Darrah smiled. "You don't, do you? Well, I guess you don't remember me telling you my name a few minutes ago, either. Name's Darrah, it means free, and here in my alley, you don't need a home to be free. And guess what? You don't need to remember your name, you can just rename yourself like I did. My name used to be Beauty. But people just called me Cat anyway. So here I am, with my own name!" She lay a paw over the kitten when he snuggled into her. Not a second late, the usual pain came to her heart. She knew her golden days were near an end.

(Oh yeah, sorry. I was caught up in the bio, and I was stuck in omegle. I got to talk to pewdie...)

Manx shrugged and fell backwards onto his back. "I dunno. You ever been turtle hunting?"

Darrah got up slowly and stretched, like any cat. Her feline heartburn made the proccess almost snail speed. "Well... Since you look like that other kid so much, how do you like the name Tomo?" She was finally standing up, only to stumble down and curl into a tight ball. She had all the pain she had registered in one hour. An ache in her side, a knot in her back, a twisted claw, and also her feline heartburn.

(I thought I would have a post for Laila, since she is so adorable plus I planned out several posts for her so she could do with anything that changed, like my other characters.)

Laila slowly wandered around, crouching low in the grass. She had been living on her own perfectly her whole life, not a single scratch. She still had visions of her mother, though they had always been hazy. But Laila was a visionary, or so told by her best freind. As predicted, her freind was killed by the paws of a dog. She laid her ears back, hearing two cats speaking in a den. She loved raids, and never got an opportunity often, much less a successful one. She crept toward an entrance, slowly peeking in. It was plushie heaven... She knew it was the right choice. Keeping her ears back and a low profile, she hid in the largest pile. Her multicolored patches helped her blend in. Her pupils were absolutely huge, as usual during a raid.

Laila slowly shrunk back. "Shh! What are you doing?! Their gonna see you!" She looked around, then smacked the black side of her face against a darker cushion. She also tried to make her pupils bigger, so they looked like the buttons on the bear beside her. She noticed her hind legs were showing, so she kicked them backward.

Laila eyed around carefully, as if she assumed Darrah was watching. "Not really. I'm Laila, I live behind the fence over there. I look around once in a while when I'm hungry. Plus, I saw that my mother is somewhere around here. I saw that I would only see her when she dies, though, and the reason I'm here now is because my senses tell me it is right here... Right. Now." Darrah felt a piercing pain in her heart, one too terrible to live through. She couldn't breathe at all, partly because of five broken ribs. She crouched down, rolling onto her side. Laila shrunk back in the toys, too frightened to move. "Momma?" Darrah's eyes were open wide, and she tried to breathe as much as she could. "My dying wish... Is to see Shadow dead..." With that, she was dead. Laila rushed out of her hiding space and nuzzled against Darrah's fur.

Manx smirked, heading towards the exit. "Well, I'm gonna teach you how to hunt like a pro."

Manx trotted out and into the yard behind the fence, stopping at the pond. He got down in a puppy play position, carefully eyeballing the water.

Manx dove into the water, and came back up with a turtle squirming in his jaws. "Soft shell, the best kind."
