Shadow stayed still for the human and tried not to claw him.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

(Hmm... What a georgalistic thought, your skills in georgism are amazing. How georgalicious!) George took a roll of gauze and neosbourine from his only pack of possessions. He gently rubbed the medicine on the wound, wrapping the gauze around it. He took out a needle and thread, and carefully sewed the lids of Shadow's eye together to help it heal without getting dirty. He rinsed off the blood with rainwater in his hand, then found a substitute for a cone and placed it on Shadow's shoulders. "This will keep you from disturbing your bandaids. You'll have to keep it on for a while, but don't worry. It'll come off when it's ready."

Shadow wiggled her head side to side when the strange thing was put around her neck. She moved her front paw to try and pull it off and hissed in disapproval. She looked at Manx with a look that showed how angry she was now that the thing was around her neck like she was a dog.

Tomo ran off. he had done enough today. he skidded round a corner and ran, ran as far away as he could. He eventually ran into a garden, and hid in a bush there. he threw up, and that made him feel a little better. tomo washed himself and curled up, then he quietly fell asleep.

Manx laughed at Shadow's disappointment. "Congrats, you are now officially a Manx. Oh, uh... Don't be surprised if he calls you Mrs. Manx. He did that to my freind Jasper. Yeah... Never took him to the rat derby again... Poor guy. Accused of being a lady AND stuffed in a satellite just like yours. Actually, I think thats his, there's his claw."

Shadow gave George a hard stare before turning to Manx and saying,while still trying to get the thing off,"How long does this thing have to be on? I don't like it."

George saw Shadow narrow her eyes and figured she liked the scratch. He rubbed a place between her ribs and her spine, which for Manx was the place that made him try to scratch like a dog.

George gently pushed her claws away from her cone. "Trying to be tough, eh? I know a good secret that always works with Mr. Manx." He slid the cone off, then stroked her from the chin to the chest.

Shadow was now happy that the cone was off and rolled onto her back with a happy purr.
