Shadow got out of the tunnel when she heard the cat and ran towards her.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Manx bounded up out of the den, yanking Shade up by the scruff and yanking her away from the dogs. He growled with his fur standing on end, his back arching higher than the brooklyn bridge. "You best get out of here before I tear you two to shreds! You know you're not allowed past the fence!"

Shadow stood there,her good eye locked on the dogs. She then hissed out,"Leave now! Or you won't have the legs to leave with." An evil smirk went across her lips and she started to walk back towards her den.

Manx bit one of the dogs on their legs, then raced off before more harm could be done. Shadow, that she-devil. What more trouble was she planning?

Shade found herself back in a little tunnel with Manx and Shadow there with her. She tried to stand but felt a surge of pain go through her.She let out a cry. "Wh-what happen?" she asked them

(Might as well make Shadow sleep too.) Shadow curled up around her to protect her and fell asleep with her head put,protectively,on her side.

As Shadow slept over her Shade felt like she had a mother again.She could feel the warmness of her pelt and Shadow protecting her. As she dreamt she saw her mother again but this time she almost looked like Shadow. Then Shade was taken away by a human along with her mother. They were then put in the same cage. Shades mother had said that we might be adopted and live with a human. Shade was first excited until after a week another human came and tooke her mother away into a door and never saw her again. Shade awoke with a startle now realizing what happened to her life- from having a perfect life to roamin the cold streets..

Shadow's ear twitched when she felt her move,but she didn't awaken. She made a faint noise,like a purr,and went back into her deep sleep.

After Shade had woken up she stared at Shadow for a while she almost looked exactlly like her mother and acted like it too but she was sure they had put her mother to sleep. Well thats what Shade learned what happened after you dont get adopted at the pound What if her mother got adopted yet Shade didnt?

(Oi! Miss me?) Manx had been guarding the den for a while, and when he saw Shade get up he yawned. "Great. Okay, your turn now prissy." He lay down next to Shadow, curling his tail around her the way his father did to him.

She turned her head and almost forgot why she was there. " Oh ok sure" Shade said as she walked over. She then guarded outside the same Manx did except she decided to good off and play with the little mice.
