A growling Viola bursed out of the bushes, pitch black fur easily visible against the bright backdrop of early morning(Yeah, had no idea what the time was. :P). She was in her bobcat form and currently in a mad pursuit of a large rabbit that was bounding in front of her.Her paws pounded noiselessly on the ground as she covered the space between herself and her prey. She snatched it right off the ground and continued running until she reached the shade of a tree, snapping the rabbit's back in the process.
The cat was rather skinny and her bones were slightly visible against her fur. And unlike normal bobcats, Viola had pitch black fur. The product of melanism.
Viola was only eleven years old and already living alone, abandoning her parents a couple months before. They actually had been relieved when Viola had gone and remained unaware of her power. She preferred to remain in her animal form most of the time and mostly ate raw meat, which was how she managed to go without an adult caretaker. She actually resented being cared for by another being.
She finished off the rabit rather quickly and stalked toward a small town that sat alone below the hills in a rather large valley. The air smelt fresh and clean and small houses that dotted the opposite hillside, giving the area a welcoming feel. It was hard to believe that just last week she had p*censored*ed through a bustling city that was littered with trash and overrun with business people, walking through the streets hurrying to their work just hoping they wouldn't arrive late.
She sighed, taking in the nice view as she creeped slowly down the hill.
