This is a thread I dug out from about this time in 2011. I rather like the idea, so I wanted to have another go at it. So without further ado...
Why hello there. Allow me to offer a proper introduction. My name is Roy, Roy. G. Biv. You probably know me as a child’s way to remember the colors in the rainbow: Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue-Indigo-Violet. But I’m also the creator of the Rainbow Prophecy. Oh you don’t recall it? Well, then, let me refresh your memory.
On the night of December 23rd, at the precise strike of midnight, seven ordinary souls from a younger generation will go through a change. They will take on the colorful properties of the rainbow, changing hair color, eye color, and clothing color, and gain the powers of their color. Sounds wonderful, no? Well, there’s a twist. On that night, darkness will overtake everything, leaving the sun hidden behind a veil of shadows. There will be eternal night unless the seven warriors, aided by the power of their color, can restore the master rainbow hidden away at a secret location called ‘Vivid Falls’.
Of course, once each of them does their part to restore the faded and broken rainbow, they will lose their powers and color. But light will be restored!
But what’s a hero without a villain? Well, villains. The Shadow Wraiths are spirits of dark energy that wish to stop anyone who tries to restore light to the world. They wish that the darkness stays, for that is what they thrive in. They usually travel in groups, so be prepared!
Oh, what’s this? By looking on my calendar, it is December 22nd. Are you ready for the stroke of midnight?
Here are the colors, and their powers:
Red: Taken You use fire. Of course, nothing that can cause fatal burns. You are also unaffected by burns, not taking any damage from fire. Orange: Taken You can transform into animals temporarily, taking on their qualities. You also have better relationships with animals, and can understand their speech. Yellow: Taken You use electricity, and sometimes create accidental thunderstorms. You are unaffected by lightning and other forms of electricity. Green: Taken You can control and create plants. The most commonly used is vines. You are unaffected by poisonous plants, and briars don’t seem to scratch you. Blue: Taken You can control/ create water. You can’t drown people, though. You can also breath underwater. Indigo: Taken You can turn invisible, clothing included. You can also create up to four duplicates of yourself. Violet: Taken You are telekinetic and telepathic. You can also mimic the powers of others, though it doesn’t last long and they aren’t near as strong as the original. You can only mimic one at a time.
Rules:
Respect all who join this thread. Use a form of Ooc. Only one of each color. Gender ratios semi- even. Gonna have to work something out, now that I realize a Rainbow has seven colors, which is uneven. Ages from 15- 19. There can be some colorless characters somewhere, to even the ratio. No photographs. You may use artwork of any type, so long as it is appropriate. Deions are also wonderful. Two charras max per person. I’m flexible with this rule, just ask for extras ^_^ Romance/ Violence encouraged. Just no set crushes/ loves. No charra knows that they’re gonna be a color, but can already have knowledge of the prophecy. Shadow Wraiths can be played by anyone, there’re tons of them. Post ‘Roy. G. Biv’ Underlining the letter of the color you want. Take one color at a time, and request a second if not many people join. I call violet.

Name: Ibuki Takane
Age: Fifteen
Gender: Male
Color: Indigo
Appearance: Ibuki stands at 5-foot-2-inches and weights exactly 90 pounds. Before the effects of the Rainbow Prophecy, Ibuki's hair is brown, and his eyes are a reddish-brown. Afterwards, his hair becomes an Indigo color and his eyes match them. Ibuki is very slender and pale. His body is soft, with little muscle and no excess fat.
He often wears heavier clothes such as thick jeans and hoodies in the winter. He also wears over-ear headphones quite often to listen to music and block out other noises. Due to his asthma, he needs to wear a gas mask to filter out toxins that would trigger an attack. When not in use, it hangs down around his neck. He also paints his nails.
Personality: Ibuki is a quiet, polite boy. He's rather shy, and won't really speak unless spoken to, and even then his voice is short and he isn't talkative. He isn't particularly used to interacting with people, as other than his grandfather, he doesn't really know many people. Ever since his parents died, he tends to take on a melancholic ex
pression. Despite this, he is actually quite strong willed, even determined. If not for his asthma holding him back, he would probably be a very driven individual. Quite intelligent and creative, he's usually one to spend his personal free time reading, writing, or drawing. It's his dream to become a famous writer or manga-ka in Japan.
History: Ibuki's great-great grandfather came to the city from Japan with his wife and settled there, building a Japanese-style home on land near the edge of city at that time. With the expansion, the area the home is in is now considered the more rich part of town. It has been tradition in the family that, although the next generation typically moves out at adulthood, the oldest living generation will take up residence in the household. Currently this is Ibuki's grandfather.
For the first ten years of his life, Ibuki lived with his parents in the city suburbs. Since he was very young, Ibuki had bad asthma that separated him from his peers. He couldn't spend much time outside for fear of dust and pollen agitating his condition, and even indoors he couldn't play the same as his peers.
When Ibuki was seven, his grandfather began training him in kendo. He believed that Ibuki could be trained to handle more and more exertion if he progressed slowly. As well as trying to train him physically, Ibuki's grandfather trained him mentally as well. He was much more traditional than Ibuki's parents, and was the one that taught him a lot of tradition and only spoke to him in Japanese to keep Ibuki's language skills keen.
At age ten, however, things changed for the worse. Ibuki got into a car accident with his parents, and both of them were killed. Ibuki was badly injured. After over a month in the hospital, Ibuki was released to his grandfather and began living in the house his great-great grandfather had built. Although in the past three years, he'd shown good progress at kendo, the accident and loss of his parents worsened his asthma, and he could never handle more than basic kendo. His asthma was so bad he couldn't leave the home without wearing a gas mask to filter triggers that could cause him to have an attack. Unable to continue school in his condition, his grandfather, who was a retired teacher, began homeschooling him.
Other: Ibuki is bilingual, able to speak both English and Japanese fluently, and only has a very slight accent.

A five foot, one inch girl with dark skin and black hair, black eyes. Cameron weighs about one-hundred-fifteen pounds, and is a little insecure about it. Her hair is straight, parted on the left, and ends just after her chest. Usually, she dresses modestly, and prefers to wear to plain colored clothing that don't show a lot of skin. Personality: Cameron is a serious girl who tends to see the glass half empty. She is soft spoken, and often prefers not to say anything at all. As a result, she has never been very popular. Despite her serious nature, Cam is usually a happy person, whether it shows or not. Like most sixteen year old girls, Cam likes to be away from her parents. Typically, she can be seen hanging out in the local park, mall, or Starbucks; with or without her friends. Cam has a short temper, and will often feel the need to express her anger through violence. Rarely will she ever hit someone; her target is usually an inanimate ob
ject. In school, Cam is an excellent student, due to both her parents pushing her to excel and her being a bit of a perfectionist. To sum all that up Cam is serious, a "debbie-downer", soft-spoken, quiet, happy, independent, short tempered, an excellent student, perfectionist. History: Cameron was born to two history and myth-loving parents who were eager to teach their daughter everything they knew. Growing up, Cam had a normal childhood with an abnormal dose of history and myth. She has knowledge of the 'Rainbow Prophecy', due to her parents, but she had decided for herself that it was myth. Colorful hair, she thought, could only be achieved with dye. At age eight, Cam was diagnosed with type one diabetes. Name:Taylor Cross Age:17 Gender: Female Color: Red Appearance: Taylor stands at 5'6" and has dark brown hair with hazal eyes. She is slim and has some musle in her arms but it rarely shows. Her hair is a bit short and has bangs covering her right eye. Taylor usually wears jeans and her favorite, worn out leather jacket over her white T-shirt. Personality: Taylor is definatly a tomboy and doesnt care what other girls think about her appearance. She prefers to be a lone-wolf and escapes from her foster home to roam the streets, away from the other kids and her foster parents who wish she wasnt a rebel. Taylor has slight anger issues and has a reputation at school for going to detention all the time and not being afraid to hit anybody. She doesnt have any friends because she is called weird for being a tomboy and the way she is but she doesnt care.
History: Taylor doesnt know who her real parents are. Her real mom and dad abandoned her at the foster home she is currently at when she was 6 months old. Her foster parents are constantly trying to get her to be more social and teach her the proper way to behave but she never listens. Since Taylor was 6 she was really into super heroes and eventually found out about the Rainbow Prophecy. She thought that one day she would find a person from the prophecy and they would take her away from the life she hates, but after she turned 11 she realized they were never going to come and lost her hope in ever getting out of here. Taylor has met many parents who tunred her down because they wanted more- 'perfect' kids. Since 12 she often snuck out into the city to find adventure. Roy G. Biv <-- Major Fail

Personality: Kai is the gentlemanly sort, always willing to hold a door or carry something for a lady. He is rich, though he does not have the snobby attitude that one might expect. He acts mature, as this is how his family raised him to be. This does not mean that he does not enjoy the occasional joke, however, and he is known to playfully tease people from time to time. He does not judge people for their appearance or background, but rather prefers a nice conversation to determine the personality of a person. These conversations are best with hot tea and a pastry, or so he claims. History: He grew up on the rich side of town, but he enjoys wandering the city streets and shopping at the mall. People often give him strange glances because he always dresses very formal and fancy. He is an only child, happy that his parents have set aside the entire estate for him to inherit when they pass. Other: Credit for the art goes to original artist, I only did a little recoloring.

Anime style or any artwork is acceptable, just no actual photographs. As you get to know me you will find that I am a strange one with very strange policies. I just don't want people to have their photos plastered about my threads without their permission. I'd hate to see my photo on a random Rp board, after all.))
