Most of the lions were still asleep, and the prey seemed like that too. He sighed, feeling his tail twitch. Ketu wanted his lead hunter and a few others up, so they could start the day. Just then, he saw movement in the tall gra-ss. - Kala heaved herself up to her paws. "Luta, wake up." She nudged her sister. "The sun has risen, and Ketu looks like he's awake." Kala received a snore in return. "Luta! Wake up!" Kala poked her sister in the ribs. "Huh? Uhh... wha?" Luta jerked awake and shot up. Kala nodded towards their leader on the Great Rock. "Ketu's up, and he looks like he's ready for the day." Said Kala in a low voice. - Halphas knew he was near lion territory. He could smell their scent. 'This is not a good idea.' The black lion thought to himself. But Halphas couldn't resist the sweet scent of water, and the abundance of prey in the area. The oasis was what the lone lion needed, as he slowly slunk towards the waters, hoping the sleeping pride of lions wouldn't notice.

Talin was bored, and that was never a good thing. Lying on the ground, tall, sun-dried gras.ses swooping above her had gracefully, she waited for the right moment to spring on the next lion to pa.ss by her. Narrowing sharp amber eyes Talin dug her claws into the soft earth, already feeling the anticipation of the fake attack. Nothing ever happens around here, the tawny lioness complained to herself, one ear twitching. A faint commotion to her left caused Talin to shift her head to the side, though she couldn't see any familiar lions, or any lions at all for that matter. But there had been a noise, and it had certainly been to large of one for it not to be a lion or hyena. [Is it alright if she heard Halphas?] -- Jay bounded through the undergrowth, refreshed by his morning walk. Blinking soft brown eyes the lion whisked his tail from side to side as he headed towards the pride's resting place, enjoying the feeling of the warm breeze ruffling his mane. [Complete fail. >:U Bad kitty.] |
