Halphas sighed, lifting his head from the life-giving waters of the oasis. He gave the sleeping lion pride one last look. But Halphas saw something twitch in the gra-ss, as forms started rising. Halphas pressed himself to the ground and tried to slink away as quietly as he could, hoping the lions wouldn't see a moving black blob.

Kalaseru and Luta finally got off their paws, Luta still feeling the effects of her sleep. Luta made a quick inspection of their surroundings. "Well, looks like everyone is still asleep." She said cheerfully. Kala squinted her eyes. "No, I see a lion approaching. Oh, it's just Jay." She relaxed her muscles. "Well, I think we can relax for a bit until Calyx wakes up." Kala said to her sister.

Ooh...a black lion? I've never seen one of those. Which means it might not be a lion to begin with. Luckily, I don't have a little voice of conscience. Baring her teeth in a grin Talin began to slink forwards, her body pressed flat against the soft earth. Ears twitching slightly and nostrils flared, Talin tried to pinpoint the exact position of the black animal, as it's body was broken up the many shadows that adorned the plain.

Calyx let out a yawn, stretching her small paws to the sky. Her eyes flittered open, her tail swishing to and fro. She blinked the grit out of her eyes and stumbled out of her den sleepily. "Koohhaakkuu~!" She said, licking her paw and swiping it over both her ears. "Feed mee~" She giggled, batting at the male's ears. Kohaku, who had been walking by Calyx's den, hissed. Just his luck. "Go get it yourself," He said emotionlessly, smacking her paw lightly away. "Koo-haku," Calyx growled, making Kohaku's tail and ear flick upward. He shivered. "Fine!" He snapped, hitting Calyx with his tail upside the tail. Calyx mewed pitifully, rubbing her nose, but she couldn;t help smirk. He was so easily controlled. Too bad for him, Calyx took advantage of it.

Angel yawned. She stretched and grolwed a little. She wasn't ready to wake up. But... she had to. She stood up and stretched once more. ANgel padded outside and smiled. Her hair fell in front of her eye. She had never liked her eyes, not that they were bad, but aquamarine eyes on a black and silver lionesss? She'd be a freak show.Angel looked at the other dens.She smiled and sat down, enjoying the scenery with her left eye.

TAro was already up. He had caught a small zebra, and dragged it to the meat pile. " I'll get some more later.

((FAIL))

Ketu took another quick look at the pride. Most lions were up already, and Talin seemed to be very interested in something. Having no time to deal with the single lioness at the moment, Ketu made his way down the Great Rock to Calyx and Kohaku. "Calyx." He called, approaching the lioness. "I'd like you to organize a hunting group. A herd of gazelle are probably near." He nodded to Kohaku and waited for Calyx's reply.

Luta's eyes widened when she saw Taro bring in the zebra. "You went hunting." She asked Taro flatly. "By yourself."

Kala saw Ketu climbing down the Great Rock and heading towards Calyx. "I could use a hunt." She murmured, flicking her tail on Luta's shoulder to alert her sister that she would be gone for a bit. Kala then started towards Calyx, Ketu and Kohaku, stopping a few feet from them.

Halphas thought he heard the gra-ss move. He dismissed this, thinking that it was the wind. "One drink from a lion pride's oasis surely won't hurt them." He mumbled to himself as he continued to crawl away from the pride. 

Ketu sighed. Calyx was so... childish at times. In fact, most of the time. But she was the best hunter and no lion in the pride could deny it. "Up to you, Calyx." Ketu said. "Well, if that's all, then I'm done." He slunk away from the two lionesses.

Kala shrugged. "I could go for a hunt." She said, nodding in agreement to Calyx's choice. "Luta's with Taro right now, so we could wait for awhile. Besides, Taro just brought in a zebra. That should feed the pride for awhile." 

Calyx turned to Taro. "Alone?" She asked, hissing slightly. In her mind, Taro had ruined her Hunt. She loved to kill~ And now she couldn't kill as much prey today. Her tail flicked to and fro irritably. "Fine." She sighed, sitting down and swishing her tail over her two front paws to keep them from flicking others.

Kohaku shuffled his wings, staring at Calyx. What would her reaction be? he wondered. He frowned when she just sat down. He wanted to see some excitment.

Taro looked at Calyx. " I only caught one zebra, You're free to do the rest." he mumbled.He turned to Luta. " Yeah, I was bored." he said, a little gentler.He looked back at Angel. He growled a bit.She was so..... weird. She wasn't like the other lions in a way, and he could sense it.Even though she was his sister, he didn't like her.He looked at Luta and Calyx. " I'll be right back." he said, staring at Angel.

Angel flicked her tail as she stood up.She yawned and went to the watering hole. She leaned down for a drink, and Taro raced towards her. She heard him, but couldn't re-act quick enough, and he pushed her in the water. he laughed. " Ha, a little wet, are we?" he asked, still laughing.Angel frowned. Taro was already back by Calyx and Luta, like nothing had happened.Angel's hair stuck to hier face, making it hard to see.

"Bored? Then you should've taken me along." Luta grinned. She watched as Taro and Angel tortured each other with a faint smile. She and Kala would never do that. Well, Kala was a bit too sensitive, so Luta was always afraid of injuring her sister, even on accident. Luta snapped from her little trance-like state. "Well," She said, getting up. "I suppose we should start the hunt now, shall we, Calyx?" 

TAro smiled at them. " May I join?" he asked, smiling." Not that much to do around here."

Angel trudged out of the water. Her hair was dripping.She didn't dare touch her brother, though. AShe would get it harder. She was humiliated. It was horrible. She whimpered back to her den. She layed her paws in her head and sighed.

Calyx growled at Taro. "You certainly may not!" She snapped. "You'v already hunted, remember? By yourself." She added, her tail flicking to and fro irritably.

Luta tiled her head to one side. "Why can't Taro join us, Calyx?" She asked curiously. The lead hunter seemed rather irked by Taro's presence. "Just because he's hunted doesn't mean he can't help us again. Besides, if Taro joins, I bet we can bring down a full-grown buffalo today!" Luta grinned.
