Slate prowled over his lands, the wispy gra.ss brushing his under furs. With his mouth hanging open in a feline pant, his paws splatted out under each slow push of a step. He soon came upon his destination, a rough rock that was perfectly placed under the shade. He lied down on it and rolled over to his back, letting the shade cool his stomach which was boiling with bones and meat.

Dream was low in the scenery, hardly noticeable if it wasn't for her abnormal blue and cloud blue pelt. A somewhat young thompsans gazelle was in her sights, grazing normally as most of them always where. This one was satisfying for her, seeing as young are easier to catch, and this one was strayed from his herd. She rushed her tongue over her long fangs, itching for the thrill of flesh under their edges. Making another careful step, she inched closer to the brown hide. Suddenly, her joints sprung into action and she propelled from the ground. The gazelle grunted in surprise, but only fell do to Dream's du claw tripping, and now her fangs digging into his neck. It was over now, and she started dragging the kill back to a tree.

Raisa quickly turned her head to Dream, who had caught a gazelle. "Less work for me." She smiled lightly and padded over to the rock Slate was lying on. Being careful not to make much noise, she layed down on a lower part of the stone, let the limited amount of shade cool her thick fur.

"I saw some meat, but Dream beat me to it." She sighed, then turned her body to face the large male. Slate was the only lion that she usually spoke to, and even then, she didn't say much."Does it seem, hotter today?" She asked, looking out onto the open Savannah.

Slate rose his tail and thumped it back down. "Well yes, thats only because it's July. Don't worry, I have a feeling this winter is going to be somewhat rewarding." He said. |

Slate's stubby ears rose to look at Dawn. "What is it!?" He yowled, grunting as he glared at her extended belly. "I think you are going into labour." He said, but then stepped back. "Dreamcatcher knows about this I think." He said, then ran after her.

Dream immediately rose her tail in defense at the leader of the pride, and defensively hissed. But then she noticed he was not bearing harm over her. "WHAT." She growled, still wary of the foe.

"Dawn is giving birth." He said, "Don't you know stuff about that?" He growled, tail flicking in annoyance.

Dream snickered. "Yes, but I would not by the hair of my fangs give birth to a cub of your pride." She growled, turning around to her kill. "She can do it herself." She mumbled, as her neck hung from her shoulder cuffs to begin eating.

Slate huffed and thumped his tail. "I don't have time for cub's such as yourself." He said, turning to move back to his pride. |

Dawn started panting quickly, the pain rising each second. "B-Birth. What a beautiful, and painful process..." She said quietly, looking for anyone who could help. ----- Raisa started running towards the scream, expecting to see someone being attacked. Raisa was surprised by the sight, Dawn was giving birth. She hadn't had any children, and had no idea of what to do. "I'll get some..uh..water..." Raisa darted off towards the watering hole. ((Raisa isn't heartless enough to ignore a lioness in labor. XD))
