Jade sat in the large armchair seated by the fireplace, her legs curled up against her chest. The glow of the flames illuminated her pale skin, bringing out her eyes in an autumn glow. Turning the well worn page, she grasped the next sentence in a reading flurry, notebooks and text books scattered around her, tumbling off her lap and into the thick rug beneath her.
She seemed not to notice, focusing only on her chapter. This was the part where the romantic Mr. Darcy and the strong Elizabeth met at his house, where his sister was playing the piano. Elizabeth, who was watching the two through the small door crack, was caught and she fled.
Fear gripped her heart as she sped on, passing through each chapter with ease. Jade grew up in books. They were her friends, they were her companion. Even though her parents tried to get her away from the action filled pages, Jade would always turn to a good book in the end. It was her nature, and you wouldn't pass through the lounge once without seeing her already seated in her armchair, reading.

Daemon picked up his violin from the stand it was rested on, gently lifting it to his shoulder. Resting his neck in the small crook provided, he ran the bow over the strings with ease. The way he controlled the bow, willing it to flow over the taut strings like a river, made playing the violin look easy.
Gently, he began his song, the melody pouring out in a stream of notes, seeming to speak for itself, causing people outside his door to fall silent. A shadow passing by suddenly halted by his door, lingering outside for a while before moving on again.
Suddenly, he heard the singing of a harp nearby, snapping him out of his own trance and seeming to drag him into the annonymous musician's own work. Setting down his violin, he stepped over to the door, hesitating to open it.

"Woo, that was so much fun!" Sanae said, bursting into the hotel. The white snow covered her head, winter jacket and boots, though it was evident that Sanae had did her best to get rid of those snowflakes before entering the hotel. She looked around the hotel lounge, a bit disappointed that people weren't as excited as her. Sanae's favorite holiday was quickly approaching, and she was quite happy with the hotel for at least dressing the place up a bit.
The fire place suddenly looked extremely comfortable, drawing Sanae near. She inched toward the warm flames, noticing a head poke out from the armchair that sat in front of the fireplace. Sanae nodded a quick greeting to the girl, not forgetting her manners.

Levi had been out horse-back riding, a pastime that wasn't so popular in the winter. He had woken up with absolutely nothing to do, deciding to sneak out to the stables to check out the horses. The employees there were kind enough to allow Levi to go out on a quick ride, seeing as the boy was barely unable to contain his energy. As he approached the stables, Levi easily jumped off his horse, giving the stallion a quick pat on the head. He handed the reins back to the employee, thanking them for their kindness, and returned to the hotel.
There, Levi had approached the bar and ordered some tea, getting a few odd looks from the bartender. An American boy, sitting in a corner and drinking tea during Christmas did seem rather odd, but Levi shrugged the looks off. As he sipped his hot beverage, Levi quietly scanned the room. It was awfully boring, with people wrapped up in books or playing boring instruments. He sighed dramatically, wishing there had been a hill near the hotel for skiing and sledding.

Paige finished her hot cocoa finally and got up placing her empty mug on a rack marked 'dirty dishes'. Paige wasn't quite ready to head up to her room and there was nothing to do in the lobby and acompanied with the fact that it was still fairly light outside, or at least in her book, Paige went up to the front desk manager, "You guys have a snow boarding hill around here right?" she asked folding her arms over the desk and looking at the person behind it.
"Yes we do ma'm. It's just up the road a ways. Take the second right down the path and then you ought to see a place to rest a board and the ski lift is fairly obvious." Said the man. Paige noded and headed out the door but came back inside shortly after once she remebered her scarf was still on the couch she had been sitting on. She wrapped it around her neck before heading out again and following the desk managers direction. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kasey left his cup at the table before sliding out of the booth and walking out of the cafe flipping the collor of his jacked up to protect him again the flurry of snowflakes wizzing around. He made his way into the lobby of the hotel where he found plenty of others lounging about either play instruments, reading, or what he was pretty sure was writing a song. He waved politly at the desk manager before sitting down in one of the chairs in front of the warm fire and warmed himself up from his briefe travel in the snow flurry.

Jade looked up at the people starting to pour in, a sigh escaping her. Now it'd be noisy, with all of their hubbub buzzing through her ears like a hive of angry bees. Tugging gently on the large sweater she wore, Jade reached for her notebook, only to drop all of her contents in her bag.Scrambling for her wallet, phone, and any other valuables, she tossed them in hurriedly, hoping no one was watching. Her cheeks burned bright red, embarrassed. Yeah, I'm definitively ready for some fresh air now. She thought to herself, picking up her belongings and briskly walking up to her room.

Daemon casually leaned over the railway of the top of the stairs, his hands dangling off the edge. People passed by, ignoring him like he was invisible, but that was fine. Walking down the steps, he stopped at the fireplace, noticing people were already there. Whatever. He thought, turning away.
((Sorry. It's short. xDDD Btw, if you guys look up Old Faithful Inn at Google Images, that's what I imagine the Seasons Inn place to be set out like. I stayed there and I LOVE it there. Very cozy, very nice. c; Except I imagine more snow and stuff around it, too, since it's winter and all. xD))

(Since I used italics for her singing, bolded words are going to be thoughts.)
Yukari opened her eyes and felt the tears trickling down her face. Looking around she noticed otherpeople around the fireplace. Her face grew really hot and she knew she was blushing. Yukari hated when people came near her when she was playing music, because she never notices them.
Wiping away the tears, she quickly gathered her harp, got up from the couch and walked quickly away with her head down. She did not notice the boy right in front of her until she had plowed right into his back.
She let out a cry of surprise as her harp went sailing from her hands. Yukari fell backwards and felt fresh tears stinging her eyes. She tried to muster out an apology but could not get anything out through her sobs. That was all I had left from home. Now bet it is broken, and I have probably just made this boy angry. Everyone probably thinks I'm a big baby too. This is the worst day ever!

Daemon turned around to see a girl crying, her harp broken. "Oh, you were the girl that plays the harp." He said, extending his hand towards her to help her up. "Are you alright?" He asked, bending over to pick up her harp. Luckily, only a string was broken, and Daemon knew how to easily fix that. "Ah, just a broken string. I have a few spares up in my room." He said to her, taking out the broken string from the wooden frame. "Come on. We'll go get it." Daemon said with a smile, grabbing her wrist and leading her up the stairs.

Yukari sniffed and wiped away the tears with her other hand. She kept walking behind this boy who seemed really kind. She couldn't explain why, but when he was holding her wrist she felt like nothing would be wrong. Finally, when she had stopped sobbing, she was able to mutter a quiet thank you. Yukari felt like such an idiot and hoped that this boy did not think badly of her. He probably just thinks I am a big blubering baby.

Daemon shrugged, opening the door for her. Closing it gently behind him, he grabbed the violin case off of his bed and pulled out a few strings. Figuring that the harp and the violin were similar string wise, he tied the cord in with his nimble fingers and handed it to her. "Play something." He said, leaning back on his pillows.

Yukari looked at him, eyes wide. She had neer been asked to just play something. Hen it became apparent that he was serious, she racked her brain for an appropriate song. Suddenly a song her grandfather used to sing to her grandma popped into her head. Taking the harp into her hands she closed her eyes again and let her small fingers play across the strings, testing tem. The violin string fit perfectly amongst the others and the harp produced a beautiful sond. Sayisfied she began to play the song and opened her mouth to sing.
Oh, Shenandoah, I love your daughter,
Away, you rollin' river,
For her I've crossed the rollin' water,
Away, we're bound away,
Across the wide Missouri.
The trader loved anindian maiden,
Away, you rollin' river,
With presents his canoe was laden,
Away, I'm bound away,
Across the wide Missouri.
Oh, Shenandoah, I long to hear you,
Away, you rollin' river,
Oh, Shenandoah, I long to hear you,
Away, I'm bound away,
Across the wide Missouri.
Yukari opened her eyes and looked at the boy who so kindly fixed her harp. She searched his face for any sign of approval.

Daemon closed his eyes as she played, letting the music sway him. When she finished, he opened his eyes in approval and nodded to her. "That was beautiful." He said with a smile, running a hand through his hair. "Do you play the violin, too?" He asked, motioning to the wooden instrument sitting by the window.

(You know it Pyrr haha)
Yukari let a smile stretch across her face. Those few words of approval lifted her spirits a whole lot. She glanced over at the beautiful wooden instrument near the window. Turning her head back around to face the boy she said, "No I don't play the violin, but I do play the viola. Would you be so kind as to let me hear you play it?"
While she was talking she was inauspiciously checking out the boy who had her feeling so relaxed and happy. Most of all she was looking into his eyes, eyes that expressed more than words ever could.

((Sure think Rika.
Thats kind of why I said it was about time for some characters to get to know each other Moka XD)) Kasey dicided to sit down on the couch next to the guy writing music, "You like music I guess?" Kasey phrased his statement as more of a question as he looked at the guys paper. He might as well make some friends while he was here instead of mopping around the place and making himself with all the hot cocoa he was bound to drink during his stay. This guy seemed nice anough to start making friends with so why not.

Daemon reached for the violin, sitting up and resuming a number of steps that was so familiar to him. Gently lifting it to his shoulder, and setting his chin on the edge of the instrument. Putting his bow to the string, he began to strum, the bow dancing along the cords, producing a music so sweet sounding, it could make even the song birds stop to listen.
