We're all part of the same sick little games...

Plot

The humans at the lab have decided to test the endurance of a group of red foxes in the cold. One group of foxes have been genetically modified to withstand the snowy and stormy weather. You are part of the control group of foxes--you are just a normal red fox. You have it a lot harder than the modified group. You and the rest of the control group are quite upset about being taken from the wilderness, to a test lab, then dropped off in the middle of the mountains. Now you have to find your way out of the mountains and back to the forest, where you can survive and thrive.

Rule Set

1. Please respect my wishes. If I ask you to leave, please do so gracefully and quietly.
2. Only have as many foxes as you can manage.
3. If you have to go, please say so in an OOC on your last roleplay post for the time.
4. Post the ti
   tle of the forum at the bottom of your post so I know you read the rules.
5. No godmode or powerplay
6. Please keep your posts semi-literate or better. I will allow very mild chatspeak in OOC if it's just easier for you not to capitalize or anything like that, but please keep the rest of your posts...well, at least semi-literate.
7. Please do not ask to join, as I will let you join as long as you comply with all the rules.

*Since we are all red foxes...obviously we all look like red foxes. However, if there's any physical attribute of your fox that sets you apart from anyone else such as a scar, blindness/deafness, crippled, etc. this is where you'd put that information.

OOC/ All righty then. I'll go ahead and begin.

Dawsen stood with his back paws at the back of his front legs, looking around. "Is this some sort of sick joke?" he asked, partially to himself and partially to the rest of the group. He squished his eyes shut, trying to get used to the cold. "Some sort of sick, cruel joke? These Scientists just pull things on us for their own amusement. I feel birdbrained for being surprised at this."

Kitani nodded, "Humans have no respect for any other lives, not even each others." she said in her quiet voice, fluffing up her brown fur.  She hated the cold.  She glanced at her siblings.  They were a rarity, all five of the pups had survived.  She was grateful.  Secretly, she kept her eye on Ryu, The little red fox had been borna runt, and had had troubles as they grew up.

Hintah tackled Ryu, her long silver fur keeping her warm.  She plowed her borhter into into the snow.  Ryu growled and stood, shaking out his fur, "Please Hintah, We are two years old." he laughed, "No more pup games."  As he said that, Onii tackled Hintah and the two tussled in the snow, silver and dark brown blurs against the blacket of white. "Or ignore me." Ryu said, shaking his head.  He sat next to Kuro, nodding to his brother, who said nothing.

Snowbell's soft, quiet voice seemed to echo. "You guys are right..." she whispered. Snowbell fluffed her pelt up and blinked, though she saw nothing but darkness. Her blindness did not help her get used to things. She shuddered, pelt feeling frozen or something. Snowbell tilted her head. "But maybe," she whispered. "Maybe some care." At the moment it seemed impossible. She shifted uncomfortably in the coldness. Snowbell winced as Scar's ragged voice crashed into life after hers.

Scar yawned. "If you're birdbrained, then all of us are. Falling for the disgusting thing they did to us." he growled, the coldness stinging him. He remained silent, a feeling of dread had washed over him like standing beneath a waterfall. His claws clinged against each other, waiting for someone to say something reas-suring.

Kuro rose to his paws, his black fur whipping in the wind "Standing here doing nothing isnt doig us any good." He said in his deep, husky voice.  "What we need is shelter.  If we want to stick together, everyone has to pitch in, otherwise we might as well all go our seperate ways and live solitary lives.  I don't know about any of you, but I am not objected to the life of a loner, but life as a pack is better, we seperate, we are as weak as any other fox in the world, but if we stay together, we remain strong.  And we have a shot at surviving this arctic wasteland." the black fox let his gaze drift from fox to fox in the group.

Ryu rose to his paws. The small red fox had to prove himself somehow, "I will, if noone is objected to it." His eyes burned with a firey p*censored*ion and a desire to succeed.  He stood as tall as he could, still standing the shortest in the group. He smirked and seemed determined to lead the group to find shelter.

Snowbell grinned. "We have to stick together and survive." she said in her whispery voice. Her tail swished against the ground beneath her proudly. Snowbell clawed the ground and wondered who would be a good leader. Her smile faded thoughtfully as she imagined decent leaders. "Hmm." she murmured.

Scar smirked. "Then we'll stick together." he said proudly, almost as if the brilliant idea came from him. Scar's fur ruffled, signalling that he wanted to lead them all. His smirk faded into an I-don't-think-any-of-you-have-the-potential-to-lead-us-all grin.

"I think we should vote for a main leader and a secondary leader." Snowbell whispered quietly. It was a start, she shrank back into the shadows shyly. Herwhite paws stuck out but were well camouflaged against the fluffy white snow beneath them. She smiled weakly.

Scar nodded hesitantly. "Sure..." he murmured. His tail lowered slowly in agreement.

Scar stiffened. He stood still, hoping someone would go for him. His gaze floated over to Dawsen, then Ryu, then Kuro, and finally Snowbell. "Belle...?" he murmured.

Snowbell grinned to him. "Yeah, of course." she said confidently, stepping forward. She smiled proudly. Snowbell shot a glance at her brother, then back to the rest of the group. What was once a mask of shyness and fear was replaced by happiness and pride. Her tail swished against the snow silently, waiting.

Scar grinned. He had never seen his sister in such a wonderful state. Her confidence floated over to him. His fangs glinted proudly as he grinned broadly.
