Personality/History-

Daughter of Elenwen of the Thalmor, and heiress to the Aldemeri Dominion, Murcaba grew up in the lap of luxury. Beautiful novelties were lavished upon her since birth by members of the Thalmor wishing to curry favor with her mother. Despite the attention she got from mer sucking up to her mother, Murcaba herself hardly got to see Elenwen at all. For all intents and purposes, Murcaba had to raise herself, surrounded by mer and yet unable to reach out to any of them, because they feared they would be scolded for interacting with the Heiress’ child. As long as she can remember, mer have avoided making eye contact with Murcaba, avoided speaking to her whenever possible, and even straight out ignored her presence, hoping that she would go away. In such a place it’s no wonder that Murcaba sought out love and acceptance, because out of everything she had, it was the one thing she lacked. Some believe this lack of such necessary feelings in her life drove her insane, causing her to hear voices in her head and believe they were the words of the Divine Goddess, Mara. Others think that the Daedric Prince, Sanguine saw her and took advantage of her innocence, turning her into his tool. The latter would be correct, because even as Murcaba herself believed she was worshiping Mara, she was truly becoming Sanguine’s slave.

At the age of 10 she started taking to swordplay, and has become quite skilled with the use of war axes in particular. She likes to dual-wield them for maximum damage, and turns into a berserker on the battlefield, earning her the ti
tle of Murder Princess. Of course as an Altmer, she has more than impressive magic capabilities, however she was only taught the extent of healing spells and barred from any other knowledge. Her tutors feared her and what her true power might be, and they did not want to put more power into her hands than her melee training already had. On her 16th birthday, Murcaba decided she’d had enough of her mother’s ignoring her, so she boarded the first ship headed to Skyrim, without of course the permission of her retainers.

When she arrived in Dawnstar she was greeted by a young woman by the name of Chalsta, who was a Brenton pilgrim heading to pray at the Throat of the World. Not knowing much about Skyrim’s geography besides what she had read in the Thalmor library, or rather allowed to read. Murcaba convinced Chalsta to allow Murcaba to accompany her on the journey to Ivarstead, believing that her mother would be drawn to a place of power. It wasn’t until they reached the town of Whiterun that Murcaba discovered the location of the Thalmor Embassy, where her mother was last seen. It was here that she separated from Chalsta, and turned towards the city of Solitude, a step closer to her mother, or so she thought. Due to the fact that Murcaba had never traveled by herself such a great distance before, she ended up at the doorstep of the College of Winterhood, where she was welcomed for once in her life, by those who shared her interests in power and knowledge. Although she wanted to seek out her mother, the mages told her that a mother with so much power would only listen to a child with equal if not greater power. They taught her what her Thalmor caretakers would not, the most powerful of magics and how to master them. It only took her a year to become one of their more prominent mages, and the College became more of a home to her than the home she was raised in ever could. Her fellows would jokingly call her Twig, because of how skinny and malnourished she had been when she arrived at the College, and she remained thin enough throughout her time there that the name stuck.

Once she believed she had learned all she needed from the College, she resumed the search for her mother, and this is how she stands now.
