Jay rolled his eyes, then pushed the "end" button on his phone. "Well, that doesn't mean you have to come over," he said, but he stepped out of his house and hugged her anyway. "Come inside," he murmured, stepping back again and taking her hand. He led her inside, making sure to close the door gently behind them.

He led her into his room, closing the door quietly again, as if someone was in the house and he didn't want them knowing Nicole was there. Once inside his room, he walked over to his bed and promptly sat down, hands folded in his lap, lips pursed, and eyes glossy.
