Jay chuckled. "Meanie," he said, and he glanced around again. "You wouldn't happen to have a plate I could put this on, would you?" he asked, holding out the pan.

"Where is that handsome son of yours?" "Oh, don't even think about it. He's in Africa, with the lions, where he's safe." "Well, he's gotta come back sometime." "Touch him and I'll kill you while you sleep." )

Jay moved the egg from the pan to the plate, and then held it out to Nicole, smiling a bit. "There~ Once you're done, we'll go." he said.

"So, what store do you want to go to?" Jay asked, glancing around before he stopped and looked at Nicole. He smiled at her, and asked, "I can buy you something, if you'd like~?"

"I don't know..." Jay blinked, scratching his head lightly. "You tell me what you want." he said, smiling a little. "I'll buy it."

Jay raised an eyebrow. "You want a shirt just like-"

"Jaaaaayyy!" squealed a voice. It apparently belonged to an extremely feminine boy, who Jay only recognized because of his long hair. "It's me, Shay! Er, I mean, Shane. But, you know." The boy shrugged, and he set down a few of the shopping bags he was carrying. "I tell people to call me Shay."

Jay stared.

"Like I said, I'm Shay," the boy said, smiling. He looked over at Jay, still smiling. "Gee, Jay-birdie! I haven't seen you since you...stole...Kurt...from me..." As he spoke, his smile started to fade, but as soon as he finished, he grinned again. "So, hey, what's he up to nowadays? Jeez, I haven't talked to him in forever!"

I knew he was going to say something like that. Jay thought, mentally hitting himself. What a big mouth. "He's dead," Jay said, frowning a bit.

Shay's eyes widened. "You killed him!?" he cried.

Jay blinked. "No... No, I didn't..."

Jay looked at Nicole, then back at Shay. "Er..."

"I'm gonna miss him," Shay said, frowning sadly. "Best guy ever, really! But, like, I can't believe you. I mean, like, he was always tailing after you, even when he was with me." He blinked. "Okay, wait, I sorta contradicted myself, but, you know." He waved his hand. "I gotta go, anyway~ I told my friendies I'd only be a second, so buh-bye!" Shay threw his arms around Jay, hugging him tightly, and then did the same with Nicole. Then he skipped off.

"...Uhm, he doesn't really stop talking if he's in a hurry," Jay said, looking down at Nicole. "Do you want to go sit down now?"
