"I never really thought about marriage much," Jay said, trying to keep his voice level. Any change in volume might result in suspicion. Or something. "I've always been immature, and at the same time, not. Maybe-" He cut himself off there. Saying "maybe proposing to you so suddenly is a sign of immaturity" would not go over well with the ladies. In other words, it might piss Nicole off. He had no idea.

Jay smiled hesitantly. Was she, like, leading him into a trap? There was no way to know, unless he walked into it. "That's sweet," he said, giving her a smile over his arm.

She smiled. "Its true." Nicole replied.

"I'm glad," Jay wasn't sure what to say. The moment seemed awkward, especially to him. Jeez, what an odd relationship they had.

( Up~ )

Jay blinked. "Oh, yeah," he said, and made a sharp turn, his eyes widening slightly when he did. "Oops. I gotta learn to drive." He smiled sheepishly, easing into a parking space. Only one of the skaters had looked up.

( Oh. I figured someone would laugh at her for falling or you know, be boys and hoot or whistle and jay have to fight or something.  I dunno. ouo )

Nicole blined at him. "No, your a good driver.. SOmetimes." She said, laughing.

( Wait, do you mean like they'd be all like, "HOMG, HOT CHICK. Let's whistle at her even thoguh there's a guy that's so obviously her boyfriend, just to be obnoxious." 'Cause, like. That sounds appealing. )

 Jay snorted. "Sometimes," he repeated with a smile. He got out of his car, and once again opened Nicole's door.

( It happened to me and I'm not even preety so. ;c )"

Nicole hopped out as usual, smiling at Jay. "Most of the time?"

( ;c If you weren't pretty, they wouldn't do that. )

Jay shook his head, smiling still. "Sometimes," he said again, and closed the door behind Nicole. He locked his car, and gestured for Nicole to start walking again. "I'll be right behind you," he re*censored*ured her, smiling. "but, I'll be on my skateboard."

( But, I bet you are. )

A few guys looked up, noticing a female figure in the distance. There was someone behind her, but they didn't pay much attention to that. Especially when one of them let out a long whistle; that started up a racket.

Jay scowled. What the hell were they doing? Last time he checked, boys who hung out at skate rinks didn't whistle at girls. Only construction workers did. Or someting. Coming up from behind Nicole, he snapped, "Shut up!"

Jay glared for a few seconds longer, making a few of the boys look away. Some of them just stared back, smirking. Eventually, Jay sighed, shaking his head. "Whatever. Sorry for being so jealous," he said.

"Jay!" he heard a male voice say. He looked around, wondering why he had just heard Gage's voice. "Thank God you're here. I thought I wouldn't get out of here till tomorrow." Jay furrowed his brow. "...Behind the bushes. I'm behind the bushes."

The boys, realizing that the blonde they'd just tied up was Jay's friend, scrambled to their feet and ran off. Not because they were scared of Jay, of course. They outnumbered him. They only ran off because it would be funnier if they did.

Jay gets super jealous, and Gage shows up. )

"C'mon," Jay said, sighing and walking Nicole over to the bushes growing through the fence. He shoved them away, letting go of Nicole's hand in the process, and laughed when he saw Gage. He was tied up with his hands behind his back, and his legs were tied as well.

"Hi," he said, smiling sheepishly.

"They tied your legs up with your sweater?" Jay asked, raising an eyebrow. "Jeez, Gage, and I thought you could hold your own in a fight."

Gage scowled. "I was outnumbered!" he cried. And then he stopped, blinking at Nicole. "Oh, no wonder they were whistling. I thought they were whistling at Jay or something. That would've been awkward."

Jay looked back at Nicole, one eyebrow arched. "Now, that's just crazy, Nicole," he said, untying Gage. "Why would they whistle at me?

As soon as he was untied, Gage got to his feet, smiling up at Nicole. "Yeah, it would be. Plus, if they were interested in boys, they wouldn't have tied me up." he said.

Jay smacked Gage on the back of head. "Conceited," he said, smirking. Gage rubbed his head lightly, frowning. "Anyway, I was going to teach Nicole how to skateboard. Wanna stick around?" he asked, picking up the skateboards he'd been holding earlier.

Gage laughed. "Yeah, I wanna watch Nicole fall on her butt."
