"You're welcome." Jay said, and bent down quickly to give her a peck on the lips. She took her by the hand, closing the door once he'd pulled her out of the way. As soon as he did, he led her into his home.

His house looked like it did the day before, except for the jacket that was no longer draped over the couch. She bit her lip as she looked back at Jay. Hmm, what was there to say?

Jay led her over to the couch, sitting her and himself down promptly when they reached it. At the sound of someone sitting on the couch, Wolfgang trotted up, growling a little when he saw Nicole. Jay swatted at the dog's muzzle, and he shut up, sitting down politely instead.

She glanced at the dog and back at Jay without a single word. Wow, this was really akward. But, they got into these all the time, kinda. Nicole sighed quietly, and ugged herself to Jay. "Thank you." She said, completly out of no where, but she ment it.

Blinking, Jay looked at her, surprised. "For what?" he asked, wrapping his own arms around Nicole in turn. "I didn't do anything."

"Being suck a good fiancee." Nicole breathed, kissing his cheek. "I love you." She told him, her voice uneven.

"I love you too," Jay said, furrowing his brow. Jeez, what the hell's wrong, anyway? he thought, shifting closer to Nicole. "Are you okay?" he asked, looking into her eyes.

Nicole shrugged a little and shook her head no. "Nothing's wrong." she tole him, her eyebrows raised. Wow, this was probably so unconvincing.

"Well, then," Jay leaned forward and gave Nicole a soft kiss on the cheek. "let's not act so weird. I feel like we're both on edge or something."

Nicole woke up early.. well, earlier then Jay, she hoped. What happened didn't really happen.. did it? She turned her head to see Jay, and she squeezed her eyes. It had. But she had wanted, right?

Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap. Jay still had his eyes closed, and one hand tucked under his pillow, appearing to be asleep. He was a professional at looking like he was asleep, and often got away with it. If he kept "sleeping," it would give him time to think. I...what have I done before?

( JUSTLIKEYOURFACE. )

Nicole her her face turned away, her eyes still squeezed shut. Hopefully, if he woke up, he wouldn't wake her up, because she could tell it was going to be an awkward morning. What did I do?! Why did I do it?! Wait.. I wanted to do it though.. right? Was it his idea? Or was it mine? She sighed inaudibly. To answer all of her questions, she decided on a singe answer for all of the questions. Yes. It didn't make sence for an answer to most of them, and it wasn't correct, but it made everything easier.

Oh, yeah, Nicole's awake. Jay thought, and with a sigh, proceeded to sit up himself. If she was going to pretend to be asleep, then he would just have to pretend that he thought she was asleep and go take a shower. Clothes first, though. he added in his head, grabbing an outfit and towel.

Nicole just lay motionless. Was he buying this? Probably not, but if he was playing along.. her thoughts were inturupted when he got his clothes. Oh, wow..

When he came back, Jay was fixing his hair, running his fingers through it. He sat down next to Nicole, placing his hand on her shoulder and shaking her lightly as if he meant to wake her. Actually, he just meant to get her to pretend to stop sleeping.

Shi.t.. Nicole thought, turning over to face Jay. She looked up at him, and she didn't even try to fake wake up, there was no way he was falling for this, anyway. She didn't say anything, though. Why not get the awkwardness over with?
