Jay hadn't sleep much at all that night. Instead, he'd been walking around his house, bothering the hell out of Zooey and Wolfgang. But, since the dog was apparently nocturnal (either that, or he never slept), it eventually started following Jay around. That bothered Zooey even more, since the click of claws against a wooden floor happened to be very irritating at three in the morning.

She ended up throwing a shoe at Jay, which he managed to avoid by ducking. After that, he went back to bed with the dog at his heels. Next thing he knew, he was awake in his bed with a wolfdog sprawled on top of him. He checked his phone for messages and found none, so he sent one to each of his friends. With no replies after fifteen minutes, save from Gage, he texted Nicole: "Morning."

( xDD I'm going to get more. My mom'll probably be pissed if I get snake bites, but I'm gettin' 'em. And a Monroe. )

"Bad at first, but eventually, I got to sleep." Jay answered, and smiled a little. She didn't seem to be acting weird, so maybe things were good. It seemed as though spending a little bit of time apart was good for them, at least when things got ugly.

Nicole pursed he rlips for a few seconds. There were so many different emotions between then the day before, and now it was okay, somehow? Oh well, she wasn't going to argue. She wasn't going to argue with the fact that there was no arguing, and she certanly wasn't going to argue with him.

'I'm glad.' Was all she replied.

Jay hopped down the single step that led up to his front door, throwing his keys in the air and then catching them. His phone buzzed softly, and he fished it out of his pocket, reading the text and then answering, "You wouldn't mind if I came over, would you?"

Nicole walked down the stairs, phone in hand. She plopped down onto the couch and decided to wait for Jay. She clicked on the TV, not paying attention to what was on. She hoped everyhting was okay now, but if it wasn't, that was to be expected.

It seemed as though Jay had hopped out of his car and started towards Nicole's front door even before his car had come to a full stop. He knocked lightly with a single knuckle, and then stood back, smiling. He felt like a fifteen-year-old waiting for his girlfriend to finish getting ready to go to the movies.

Nicole stood, dragging her feet along the floor as she walked towards the door. After she opened the door, she stared at Jay for a minuite with a silly smile. "You don't have to knock," She chuckled. "you're practicly family." She said it in a way where only he would know what she meant. Not if, for example, her brother had heard.

Jay laughed a little bit. "I still feel the need to knock," he told Nicole, "It's really weird to just walk into someone else's house." Funny thing was, he didn't feel like that when he walked into one of his friend's houses. No one even looked at him funny when he walked into Hayden's room like nothing, going, "Get out here!"

Nicole shrugged, "Okayy," She said, turning her head to make sure that her brother hadn't come downstairs. "well, come inside." She said with a smile. It seemed kind of forced, but it wasn't.

"No problemo," Jay said, and stepped inside. His arms wrapped around her as soon as he set foot inside her house, and his lips pressed against her's lightly and only for a second. "Nervous about your brother?" he asked, an eyebrow of his twitching slightly. Her brother made him nervous.

Nicole smiled, sighing a small sigh- she always did when he kissed her. "Not really," She shrugged, wrapping her arms around him in return. She grinned, "But you are." she breathed into his shirt, glancing up at him. She wondered why her brother made Jay nervous; he should know by now that she loved him and that wouldn't change. He probably worried him because her brother knew about Kurt.
