"S'okay," Kurt smiled at Nicole, then turned around. "Jay? Wifey?" he called.

Jay averted his eyes.

"I'm gonna go get a cookie." Kurt chirped, hopping off the table and strolled across the cafeteria floor, walking with an unusual swagger that made girls sigh.

"Hideo," Jay said. Hideo single-nodded him as a reply. "you were right; Kurt really is the perfect one-nighter."

A grin spread across Hideo's face. "And you know that how?"

Jay only rolled his eyes.

Nicole made a face as she though I'd be better off not sitting with him and his strange friends, but covered it up with a smile.

At the other side of the lunchroom, in Nicole's plain sight, Kurt motioned for Nicole to come with him. He stood there, waiting for Nicole to start walking towards him.

Meanwhile, though Jay looked extremely irritated with his friend's actions, he was actually having a blast. There was nothing he enjoyed more than hanging out with his friends, and now that Nicole was with them, he felt like his life was completed.

( My arm is down my sleeve, but I don't have anything up my sleeve. :3 )

Kurt grabbed Nicole's wrist and led her away from the cafeteria, and he threw her hand down when he stopped walking. "Okay," He turned around, clasping his hands together. "where should I start?" He seemingly glared at Nicole.

"I don't even know where your going with this," Nicole murmured, "Why would I know where you should start?"

"Well," Kurt tossed his hair back. "How about this?" He leaned against the wall and took a deep breath. "The last time Jay fell in love with a girl, he stopped hanging out with his friends, and eventually, he just completely blocked us out. When the girl broke up with him, he felt too guilty to come to us.

"It was horrible. We all get into fights without Jay there, and it was really difficult to get him back. We can all see it clearly: Jay's falling in love with you. I, for one, do not want that to happen? Do you know why?" Kurt stepped forward, standing over Nicole.

Nicole looked confused, stepping out from Kurt's shaddow, "No," She asked, "And I don't think I want to Kurt." Nicole breathed softry, starring at him, which she had to look up slighty, as he was taller than her. She protested in thought, Because you can't live without him?! Jealous that he might like me as much as you??

"Jay and everyone else that's my friend believe that I'm only good as a one-nighter, and that I wouldn't do well in a relationship." Kurt bit his lip, turning away from Nicole. "But, they're wrong. I..." He turned back around. "You've noticed me hanging all over Jay, haven't you? Then, maybe, you've realized this: I want Jay. I have for a long time, and I'm not about to let some chick waltz in and take him."

Nicole's eyes went wide, and then she blinked, and they went back to the way they usualy were. "Whell, I know for a fact he loves you too," Nicole said, and gulped "As a friend. And if you realy liked him, you'd know that you could completly ruin any friendship you had, for I don't know how long, if he dosen't feel the same way abut you. And even though I've only know him for about two months, I've figured out he will tell you how he feels. And if he dosen't tell you," she gulped, "He loves you too.. I wouldn't push it. Because if he loves you, like that, more than me, I wont mind. It's whats best for his feilings, I supose." She said, and started to walk back to cafateria.

Jay looked up. "Hey, Nicole," He held out his hand expectantly, waiting for her to take it.

Oliver squint-blinked. "Where's Kurt?"

"Probably off flirting with some random freshman," Hideo mumbled, breaking a cookie in half. "Want some?" He offered the bigger half to Gage, who smiled and took it.

"Yo, what about me?" Oliver piped up. Both Hideo and Gage shrugged.

Nicole half-heartedly took Jays hand, faking a smile. She hoped it wasen't to obious.. That she was scared. Scared Kurt would take Jay from her. She sat next to Jay, putting her head on him shoulder, blinking, keeping her eyes shut for a while. She couldn't help but think this would be the last time Jay talked to her, would even look at her.

"What's wrong?" Jay asked, wrapping an arm around Nicole's waist. "Did something happen?"

"Is something did," Gage stared at Nicole through his blonde hair. "I don't think she'd tell us."

Jay only waved a hand at Gage, then smiled re*censored*uringly at Nicole. "Was it the other cheerleaders? Did they do something?"

They all smiled at Nicole, all save for Gage, who just sat there with a blank ex
pression. "What does that have to do with anything?" Hideo said finally, blinking. "I mean, we all love Jay, don't we?"

Oliver leaned over the table and patted Jay's head. "Yeah, we do."

"Yeah, I love you guys, too." Jay muttered, pushing Oliver's hand away.
