Nicole cleared her throat "Sorry," She said, "Getting off topic.. And your the one with straight A's. I don't know about Sweet and cute but.."

"Yeah, but you're smarter than the whole cheerleading team put together...I bet." Jay laughed. "I know ucky's a great adjective. All my made-up adjectives are totally snazzy," He grinned, wrinkling his nose a little. "Okay, maybe I'm going a little out of line with my adjectives, but really, Nicole. You really are sweet, cute, smart, and...Nicole, you're beautiful."

"Maybe," Nicole said softly. (In regards to her bieng smarter than the rest of the cheerleaders.) "No one's ever said that to me before.. Thank you, Jay." In fact, I can remember the rest of the cheerleaders telling me I'm a bi.tch, ugly, and stupid.. At that time it wasen't jealousy.. it was the truth. ... I can't believe how good Jay makes me feel.

Jay's smile faltered. "C...can we ditch, Nicole?" he asked in a quiet voice. "I don't want to be here anymore,"

Jay smiled. How he loved his girlfriend. "Great, then let's go to my place." he said, wrapping an arm around Nicole's waist and walking out of the school.

Nicole smiled,"'Kay," She said softly.

Jay blinked at the door to his house, then looked down at the ground. "Uh, let's just hope I have my keys with me..." He stuffed his hands into his pockets, and came up with a key and two quarters.

"This isn't even my key..." Jay said, furrowing his brow. "Uh, let's see..." He looked over at the window near the door and walked over to it, leaving Nicole at the door while he went to go search for a spare key. Once at the window, Jay pushed part of it open and slipped his hand inside, wincing when he pulled it back out.

"Here's a spare," Jay chirped, holding it up for Nicole to see. "Let's go inside." He opened the door and held it open for Nicole.

"Thanks," Nicole said softly, stepping into his house and waiting for him before going any further.

Jay grabbed Nicole's hand, shutting the door behind himself before pulling Nicole into his room again. He plopped down onto the bed with a sigh, still holding Nicole's hand. "I...can't relax my muscles..." he said into the bed covers.

"I guess," Jay sighed. "He's so stupid and senseless and reckless and careless and..." He sat up, crossing his legs. He smiled then. "Criss-cross applesauce~"

"Ouch," Jay chuckled. "Those are my legs, just so you know."

Jay shook his head, chuckling. He placed a hand on Nicole's cheek and kissed her lips lightly, as if he were trying to keep from breaking Nicole.
