Huff. Huff. Huff. Huff.
Jessica was running for all she was worth. Her brother, Zack, was a few feet behind her. Due to Jessica being a small, more agile animal, she was much more faster than her little brother's creatu form, a berrok. Jessica had been shot by the hunter in her back leg. It hurt, but she tucked the leg into her body, and kept on running.
Zack was beginning to get worried for his big sister, so he ran up behind her, stuck his snout underneath her, and flipped her onto his back. He didn't want her injury to get any more serious than it already was. The bullet was still stuck in there, and he knew it was painful for Jessica to move.
"Zack! What do you think you're doing?!" Jessica yelled, not happy that her little brother was more capable than she was at the moment.
"Helping, Fox. Get over it." Zack ran until he couldn't smell the hunter's scent any more. He then sat down at the edge of a cliff, and set his sister on the ground.
Jessica huffed, still miffed about what happened.
Zack walked over to their clothes stash, which was hidden in the trunk of a tree. He could smell human scent, but it didn't phase him. People hadn't gone to this campsite in years. He walked back over to Jessica, and placed some clothes, which had been in his mouth, beside her.
Jessica sighed and got up. She had gotten over being phased by nakedness, so she shifted back into human form right there, and put the clothes on. Her brother did the same. Of course, they didn't look at eachother.
Jessica looked at the clothes that she was wearing: a red tank top, something that she hardly ever wore, and a pair of ripped jean shorts.
Zack was wearing a t-shirt that had a few holes in it, and a pair of acid-washed straight-leg jeans.
"That's a nasty wound you got there," Zack said, frowning.
"Yeah. Yeah. It's nothing I can't handle." Jessica looked down at her wound. It was in her thigh, about six inches above her knee.
"You're gonna need medical help to get that from getting infected."
"Where in the hell are we going to find medical help?!"
"I dunno. The city-"
"There is no way I'm going back to the city. That place is full of the stupid humans."
"Well maybe one of our friends from the lab can help."
