She smiled. Lauren wanted to compliment him and his judgement, so she stood her ground. "Nope I dont think so mister. You were the one who knew exactly what to order." She hoped he wouldn't redirect her compliment again.

Avery smiled. "Ok. Let's go get you an apron." She started walking towards the kitchen. "So my mum is going to start you off with the same pay I started off with. You get $10 an hour and overtime work is $30 an hour. If you do well in the first few months, she will up your pay to what I'm being paid now. I get paid $20 an hour. And my overtime is $45 an hour. You work every night, 7 to close. Close Monday to Thursday is 10. Close Friday to Sunday is 11. Are you getting all that?" She tosseed him an apron.

Jason gave in. "Ok. If you say so," he said and laughed lightly. He searched for courage for a moment. When he found it, he looked up at her and put down his fork. "um... Lauren... I was wondering... Would you like to go to the school dance with me... as my date?" He awaited her response.

Lauren couldn't believe he had asked her. She didn't think he had liked her in that way. Excitement shot through her like lightning and all of her doubts went away. She broke out into an uncontrollable smile and nodded. "Yes! Absolutely! Of course" |

Jason smiled too. He didn't think she would have said yes. He suddenly felt bold, so he kissed her on the cheek. "I so glad you said yes."

Laurens cheeks turned red and she smiled. She felt so girly and fragile now. She knew for sure that Jason liked her back. "I'm so glad you asked me!" ((It's only 10ish here. xD G'nite alice. Talk to ya tommorow))

He nervously caught the apron trying to keep all the information she had quickly told him. "Oh uhm alright." He smiled warmly. He actually hadnt heard a word besides 10 dollars an hour, which he thought was an extremely good amount of start off pay. He was all ready to work.

Avery smiled. "It will all make sense when you get a paycheck. So today you will just be following me around and helping out on my tables. Alright? It's simple. You take orders and then give them to either my mom or Sue. The make the food, and we bring it to the table that requested it. We also seat people when the lines get long. The hostess can only seat so many people at the same time. Got all that?" Jason looked down at the almost finished dinner between them. "Should we start thinking about desert?" He smiled brightly at her. |

Lauren was very nervous, Gathering all her courage and taking a deep breath she leaned over to him and gave him a shy kiss. "That's what I want for dessert."

Jason called Avery over. He barely noticed the new guy that was standing with her when he called to her. Avery came to the table, smiling as always. "Are we ready for dessert?" J*censored*on shook his head no. "Actually, we are quite full. Could we just have the check?" Avery nooded. "Sure. I will be right back with the check." Avery went and got the check, then came back. "Here you go!" Jason took the check and put out enough cash to cover the food and tip his best friend. "Alright. I will see you tomorrow, Ave." Then Jason got up from the table and awaitedLauren to get up too. |
