Avery smiled as they locked eyes. When he walked away, she became discouraged. He didn't like her, at least not anymore. She gave the meals to the couple then went and sat in a booth in the back. She rested her head on her arms. She wanted to go home, but knew she had a while before her shift ended.

(Lol can we just fastforward time. There aint nothing to do here anymore.) Kione grabbed his apron and tied it on as he was walking out of the back room. He looked around for Avery, and saw her with her head down in the back booth and he immediately felt horrible. He walked to the back and sat in the booth next to her, and tugged on her hair teasingly. "Hey. . ." |

Avery looked up at him. She put her signature smile back on her face. He didn't need to know what she was feeling. "Hey!" She scooted over in the booth. "How was your walk?"

"Uh fine. So are we just going to ignore the highly dangerous weapon that fell from my waist?" He said looking at her. He could see that her smile was plastic. It didnt have the genuine joy that it had when they first saw each other.

She looked around nervously. "Can we just talk about that when we get home? Our shift ends in a half hour." She let the smile fall from her face. She could tell he saw right through it.

"Ok" he said gently as he fixed one of her hairs that was out of place. "Your really beautiful, you know that?" He said smiling.

Avery smiled at his comment, this time for real. "Thank you." She suddenly remembered the couple at the table she was supposed to be waiting on. "Crap. We gotta get back to work." She got up and headed over to the table. "So how are things? Are we ready for dessert?" The couple ordered dessert and she hbrought there order to the kitchen. The whole time, she was thinking about Kione's compliment.

Kione continued to help her around the restaurant until it was very near closing time. He really liked working around her. And Miss Lisa was very nice as well. He talked to Avery as they walked around. "So i really beleive i owe you an explanation for earlier, when can i explain?"

Avery kept working. She figured the more she worked, the faster time would go by. She enjoyed having Kione working with her. And her mom actually liked Kione too. "You can explain it to me when we get home. I will change and then meet you at your place," she answered as they walked from table to table.

"I need to enroll in a highschool around here, very soon." I've already been out of school for so long, if i prolong it any more they might lose my records and i might have to start as a freshman. He smiled nervously at Avery.

"Why wouldn't you be?" She regretted the question as soon as she asked it. She should have saved it for home. As the clock hit 10, Avery hung up her apron. She locked up the doors, since her mom had left early. Then, she headed out to her car. "Do you have a car, or do you need a lift home?"

Kione over looked the question. He felt he could talk to her about it later. He helped her lock the doors and put his apron up. "Uh I dont know where you live, if i did otherwise i'd walk but. . . i guess i do."

She pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards her house. "Just 5 blocks away." She drove a bit on the faster side. She was eager to get answers from him.
