Grace wished she could just roll with it. However, she didn't have the best social skills in the world. In fact, most of the time when she meets someone new, either she stays quiet and doesn't look at them and they think that she's ignoring them or she would come off really cold and her grey eyes don't exactly make her seem warm and inviting. She looked at Victor and suddenly noticed that he was different from all of the guys that used to tease her. He was nice.

Avery and Jason walked into the cafeteria. Each held a take out bag from Avery's mother's restaurant. Avery's mother owned Olimora's. It was a quaint little Italian restaurant. Avery couldn't wait to reach a table so she could teat her mother's famous dish: Sformato di riso dolce. Jason and Avery sat at a table and began pulling out their food. Jason and Avery had been best friends since they were in diapers. Jason's mother and Avery's mother had been best friends since grade school, so naturally, their children grew up around each other. Now, Susan Maceachern worked for Lisa LaFrance. Together, the two mothers rocked the Italian food business, just like Avery and Jason rocked their old school. But now that Olimora's moved to a new location, the duo had to start all over in a new school.It was hard, and so far they had no friends. |

Avery, being the bubbly one, greeted the friendly face. "Hello! I'm Avery, and my shy friend here is Jason! We just moved here. My mother's business just opened up a new restaurant here, and his mother works for my mum." Avery held out her hand to the other girl to shake her hand. Jason smiled at Lauren, but didn't say anything. He wasn't good with new people. Especially not girls. He had a really bad problem with talking to girls. He was always way too nervous around them, and he almost always ended up saying something stupid. |

Avery beamed at Lauren. "Isn't it?! My mother is an amazingh Italian chef. Being born in Italy and all, she knows how to give her food just the right touch!" Avery chattered excitedly at Lauren. "Her restaurant is Olimora's. It's just a block from the school." Jason smiled at Lauren. He saw an opportunity to actually make a good move for once. "Why don't we all go there after school for a bite to eat?" He chimed in to the conversation. Avery turned her head and looked at Jason, confused. She had never heard him say something normal and actually good in front of a girl before. |

Lauren couldn't help but smile, the food was really good! Plus... New boy REALLLY was cute! She nodded excitedly "That sounds great actually! Thanks Jason!" She tossed a strand of hair from her face and tried not to blush
