Avery glanced back and forth between the two. Clearly they liked eachother, but this afternoon's shift was Jason's. She then realized that she needed to help her best friend out a bit. "Yeah, Jase. I sounds great for all of us to go for a bite to eat after school, but today you have to work at Oli's. Since it was your idea though, I will take your shift this afternoon. You just get that bite to eat with Lauren." Avery smiled at her cleverness. Working two shifts tonight wouldn't be that bad for her if she was doing it so that Jason could finally succeed at getting his first date.

Jason looked at Avery. "Oh yeah! I have shift! Um.. Ave, I will cover both shifts tomorrow, since you are covering both tonight. Thanks!" Jason then gazed back at Lauren. "So where shall we meet after school?"

"Perfect! I will see you there after school." Jason smiled back at Lauren.

The bell rang, and Avery bounced out of her seat. She nudged Jason out of his trance over Lauren. "Come on, lover boy," She muttered so that only Jason heard her. "Nice to meet you Lauren!" Then, Avery headed out of the cafeteria. 

Jason, who was usually right behind Avery, lingered for a minute. "So, I will see you later, Lauren." Then, he smiled and waved. Reluctantly, he turned and strolled to cl*censored*.

Lauren waved "Bye guys see you after school!" Then she sighed dreamily to herself, thinking about Jason. she couldn't wait to see him after school and share a meal together. Picking her her books she skipped happily to her next clas.s

As the final bell rang. Avery slipped out of her last cl*censored*. She hurried out to her car. She had work to get to. She pullled out her cell phone and dialed her mothers number. "Hey mum! I'm coming down to the restaurant now... I know... It is his shift, but today I'm doing both shifts... I know... My homework will get done... He met a girl... Yes mum. His first date... I had to let him have it... ok. see you soon... love you too." Avery hung up the phone and glanced over at the big tree to see Jason standing there. "Good luck buddy," she whispered even though she was way to far away for him to hear her. Then she got into her car and took off for the restaurant.

Jason leaned against the tree, waiting for Lauren. He was really nervous. A girl had never actually said yes to him before. They always saw him as 'just a friend'. Jason figetted with his keys a bit.

Jason tried to seem cool, but he was really just nervous. "Hey, Lauren. You ready to head over to Oli's?" He gestured smoothly to his car. He was beginning to surprise himself with how nonchalant he was being.

Avery reached her mother's restaurant and parked in the employee lot. Quickly, she left her car and headed in the door, hitting the lock button for her car on her way inside Olimora's. She went and grabbed her apron from her mother's office and went to start waiting on tables.

Victor just so happened to be at the mall as well. Looking around he saw Grace. Or he thought he did. Gathering up some courage he called over towards the familiar girl. "Grace? Is that you?"

 Lauren looked in the direction he was gesturing. There she saw a nice little car, then smiled widely and nodded. She decided on her game plan: Try not to seem overeager but trying to drop a hint. "Yeah definately! I can't wait to get to know you a bit better." She said with a slightly flirty tone as she flipped her hair from her face ((home from school ^.^))

He smiled at her "Very small! You want me to go knock some sense into those guys that are bugging you? They have no right wat so ever to tease you like that." He hated when males picked on others for no reason. It was a pet peeve of his.

She smiled and got into his car and clicked on her seatbelt. Looking around she noticed a few things. He was organized, nothing seemed out of place. He had a nice taste in style, and he didn't soupe up his car like other guys did. Lauren hated it when guys did that. "Nice car Jason. I like your style!"

"Nah just chillin really, kinda exploring the new turf." He laughed and ruffled his spikey hair. "Maybe we can explore it together? Ya know hit two birds with one stone?" Then he laughed again, this time at himself. Thinking mentally, I am such a dork.

"There's finally a guy in town who doesn't mess with his car untill it looks absolutely ridiculous." She laughed softly and twirled a strand of her hair around her finger. "I like it actually."

Grace smiled and laughed. "You lead me. I'm the nervous one, remember?" She waited for him to walk, then blushed at what was going on.
