Kione noticed the girl who just walked in to the restaurant with a pleasant disposition about her. He decided to greet her and offer her a seat at his table. He needed to meet people if he was going to make this town his new home, and besides he has alot of questions about this town.

Avery came out of the kitchen with both her mother and a meal for Jason. "Over there mom. I will meet you in a sec." Avery's mom headed over to Kione while Avery headed to Jason's table. "Here. Eat up!" Avery placed the plate on the table. Jason handed Lauren a fork. "Try it." Jason watched her, awaiting her reaction to the food. Lisa LaFrancesmiled at the young man. "Hello! I'm Lisa LaFrance, the owner. My daughter told me you had questions about a job and living space?" |

Lauren took the fork from him and smiled then took a bit. The flavors of the food tingled on her tongue. She swallowed it and looked at Jason. She couldn't believe that food could taste that good! "You know your food!!"

Kione looked away from the girl at the front of the restaurant and turned to the woman. "Oh yes hello my name is Kione." He stuck his hand out to shake. " I just found my way to this town and i dont have much money, but your daughter told me you had a vacant area above the garage in your house and i was wondering if you were interested in renting it to me, and i was also wondering if you were hiring?"

Grace smiled warmly at Kione and sat down on the chair opposite of him. "Do I know you?" Normally people wouldn't offer seats to strangers, but maybe this guy was just nice. Then, she noticed the older woman come up to their table. She must have been the owner.

The woman seemed busy so he decided to converse with the young lady he invited to his table. "No but i am interested in getting to know you. My name is Kione, I just uh. . . moved here, sort of. i"m looking for a place to stay, hopefully this nice lady has a place open for me to reside for awhile."

"Ah, I'm sort of new too, but my parents just moved in a few streets over. That big house with the huge oak tree in the front yard and the gray roof. Oh, my name's Grace. That's a very unusual name... Kione. Well, it's alot better than Bill, my dad's name." Grace laughed lightly. Kione wasn't all that bad looking, but she didn't want to get too involved. He looked like he was too old for her.

He chuckled,"Ha well i'm basically on my own now." He sipped his water. "So is there a high school around here? I need to enroll and finish." She reminded him of someone from his past, she had a warm aura about her and he felt very comfortable around her.

"Yep. It's a few streets down the mall which is down that way," Grace said pointing out of a window and up a street towards the mall. "It's really the best place for a school to be. What grade are you in? Junior, Senior year?"

"Uh. . Well. . I'm supposed to be a senior, but due to some events i dropped out, now i have to enroll as a junior." He looked down at the table embarressed. -She probably thinks your so stupid- he thought. He looked away from her and sipped his water.

"It happens." Grace gave him another smile. "I'm a freshman. I can't wait until I get my driver's liscense though. I can ride in a car instead of walking everywhere." Most people thought Grace was 16 due to the way that she acted. Mature, most of the time. She wasn't really hungry, so she just sat there, hoping to strike a conversation.

"Ah 15 huh? That's a great age." He cringed a little. He hoped she didnt notice. "Ha well once i enroll you'll be my only friend," He cheesed widely, "How do you feel about having to deal with me from now on?"

"You won't be a burden." Grace looked at him, a straight look on her face. She always had that look when she was being serious. Most people couldn't when she was being serious or not, so she came up with the whole 'straight face' thing to make sure that people knew.

Lisa smiled. "You can move in tonight after your shift. You start at 7 and work till close with Avery. Close is at 10. The rent is 600 a month. You rent will be due next month. Is that all ok?"

He was flushed. 600, how was he going to pay that. It looks like he was going to have to make a call to his so called father. He shook off the shocked look and smiled graciously. "Thank you that's more than fair." He turned to Grace. "Hey I'm going to go work now, i'll see you around school." She grinned at her. He then got up from the table to turned to Avery. "Ok put me to work," he said happily.
