“Your kitchen is upstairs, right?” Sunshine asked while grabbing her bag of extra buttery popcorn. “I’ll go put this in the microwave.” Jumping off the bed she pranced back up the stairs and took a right into another room, which looked like a dinning room that connected to the kitchen. Walking into the kitchen she found the microwave, I’m still good at finding things in the kitchen. Must have an extra sense for it or something, or my stomach has that much control over my brain. Putting the popcorn into the microwave, Sunshine tapped her foot while she waited and thought about Zane and Ryder. They look a like but have much different personalities. Hearing the ding that announced the popcorn was ready Sunshine grabbed the hot bag out and juggled it while opening a cupboard, hoping it would have large bowls and it did. Opening the bag, she dumped everything into the bowl and threw the bag into the trash, which was under the sink, and jogged back to Annika’s room.

"It's really good, I'm really glad we came here," Stephani informed him, softly. She ate slowly, like she did at lunch that day, glad the she could spend this time with Kyrian. "Mmm. " She let out uncontrollably. "Sorry," she told him, a tad embaras.sed.

“I bet I could make-“, stopping abruptly, Kyrian looked down at his plate with a blush as he stuffed his mouth. I can joke about those things with my guys in the locker room but not with a girl. Especially on a date, what was I thinking? Peeking up at her from under his lashes, without his hair to hide him he looked more guilty than innocent, and realized. I wasn’t thinking, this girl makes me so relaxed that my mouth opens with no filter. Clearing his throat out of nervous habit, he decided that he would have to watch himself a bit more. “I’m jealous that your food can make you happier than I can.” Kyrian teased and added with a wink, “But I guess it’s good that you like it.”

"Are you kidding me?" Stephani exclaimed, "I'm happier with you then I am with any meal," she added, laughing. Food was very good, but any boy was better. Stephani had always liked Kyrian, ever since they began school together.

Kyrian gave Stephani one of his special smirks, “Really?” Catching himself before he said something extremely inappropriate he thought, why do I have to think like a guy? Sigh he pushed his plate back and patted his belly, which he puffed out as if he was fat, “I’m stuffed like a turkey on Thanksgiving.” He loved to watch her eat, unlike most teens, she took her time eating and with small bites. So well mannered and she makes it look cute. I’m sure my mom would approve. “Take your time, I eat like a starved wolf.”

"Of course, food doesn't talk and make jokes, does it?" she asked, taking another small bite of her burger. She smiled, "That's fine with me, I eat like an old person, very slowly." She took another bite, followed by another. "Alright, I'm finished," she informed him, looking at her plate.

He laughed when she made her own joke about food possibly talking, “Am I rubbing off on you?” Kyrian gave her a look of pure joy, “its working!” He clapped happily until someone from another table gave him a deathly glare which he only beamed back. Waving down the waiter he asked for the bill and said to Stephani, “Gotta give him a tip before they kick me out. I’m sure they’ll offer you ice cream but I’m ‘too loud’” he did air quotations. I hope her parents don’t blame me when she teases and jokes at everything they say. When the waiter returned, Kyrian couldn’t help himself as he place a generous tip on the table, he got up he whispered loud enough for Stephani to hear, “You just looked so handsome tonight.” Taking Stephani’s hand he walked her out of the restaurant and as soon as they were out the doors they burst into laughter. “His face was the best!” Kyrian exclaimed, “The days we have away meets we always eat out afterward and the guys made this tradition that we have to pretend to hit on the waiter. But this guy was the best; he just looked at you and was like ‘A little help here!’ It was priceless.”

"You guys are so silly," Stephani said, gripping his hand. "All of the cheer team heads to a restaurant and stuffs their faces," she told him, she needed to say some other things, he was doing all of the talking. "We can get some dessert if you want, I think there is a place here."

Kyrian nodded and lifted their joined hands pointing in no real direction, "Lead the way!" I love to have sweets, so if she can show me a new store I'll be her puppy for life. "I can always find room for some sweets." he teased in a charming voice.

Sunshine looked up at Annika's mom and was once again shocked by how much they looked alike. I wonder if my mother would love me more if I was a replica of her as well. Coming in to check on me and my friends, giving me hugs...Glancing at Annika, Sunshine replied, "Getting ready to watch a scary movie." Peeking up at her she asked quietly, "Is that ok? I mean we can go get a different movie..." I feel weird, like I don't even know how to talk to a mom.

Stephani nodded, giving Kyrian a quick smile. "Right this way," she gestured him to follow her. Stephani padded through the mall, looking for her sister's favorite place to get some sweets. "Something Sweet," she said aloud, walking toward the sweet shop.

Walking into the little shop, Kyrian looked around and noted all the sweets. I don't think I've ever seen some much candy in my life. Giving her hand a quick squeeze before he let go and ran over to the snickers. Pointing at them, Kyrian waved her over. "We need to buy all of them!" he ordered with a charming whisper. "I love snickers and twix. Not too much chocolate and they have carmel!" Taking his drooling stare off the snickers, Kyrian asked, "What are your weaknesses?"

Sunshine almost felt sad when Therese left, almost. I won't fawn over someone elses mother. Settling down by Annika, Sunshine huddled in her maroon fleece blanket and giggled. "I haven't had a sleep over in years!" Closing her eyes and raising her arms, Sunshine said, "Thank you Lord our God!" Most would think she was being rude, or even crude, but Sunshine was completely serious. This is a blessing and I'm going to enjoy all of it Lord, and I will thank you until the end of my days. As the opening credits rolled across the screen, Sunshine whispered, "How close are you and Ryder?"

"I like those as well," Stephani stated, her gaze fixed on the Reeses, "but I like these peanut butter cups better," she said, satisfied. "I'll take four," she told the clerk. The clerk nodded, scooping Stephani four Reeses cups. "And you?" the clerk asked Kyrian.
