Sunshine flush a rosey-pink, she was glad the lights were off, “No real reason.” I only have a crush on a guy that I just met is all. Giggling at herself, Sunshine stuffed her mouth with popcorn and tried, really tried, to watch the movie. When she finally got comfortable, sprawled out like a lazy lion, Sunshine poked Annika with her toe. “Do you like anyone? At school or anywhere else?” Gheez girl, you never think about guys and now you can’t even enjoy a movie because of one! Hoping that Annika wouldn’t mind, Sunshine promoted, “I think Zane’s kinda cute.” Kyrian acted like it was shear torture trying to decide if he wanted Snickers or Twix. Finally grabbing about eight pieces of Twix, he said, “I’d like these, please.” Pulling out his wallet, Kyrian swatted at Stephani’s hand. “Now, now! I’ll be paying for these.” Kyrian scolded, “A gentleman should pay for all food when on a date. No matter how small or cheap.” Paying for the candies, Kyrian grabbed the bag the cashier handed him with a thank you. Grabbing Stephani’s hand, Kyrian checked his watch. “Oh, buddy! We gotta go!” He looked at her with shock, “The movie will start in about six minutes!” Time sure does fly when I’m with her. Pulling her into a jog, Kyrian made them run all the way to the movie theater. Which was across the mall, he also gave the pre-ordered tickets the ticket boy and they walked in. “Nothing like a jog to make you appreciate the seats, huh?” Letting Stephani choose where they should sit, though being so late to a popular movie there wasn’t many options, but they got good seats in the end. When the opening previews came on, Kyrian acted like he was going to give Stephani her peanut butter cups but pulled them back short when she reached for them. I’m glad we go seats in the middle back, he thought. “Don’t I get a reward for carrying them all the way here?” he asked with a little boy smile.

"Really?" Annika asked then giggled, "Me too." Stretching out she ended up whacking her head on the armchair. "Oww" she whimpered. Complaining she added, "I am honestly, soo clumsy sopmetimes that its not even funny"

Stephani flashed Kyrian a quick smile, nodding slightly. She kissed his cheek, quickly and meaningfully. "Of course you do," she pointed out, giggling. "You're pretty quick when it comes to getting to places in as little time as possible," she commented, still smiling. "Now. Let's sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!"

Sunshine laughed, giving Annika a look. "Well, at least you look cute when you're clumsy. I end up breaking stuff." And I could still die of embarra.ssment from the time in the library. When Annika looked at her like she was kidding, Sunshine told her. “This one time I was putting books away in the library, I work there on the weekends some times. But anyway, this guy comes up to her and asked me where to find this book. I showed him the way and asked if he needed anything else. As I was turning to leave I ran into this other guy, who had a huge stack of books, and we fell over onto the guy I just help and it was horrible! Books went flying and I was squashed between the two, and I was wearing a skirt!” Flailing her arms around Sunshine acted like she was falling all over again. “My coworkers still tease me about my ‘frilly undies’. So you know what, I would rather bonk my head then fall on some random person.” I haven’t even told Kyrian about this, why did I suddenly tell her? Sitting criss-cross-applesauce, Sunshine gave Annika her best puppy dog pout. I hope she doesn’t think I’m some weirdo. Kyrian sat there for a good thirty seconds before he could respond. Did she just kiss me? On the cheek? Shuffling the bag around, Kyrian handed the candy to her. When their hands brushed against each other, Kyrian blushed. “I hope you enjoy them.” He said, “And yes ma’am; I will sit back, relax and enjoy the show.” While he thought, I can sit back but I can’t relax. Fighting the urge to press his hand to where she had pecked his cheek, which still tingled from her soft lips, Kyrian fiddled with the plastic bag. I don’t think I can watch the movie either. Taking a deep breath, Kyrian looked at Stephani and barely contended his sigh. Turning back to the screen, Kyrian barely watch the opening credits because his eyes kept straying to the girl beside him.

((Ca, sure.)) Sunshine looked at Annika, "Oh! You have to tell me!" I really hope that she tells me the story. I mean I told her one of my most embara.ssing ones. Thinking back to her times with Kyrian, Sunshine changed her mind. I don't think anyone should ever know about the things our parents did to us. Shivering at the rememberance of Kyrian dressing as a girl sailor and Sunshine dressing a boy. Yup, Kyrian and I most defenitly have our truce pictures.

As the credits began to roll, Stephani took a deep breath, followed by a quiet exhale. "That was a long movie," she pointed out, turning to Kyrian, "but it was good," she added with a smile. Stephani yawned, taking a quick glance at her watch, it was almost midnight, Cory would be worried about her.

Watching Stephani try to stifle a yawn, Kyrian said, "We should head home." Glancing around he noted that most of the theater was empty. I'm sure glad that it's the weekend; I would most likely sleep during cla.ss if it was a school night. Grabbing the leftover popcorn and leading the way out of the movie theater, Kyrian agreed. "That is the best movie I've ever seen." He continued as they walked out into the parking lot, "The graphics were the greatest part." If I could be 10 feet tall and blue with a tail, I would sign up for the next genetic mutation experiment. "Would you ever be brave enough to try something like that?" He asked, "If we had the technology." Opening the door of his mustang for her, Kyrian quietly shut it behind her. He never did like people who slammed doors. Sitting in the driver’s seat, Kyrian stopped to just sit for a minute. Her scent is wonderful. Not that she hadn’t showered, but the smell that would never leaves a person, the aroma that makes each person unique because it's part of who they are. Some say a person’s scent is enough to make or break a marriage.

Annika laughed and nodded, her face flushing pink, "Ok. I was back in Germany, this was about a year ago. I was at the Coffee House Der Hohle, The Cave, in English and by friend Stella was there with me and there was this hot waiter guy named Adam. There were the floor tables that ypou see at sushi restaurants but the tables wer close to the same wood as the floor. Stella dared me to goflirt with him a little, so I did. Or rather I tried. I walked over to him, confident and cocky, looking good in my new jeans and heels. Until I fell, I tripped over the table hit my head on it , when I got back up I practicly p*censored*ed out on top of him." Blushing heavily she added, "It was seriously embarrasing."

Sunshine started at Annika for a minute before laughing, “I’m sorry but it’s so funny because I can see you doing that!” Blushing slightly, but with her fair skin it turned a tomato-red anyway, Sunshine looked sheepishly at Annika. “Nika, you aren’t mad are you?” she asked, “I didn’t mean to laugh that hard.” Nice Sunshine, ruin another friendship because of your big mouth. Though she could help it, Annika seemed like the confidante ‘I’ll do any dare’ type. Now that she actually knew her, Sunshine really appreciated this friendship. She’s the first person to not call me ‘viper tongue or acid mouth. That was her own fault though. Sunshine always took things too seriously with her plastic friends and ended up becoming defensive. Looking up at Annika from under her eyelashes Sunshine gave her the best, I’m sorry, look ever.

Sunshine beamed at Annika, “Foreign languages.” She felt a shiver climb up her spin. I always look forward to learning new ones. “At the moment I can speak fluent Spanish, and English.” She stated proudly, “But as you know, I’m not doing so hot in German, though with your help I’ll get the hang of it.” All her life Sunshine wanted to learn the different languages and cultures, hoping that one day she would find one that she could call her own. Sunshine had never felt like she belonged in America but being born here she felt a need to protect it too. Sighing at her inter turmoil that had started in third grade, Sunshine looked at Annika. But maybe with Annika, I’ll be able to make roots here and feel at home.

"Five years?" Sunshine asked with awe in her voice, "Wow. I can barely say anything and I've had it for nearly a semester." Looking down at her blanket Sushine smiled. "Though Spanish is amazing for me. I speak it better than my teacher."
