"That's still pretty ccool." Annika giggled, her eyelids kind of drooping, "I am probably better than our German teacher. Although I haven't met the on at Miller yet."

"I probably speak German better than my teacher." Annika shrugged, "But then, I've never met him." She looked intensly at Sunshine, "I missed it because of what happened today."

Sunshine felt sleep pulling at her. But I don’t want to sleep, she thought. This has been the greatest night of my life. Nodding when Annika said that she most likely spoke the language better than her teacher as well, Sunshine wasn’t at all surprised. “I’m here for you to talk to if that what you want.” She supplied sweetly. I hope that I can always be there for Nika; she’s such a caring person herself that she needs someone to take care of her. She didn’t promise herself to be there every time because that’s how friendships are wrecked. A promise meant to bind them together forever will innocently choke them. We are only human.

Annika nodded, hot tears fomring in her eyes, thetening to spill out. "My father was abusive," was all she got out before the tears overwhemled her.

Sunshine had heard this before but like every other time it hit her hard, an unexpected slap across the face. I adore my father and I look to marry a man much like him. He supports my hobbies, defends my mistakes and shows me love in every little move or word that he says. Every person is different, so Sunshine approached slowly. Sitting closer to Annika, Sunshine opened her arms. Not knowing if she would want the hug or not. “I’m here for you,” she murmured, “Tell me anything or nothing.”

Sunshine shifted around uneasily. Does she want to talk or should we move on to a steadier topic? Thinking it was more the later, Sunshine asked, “Would you go out with Ryder? Or is that not the type of relationship you have with him?” Why can’t I get him out of my head! I was so mean to him too…I just can’t help it. I need a guy who understands my moods, who will tease me when I snap at him. Come on Sunshine, like there’s a guy like that out there.

Annika laughed when Sunshine asked about Ryder, "Definetly not. He's nice and hr turned out pretty good looking, but he has been one of my best friends since I was littl and plus, I think he likes yyou."

Sunshine felt pearl white cheeks flare pink at the comment. Then she wrinkled her nose and did a very unladylike snort, replying, “Yeah, right. No guy would want to deal with me.” I become so rude when I’m around a guy, I get a sharp tongue that only hurts others but defends myself, and then I physically cringe away from them. Why do I do that? Why can’t I be more normal? “Well, my love life isn’t going to happen until the future,” at this rate never, “So forget I said anything. I think we need some such eye. The movie just ended.” With a yawn she added full heartedly, “That’s for hanging out with me. I’m having the best night ever.” Adding a small grin, Sunshine didn’t smile too often, she hugged Annika again.
