Hearing the bell ring Annika felt koyous. One more clas.s then to the Cafe with Shine. Her last cals.s had turned out to be Christian Ethics with Deacon Lang. Yay! I have always loved Christian Ethics, and from what I hear this guy is great! She walked off to the clas.sroom

Kyrian had never been more relieved in his life, cla.ss is finally over! Now I can leave. Being a senior, he had all his necessary credits so he scheduled it so that he didn’t have the last period of the day. Leisurely he walked over to his locker and placed his books in, before grabbing his biology book. Shutting with a bit of force he whispered, “Oops.” To no one in particular, don’t know my own strength anymore. Must be all that *pull I’ve been doing. Doing his lope down the hall, because walking just doesn’t do him justice, he brushed past some old football pals. Finally he got to his car, my sweet baby, he thought. Throwing his book bag into the back he slid into the diver seat and cranked the music. Star Struck by 30H3 with Katy Perry, he loved this song for some reason. It’s a bit offensive to both genders, being that it’s saying guys like curvy girls while girls like to be teases to guys. But the tune is just so catchy. Leaning back in his seat, Kyrian enjoyed his smooth ride. Nothing could be better, well unless I had a cute girl sitting next to me.

((*Pull is when you're swimming without using your arms, often there is a bowie to keep your legs from sinking.))

Sunshine found that she had no patience for her next cla.ss. I really can’t wait to hang out with her can I? While she was thinking too had, Sunshine nearly barreled into Zane. Glaring up at him she was about to spit fire when he said, “Hey now! I’m the one who was going to get trampled.” Holding his hands up in the universal “I’m innocent” thing, Sunshine thought, with how tall you are that doesn’t help. What is he? Like about 6’8’’ or part giant. Rolling her eyes, Sunshine said, “Well at least I stopped.” Turning away she headed for her last cla.ss, sort of happy that the near collision happened. Maybe Annika and I can have a sleep over. To talk about hot guy, she glanced back a Zane’s retreating back, paint nails, and all that other stuff. For the first time in her life she actually thought her own name suited her.

"Why can't today be tomorrow?" Stephani asked herself, padding to drama clas.s. Every other day of the week, Stephani only had three clas.ses. "At least it's drama," she told herself, entering the small drama room. "Good afternoon," her teacher, Ms. Heald greeted her. "Hey," Stephani said casually. She took her usual seat, the one in the back of the room.

Sitting in what was a highly entertaining cl*censored*, Annika couldn't help but think about hanging out with Shine. This will be my first time getting to go out since I lived in *Meissen*. She sould hardly wait for the bell to ring.

**Meissen is a small town in Germany where my great grandma was born.

A good ten minutes after the bell rang, Zane walked into drama. The teacher, Ms. Heald, shot him a look that could kill while saying, “If it isn’t a drama King, if there ever was one.” Zane gave her a uninterested look but played along by giving a sweeping bow, “At your service madam, what fine peasant problems would you like solved?” Flustered Ms. Heald pointed to a chair by the piano, “Sit and be quiet if you can’t be productive Mr. Morgan.” Giving her one of his renowned smirks, Zane walked to the back of the cla.ss. Way to go, make her mad like this everyday and she might send you to the principal like all the other teachers do. Instantly bored, Zane looked at the piano and grinned slightly. I bet she would sit like a good dog too if she knew I could play piano. But it’s not like I’m going to tell her or anything.

After answering some questions and hearing some interesting stories the bell rang. Annika grabed her stuff and booked it out of the clas.sroom. Running as fast as she could she put her Christian Ethics stuff in her locker and grabbed her math book. Coffee, talk time, thean a boring night of homework. She shrugged, At least tomorrow's Friday.

Stephani sighed at the sight of Zane, this was her only mixed grade clas.s. "Way to come to clas.s," she hissed at him, rolling her blue eyes. "Next time, come on time!" she added, angrily. She stared at the piano, like she did everyday. I wish she'd let me play... Stephani told herself, somewhat groaning. It was Ms. Heald's treasured piano, from what Stephani heard it was given to her after her father died. She had never heard Ms. Heald actually play it before, but resisted to ask her if she'd let her play it.

When the bell rang Sunshine’s inner-self said, run! Trample all of these dumb pedestrians! Who cares anyway! But she controlled herself, as she walked casually down the hall. That is until she saw Annika, smilingly like a five year old on Christmas, Sunshine jogged over to her. Then suddenly it donned on her, we have to walk because I left my car at home. Glancing over Annika’s shoulder, so she wouldn’t have to look her in the eyes, Sunshine told her, “Um about today. I left my car at home so we have to walk. Is that ok?” Sparing a glance at Annika, Sunshine was relieved to not see any malice, when her cell phone vibrated. Jumping in shock, Sunshine squeaked in surprise. No one calls me. Asking Annika to hold for a minute, she answered, “Hello?”

Scowling when she heard her brother say, “No goodbye." Quite sarcastically, "of course someone would be on the other line Sol. I was just wondering if you wanted a ride home, since you kinda forgot your car.”

Sunshine was about to say no when she thought better of it and asked, “Can I have a friend come along?”

There was a grand pause before Sunshine wanted to rip her brother’s face off, “You have a friend? When? Who? Wait forget that, I’ll be out front in two.”

Hanging up instantly before Sunshine could say anything else, she stared at Annika. “I just got a ride from my brother. He’ll take us to my house where I can get my car, and then we’ll be on our way. You ok with that?” she half asked, half stated.

Zane gave Stephani a once over and asked, “Who put a stick up your butt? I haven’t done anything to deserve you being angry at me.” Women and their mood swings are so frustrating. I don’t do anything to them but suddenly I’m their pushover toy. Sighing heavily he looked at her again and saw a look of seer wanting, wondering what she was looking at he followed her gaze to see the piano. Now that’s a look I can relate to. That piano would be absolute heaven on any set of fingers. “Do you play?” he asked, already knowing she does because of the way her hands were tapping her legs while her foot was beating a perfect tempo.

Stephani looked at him in front of the piano. "I do," she said simply. She'd been playing the piano since she turned four, by ear.  She ignored his rude comments, junior boys could be that way.

Zane smirked when Stephani gave him a cold reply. See what happens when you try to be nice? It’s not worth your time. About to ask her how long, Zane never got the chance when the ending bell rang. Closing his eyes and rubbing his temples slightly to lighten his headache, he got up to leave. Walking away from the piano he noted that no one was in the room, it’s the last cla.ss of the day no one will come back and see you. Turning around he sat down on the bench, taking his time, Zane marveled over the mahogany woodwork. That must be old maple and hornbeam. Running his fingers across the keys he didn’t press hard enough to make a sound, but just enough for him to count them. My silly routine will forever be engrained into me. When he finally started to play the headache that had caused him to be late vanished, as did the nearly permanent wrinkles between his brows from scowling often, he played Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. I can still remember practicing this to death.

Stephani was halfway down the hall until she heard something, Ms. Heald's piano. Somewhat alarmed, she swiftly walked back to the room, cheer started in an hour-and-a-half. She let herself inside, hoping to see her teacher sitting at the piano. Stephani gasped, it wasn't Ms. Heald playing the piano, but Zane. "What are you doing?" she inquired, staring directly at him, "if Ms. Heald catches you, you're screwed!"

"Umm, yeah sure" Annika mumbled. "Doesn't bother me, you doing anything this weekend?" she asked nevoursly. Brightening up a little she asked, "Do you take German?"

Zane went ram-rod straight, but then he realized that it was only Stephani. That was a bit close. “Well I couldn’t have said it any better myself.” He stated sarcastically and added, “Why don’t you close that door before she sees and we both get in trouble.” Sliding the cover back over the keys he got up and grabbed his bag. Seeing a cheer jacket on the chair Stephani was using earlier he asked, “Did you come back for this?” Picking it up Zane brought it over to her.

Sunshine felt a glimmer of hope grow in her tummy; would she really invite me to a sleep over or party? Not bothering to guard how excited she was, Sunshine said, “No. Do you want to do something?” This is crazy! I just met her today and I feel like we’re friends, not just friends but best friends. As in BFF’s. Smiling at Annika as they walked out the door, Sunshine pouted when she saw that her brother was already waiting. Now he’s going to get her because of his “charming” personality. Wanting to make a lasting impression Sunshine said, "I'm taking German 1. I have it 3rd period and I swear that the teacher speaks French."

((Poor Sunny,))

Annika said, "Yeah, what about a sleepover?" Yes, we have  the same German teacher, but different times. "If you ever have trouble with German just ask, it's my second language, Croatian  being my first and English, I've been speaking almost as long as Croatian, but more recently trying to remember long words" she shrugged, "I just remember words well. So languages are easy for me"

Sunshine held her hands together, like she was about to pray, and said, “Thank you Lord, for you have sent me a wonderful savior. Who will help me keep my 4.0 grade point average, right?” Laughing by the end Sunshine hoped that Annika realized that it was sincere because she really didn’t understand German. Dump down in New Mexico, or Puerto Rico, and I’ll be one happy muchacha! But throw in into Germany and I’ll be doing the potty dance for a long while. Sliding into Kyrian’s car, Sunshine took the back so Annika could choice to either sit by her or in the front. She had been taught well that guests should always have options. “Don’t worry; Kiki is like a Saint Bernard, all bark with no bite.” Sunshine teased.

Kyrian growled at Sunshine in mock annoyance, “It’s Sol that you have to watch out for. A little Terrier, that’s what she is, all snotty and nippy.” He gave Annika a wicked grin as he said, “I wonder what you are, Golden Retriever or Shiba Inu?” I wonder if she minds me joking with her. I just don’t know how to be serious like Sunshine.
