OoC: Gah! I completely forgot his and Silentpaw's...again. I'll get down to that now, promise. I second Siri, Alice, your posts are amazing. And mouse-bile is a herb mixture that the medicine cat uses to put on ticks so they'll drop off. BiC: Licking her lips clean of her breakfast, Ambermyth tipped her head back to enjoy the warming rays of the sun. Not that she had anything against Leaf-bare, it was just way to cold for her personal liking. Basking for another minute of so, the small warrior opened her eyes as Starpaw walked back into camp, the same sad look across his face when ever some cat had looked down on him. And from who just left the camp, she had a pretty good idea who it was. When Fallenbane returns i'm going to claw his ears off. Poor Starpaw, he always gets yelled at for what he does not deserve. Getting to her paws about to go comfort her son, or so she liked to think of him, she stopped with one paw raised in mid-air as Nightrose spoke to him first. Blinking, she purred softly. If any cat could be kind to the way-ward apprentice it would be their gentle medicine cat. Glad when Starpaw seemed to perk up, Ambermyth decided that she was not needed anymore. Looking around for Hawksight instead, because the small cat wanted something to do with her paws, she figured a hunting patrol would be nice. But the deputy was calling for his apprentice, so all she could do was sigh in slight aggravation. "Can't a cat get anything to do around here?" She muttered, sinking her short but sharp claws into the cool ground. Hoping some other cat would like to patrol, she spotted Ravenfur and trotted over, tail high in the air. "Good morning Ravenfur." She meowed cheerily, probably in way to happy of a mood for this early in the morning, but she did not care. "Would you like to go on a hunting patrol?" She asked curiously, yet slightly shy considering she was a younger warrior. --- Starpaw looked into his mentors eyes, waiting to see annoyance in her gaze. Instead she seemed calm and if anything excited. His heart beat a little faster in relief, he'd not wanted to disappoint her on his first day of training. "I thought that today would be the perfect day for me to teach you how much to pick when gathering herbs, a few helpful spots to find certain things, and I want you to practice wrapping my paw in cob webs." Starpaw nodded quickly, fur starting to fluff up from delight. She actually wanted to teach him things, not toss him aside like his former mentor! "Of course!" He meowed happily, all his despair and sadness from earlier draining from his paw into the ground in mere seconds. "I'll do everything you say, promise." He added quickly, clear blue eyes shining. --- Silentpaw waited quietly and patiently for Firekit to pounce on him, and when her tiny paws clambered into his back, he fake grunted like she's actually done some damage. He knew he would get into some trouble for encouraging her, a kit, to do some things that she'd normally get into a lot of trouble for. But he'd never allow her to do something that could actually be dangerous or life-threatening. Unlike what some cats tended to think, he did have a heart. "Nightrose always worries, especially about you." He added, gently nudging her smaller shoulder with his nose. "Your a little terror." He joked. He could only ever seem to be himself around Starpaw or Firekit, because they seemed to understand him like none of the warrior could, or would. "Your lucky you did not come back a icicle." He added, lips twitching in amusement. "Next time thought, don't go down there alone, alright? At least come and get me so if you do decide to fall in I can get you." Rolling onto his side, he listened to her pleas to take her hunting, unsure on how to answer that. Not that his mentor was anywhere in sight, so he had nothing else to do or worry about for the moment. Looking over at the kit, he sighed. He always figured the reason he got along so well with this kit was that he figured this is what his sister would have turned out like. So he looked at Firekit as his little sibling. If he took her hunting, he'd be sure to stay as close to the camp as possible, and most importantly, out of sight. Gaining his paws under him, the apprentice stood up and shook his fur out. "Alright, alright. I'll take you on a hunting practice. But," He leaned down so he could look her in the eyes. "You do exactly as I say, alright?" Looking around, he noted that most of the cats were to busy doing their own thing to notice the two of them, and most were not even up yet. "Come on." He meowed, slinking into the shadows and and taking the quickest path through them to reach the entrance. Once on the outside of the camp he waited for Firekit. "Alright, come on."

OoC: Of course Det! Hawksight is looking for Poppypaw to train; Fallenbane left the camp for a lone patrol after Ambermyth chewed him out for not congratulating his son for becoming Medicine cat apprentice. Nightrose is talking to Starpaw about going to train as a medicine cat apprentice; Ambermyth is asking Ravenfur about going on a hunting patrol with her; and Silentpaw is breaking the warrior code and taking Firekit on a small hunting patrol right outside of camp. Firekit also left the camp a bit ago and went by herself down to a nearby creek. Thats about it.

Poppypaw yawned tiredly and gnawed on a stringy mouse, her eyelids drooping with each chewing motion her jaw made. It is far too early, she thought wearily, flattening her ears down against her head. Wondering where her mentor was the apprentice finished off her meagre meal leisurely, attempting to enjoy each bite. Sometimes…I just wish life in the Clan could be slower, more laid-back. A fallacious wish to be sure, but I can hope, no? Stretching out lazily the middling russet she-cat slowly climbed to her paws. Flicking her tail from side Poppypaw glanced around the clearing, searching for that tell-tale sign of her dark-pelted mentor. ~ Hissing with displeasure the fiery warrior arched her back and let her thorn-sharp claws drag in the dirt, creating deep furrows in the ground. The earth opened up like a fragrant flower spilling its scent, the black loam trickling out of the ruts. Sneezing lightly as some of the released dust tickled her nose Battlecry closed her eyes and flicked her tail from side to side with ire, feeling enclosed in the camp despite its size. Padding a few pawsteps over to the fresh-kill pile she sniffed it cursorily, slitting her eyes when she saw that only a scant amount of prey was left. Sniffing disdainfully she plucked a scruffy little finch from the pile and decided she would probably be stuck with such mean meals until the weather got better. Ignoring Poppypaw completely she took her prey over to a secluded corner, pale green eyes watching all her clanmates go to and thro from their various activities. ~ His back stiff Jaggedstar observed his Clan with the air of someone departed; his eyes languid and uninterested in their doings. Sharp eyes perceived his only kit standing about lazily, no doubt not overly anxious to begin training for the day, and Battlecry sniffing about the fresh-kill pile with an aura of disparagement surrounding her. We’re losing our touch, he thought anxiously. Hardly any warriors remain and we have such a meagre amount of warriors. Life is hard…but, I feel as if we should have a larger Clan.

To Nightrose's relief, Starpaw seemed to relax into his true nature as a happier, slightly timid tom instead of the stiff, shaken one she had seen moments before. He lifted himself from his sullen slouch into a meke stance, not quite proud, as his eyes sparkled with promise. She could see the will to learn was strong in him. He would do anything to please her, most likely to a fault. "Of course!" He meowed. "I'll do everything you say, promise." Smiling down at him, Nightrose licked the crown of his delicate head gently. I need to get him into my den soon, I didn't realize how skinny he was until now. Never has he complained to me. Concern for her apprentice made Nightrose frown, but she quickly shock her head and beamed. "Don't take more than you can chew, apprentice," she advised. "Have wisdom to know what to say no. I won't criticize you for that." With that she turned and headed for the pa.ssage that worked as an entrance and exit out of the clan's camp. Sun filtered through the dense canopy over head, dappling the path before her and tempted Nightrose to play a game of pounce with light tricks. I must act like a medicine cat now. I don't think Jaggedstar would appreciate his medicine cat playing with shadows and light like a kit. Slipping through the narrow path, Nightrose paused to wait for Starpaw outside of camp. The forest before her was huge and intimidating. Different trails lead into the surrounding foilage because of moons upon moons of use durning patrols or favored hunting areas. The one to the left, leading to the creek, was her favorite. It lead to her patch of cat mint and marigold. The two herds didn't often grow close together, but with tender care and attention Nightrose was beginning a growing source of frequently used plants since fresh was more effective than old. Along the way cob webs were plentiful. "Try not to walk through spider webs, I like the webs whole when collecting them," Nightrose informed, "On our way back, if we don't have too much marigold, I would like to collect some cob webs." OoC: It's bed time, so I will post Firekit's tomorrow...er..later today xD

OoC: Don't die Role play, please don't die! D= BiC Firekit trembled as she held in her abundant amount of energy. Always moving, the little fiery kit was wiggling her delicate ivory claws against the soft, sandy earth floor. She bobbed her head in agreement to his statement about Nightrose being so protective of her. In Firekit's eyes the medicine cat worried too much. It's not like I do anything too adventurous, she told herself. It's hard being the only kit. I get lonely. When Silentpaw's nose nuzzled her shoulder she fell into a purring heap of fur. Firekit loved to soak up attention, not matter if it was good or bad. "Your lucky you did not come back a icicle." He meowed to her, and Firekit had enough grace to flush with a bit of embarr*censored*ment. She had worried about that herself when she had reached the creek. All alone. "Next time though, don't go down there alone, alright? At least come and get me so if you do decide to fall in I can get you." Her blue eyes sparkled with delight at the image of her shivering in front of an upset Silentpaw. It was a totally plausible idea with her willful nature and Silentpaw's acceptance in challenging her. Pretending to think about it for a moment, Firekit pursed her lips and let a purr rumble from deep in her chest. "I guess I'll do that next time," she mewed softly, then rushed to add, "but only if you tail-tip promise to never say no!" Then her innocent eyes widened with delighted surprise when Silentpaw accepted begging to go hunting. She was so excited that Firekit launched onto Silentpaw as he gained his paws, though she was still tiny so it was like a fly bouncing off of a mouse. With a squeak, the little she-kit lifted a paw to rub her sore nose, which she had bonked on Silentpaw's shoulder. Realizing that she was acting foolish, Firekit's eyes widened into large, serious blue orbs. Staring up at Silentpaw she hoped that he wouldn't change his mind because of her excited display, she chirped in her high, kitten voice, "I'll be quiet. I promise, and I will do exactly what you tell me to! Exactly when you tell me to! I promise that too! I just had to get rid of some energy, that's all." Firmly closing her lips, Firekit hoped that her babble didn't annoy Silentpaw. He would never hurt her feels by telling her so, but she always wondered if he found her to be a nuisance like the elders and warriors did. He tolerates me though, so that's good I bet! Her kittenish-streamline body trembled with adrenaline as her tom friend called over his shoulder to her, "Come on." With a squeak, the creamy, orange kit follow Silentpaw into the shadows. It was different looking at the gathered warriors from here. I feel like a spy from another clan, she thought with glee. If there had been other kits to play with Firekit would have loved to introduce this game of hiding in the shadows. Hot on Silentpaw's paw-pads, Firekit kept her long tall low to the ground as well as her head. Her clumsy paws wouldn't let her shoulders or hind end lower without her tripping over herself, so she just managed as best she could. Pausing at the entrance so that Silentpaw could check to see if any warriors were returning from hunting, Firekit glanced back to see Jaggedstar studying the clan. Fear-scent started to surround her as she dreaded the moment his eyes would land on her, but Silentpaw called back to her, "Alright, come on." So she bolted out of camp, unseen as far as she could tell. "Oh, this is so exciting!" she mrrowed loudly, then sank low to the ground. Whispering she apologized, "I didn't mean to. I'm sorry. I'll be quiet now. I promise. Don't make me go back. It's too boring." Already her eyes were taking in the surrounding trees and brush. Easily Firekit spotted the path to the creek and hoped that they wouldn't head that way. She wanted to explore new territory. Land that she was only supposed to see as an apprentice. But I get to see it now, she thought with a smug grin. Thanks to Silentpaw I get to explore and not worry about getting lost! Unable to stay silent for long, Firekit mewed, "Where are we going to go now? What was that sound? Do you smell that? What is it? I can't wait to catch something! Do you think I will catch something? I sure hope I do." Licking her lips, Firekit lifted herself up from her crouch so that she could prance with her two front paws. Lifting one hight in the air she would quickly switch to hold the other high in the air and repeat until a caw sounded above her. With a frightened eep, Firekit jumped under Silentpaw. "Was that a hawk?" she asked, looking into the looming trees at a semi-large ebony bird.
