A flood infection form leapt after Soz but Tysin shot it with his DMR and it burst.
Whether we wanted it or not, we\'ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let\'s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta\'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He\'s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Tysin continued sniping them. "Pilot get us down to that jackal" he said.
Suddenly a Wraith appeared over the hill. "hah! Covenant armour! this'll show those Flood!" laughed Gorh. Then he noticed the strange green liquid oozing from the ripped open cockpit.
"wait..." he said. The wraith fired and hit the Pelican. It rocked but stayed airborne.

The pelican swung round, firing it's chaingun at the wraith, which was swiftly ripped to shreds. "Scan the palace, I want to see how many of my troops are still alive" said Gorh. Halsey obliged. "Well, there's the Kig-yar, and theres a squad of something hiding in a room, and there are a couple others heading the jackals way"

The pelican made one more pass and then slowly descended. About 18 feet in the air Gorh leapt out and rushed to Soz and the Hunters.
"Get in the Pelican!" he yelled in Sangheilish. "Wort!"

The Hunters had trouble fitting through the doors. One crouched but then there was barely space inside.
Halsey pondered for a moment then told the pilot to activate the vehicle clamps. the second hunter was suspended from the back of the Pelican.
"there's stilla nother squad inside..." said Gorh.
"No they just went dark" said Tysin sadly.
The Pelican took off again and headed back to the UNSC base.

Gorh reassureingly patted Soz on the shoulder. Minutes later the pelican touched down alongside the 2 Phantoms. The Hunter was unlatched and. embarassed, loped away, followed by his partner.

Soz stopped at the entrance to the medbay. "Arbiter, I don't want to go in! Demon!" He said in Sangheilish, hoping he'd translated the words right.
(I'm assuming he'd have a fairly good knowledge of Sangheili-languagenism, because that's where most of his orders would be coming from. Anyway's, there's a bit of a back-story with Rhi teaching him various languages, so he'd definitely have basic knowledge.)

An ex member of the elite spartan spec-ops group designated "Team Black", he wears the iconic Team Black armour with only three modifications, the chest plate being engraved with an X, and a pair of permanently embossed silver bars, representing the rank of captain that he used to own, having been demoted to the rank of First Lieutenant. His combat knife holster has been moved from the standard position of across the right side of the chest to along the left side of his ribcage with the hilt pointing upwards tilted slightly forwards, it was moved when his armour was engraved with the 2 symbols specific to him.
::Fighting skills::
He is one of the best snipers you will find in the UNSC or ONI, and has literally shot the flea off a moving dog's back from 3/4 of a mile away, before being presented with his personal Mjolnir mk VII powered assault armour. Hostiles shouldn't try getting close to him or sneaking up on min, he carries a 7 inch survival knife (similar to snakes stun knife from MGS4) and knows how to use it to the best of the blades ability, never mind his own.
::Short Background::
Abducted from his home like every other spartan, he is one of the few spartans to know how his flash-clone died when he left home, and the memory has hung over him to this day. His name, known only by team black and several higher-ranking officers, has been lost to the ages when he declared himself mute, and wherever he goes people know him only as Mr X.
::Other::
The X on his armour was engraved to represent him being extradited from the team for a tragedy he unknowingly and unwillingly assisted in bringing about, resulting in the death of 3 of his team-mates, and the tragic loss of several hundred civilian lives during the failed operation: blowback. As a child, on the colony planet Chi Ceti 4, X spent way too much time playing with knives and other blades, and developed the skills necessary to fly through the spartan close combat exercises with nought but the titanium blade he brought with him, and the sheer willpower to keep on going.
