Frederick drove out of the base towards the oncoming mass of flood. The marine on the back of the mongoose had gotten his hands on a fuel rod and fired into the flood, killing four combat forms and a carrier form.

(GTG now bye) A Tank form collapsed to the ground after a headshot from Rhi. Several combat forms died from more of Rhi's shots. Frederick splatted two combat forms and swerved to avoid some carrier forms, which exploded on the mongoos and killed the marine with the fuel rod.

Up ahead in the distance were several marines taking cover behind a rocky hill. A Scorpion was nearby although it's left tracks were in a ditch so it couldn't move. There were two mongooses driving around near it. The flood were pouring out of the covenant corvette, swarming towards the stranded marines.

the Protogravemind twitched and groaned as it released a cloud of Flood spores which quickly grew into infection forms. Flood life-forms filled the old Throne room, indeed most of the palace. From it's doors spewed forward an endless tide of Flood which spread over the land hunting for food.
Catherine and Tysin had managed to escape in a Falcon along with 2 other falcons. The seats of the Falsons were all filled with ODSTs who were grounded because of the fact their SOEIVS were inaccesable.
"I found" them Halsey drawled over the radio. tysin looked down at the Scorpion, mongi marines and Warthog.
Whether we wanted it or not, we\'ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let\'s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta\'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He\'s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Frederick hopped out of the Warthog and headed towards the Scorpion. He killed two combat forms with his shotgun and punched a third in the head. When he got to the Scorpion, with the help of some marines, lifted the Scorpion's tracks out of the ditch. One of the mongooses was destroyed by a Tank form after running over some combat forms.

The Scorpion blew a Tank form in half and Frederick threw a grenade at some carrier forms. The second mongoose was destroyed because it accidentally drove into a huge group of carrier forms. (But there is still the mongoose with no gunner)

"Watch where your shooting!" Frederick yelled up while blasting some infection forms with his shotgun. The Scorpion, mongoose (Which acquired a gunner) and the remaining marines started to retreat to the base. Frederick hopped back into the Gauss Warthog's driver seat.

The Scorpion blew up a large group of carriers. The cloud of infection forms (and other flood) coming out of the ship began to pour across the ground towards the group, despite the immense amount of fire from the Falcons, Scorpion, Mongoose, marines, Frederick and Rhi.
