Two combat forms exploded and their corpses were sent flying. The flood dashed towards them, swiping at Rhi and the Sergeant, knocking the Sergeant to the ground and splitting his chest armor, although he managed to take out a third with his assault rifle first.

A combat form was slain by the shotgun, but another knocked the shotgun out of Rhi's hands. Three combat forms leaped around Rhi, smashing her knees, chest, head and neck. One combat form jumped onto the Sergeant, but he knocked it off with his assault rifle and fired continuously into it's spine.

The flood didn't relent their attack. The Sergeant picked up Rhi's shotgun and blasted a combat form in the back, killing it instantly. He fired twice at another combat form, hitting it both times and killing it. A third combat form hit him across the head, knocking him unconscious.

The third combat form was killed by Rhi's attack. The forth combat form jumped onto Ebony's back, knocking out her shields. It tried to stab into her head with it's tentacle, but was prevented from doing so by the horns on her helmet.
