The one-armed combat formed leaped again, landing on a grunt's neck and killing it instantly. The grunts immediately panicked and fled in different directions, each being chased by at least one Carrier. Two Carriers charged towards Rhi. In the Chaos the one-armed combat form tired to dash off, but Sergeant Harrenly gave chase.

The Carriers blocked Rhi's path and exploded.
The Sergeant fired at the one-armed combat form, which spun around and clothes-lined Sergeant Harrenly. The combat form made a gurgling laugh-noise and ran off. Sergeant Harrenly wiped his blood off his face. "Did that thing just laugh." He shook his head and pulled himself to his feet.

The infection forms took out Rhi's energy shields but lost most of their number.
The Sergeant fired at a Carrier chasing a grunt, which detonated. He then shot at the infection forms, popping several.

The infection forms all popped. Sergeant Harrenly ran towards Rhi, firing bursts at the Carriers.

Both combat forms were killed. The Sergeant ducked as an infection form floated at his head. "Nice work." he smacked the infection form with his gun. "But I think we should fall back a bit, the covies are separating a bit too much and we might get overwhelmed despite the number of grunts and Jackals." Two Jackals ran past them, firing overcharged plasma pistols.

The burning ghost was swarmed by Carriers and was destroyed by the explosions. Several Jackals died from a flanking attack by some infected elites, but the remaining Jackals killed the combat forms.
The Brute Chieftan smashed a combat form with his gravity hammer, sending it flying. The combat form's corpse landed beside Rhi.

Three combat forms rushed at Rhi. Sergeant Harrenly went into a crouching position a couple of meters away from one of the Jackal clusters. He fired his assault rifle briefly at some infection forms, then hurriedly reloaded.

Two of the combat forms were too slow to avoid Rhi's blades and were killed, but the third jumped over Rhi. It spun around as it hit the ground and swiped at Rhi's back, gurgling.
