The combat form gurgled and attacked Rhi again.
A Wraith mortar shell landed dangerously close to Rhi and the corpses of several combat forms flew into the air. The Tank form right behind Rhi returned fire by smashing a brute towards the Wraith, but it missed.

The combat form was killed. The Brutes charged into the Tank form, attacking it with everything at their disposal. Two were killed by several exploding Carriers and a third by the combat forms at the Tank form's feet. The Wraith's turret shredded an infected Brute.

The combat forms pinned Rhi's arms down, but were suddenly pulled off Rhi by the Brutes and viciously curb-stomped. The Brutes Chieftan smashed the last remaining combat form, then dropped his out of ammo Gravity Hammer-and took out a second.

The Brutes grunted at her, then moved off, firing into a swarm of infection forms.
Sergeant Harrenly and the Jackals killed the last few combat forms attacking them, only to be all hit by a wave of Carrier forms. The Sergeant fired into them, detonating them before they were two close, but the rest all detonated, killing all the Jackals and flinging the Sergeant out in front of the Wraith.

The Sergeant sat up and cradled his dislocated hip. He breathed in deeply then push it back in. He hurriedly scrambled out of the Wraith's way, just as it boosted through to get closer to some combat forms. A cluster of infection forms floated towards Rhi.
