The jackals nodded, hissing and scavenging for ammo among the dead.
Jenkins looked down at the battlefield. The giant crashed covenant cruiser was covered in gigantic flood tentacles and had flood organisms pouring from every door and hole. Covenant and UNSC vehicles drove among them, their drivers infected whilst inside their machines. Against them were huge swathes of various kinds of Sentinel, destroying huge groupings of the tide. "Let me get this straight, you want us to get down there, disabled the gun of one of the smaller machines, then have it follow us-trying to destroy us-so we won't be attacked by any Sentinels along the way?!" "Not quite-it will also mean if we get attacked by any flood it will call in reinforcements to deal with them." Sergeant Harrenly said. "But wouldn't it just do that with us?" "No, because the god-machines would not waste resources on the likes of you when the flood are here in such strength." The Elite growled.
