[[Don't worry about it. You're posts are always longer than Ty's. XD;]] Sidera drew his breath in through his teeth as she cleaned his hand, glad she had warned him beforehand that it would sting. It most certainly wasn't a very pleasant experience, but with the gauze wrapped around it, it felt immediately better. He was a bit taken aback that she wanted to know his name, as he interpretted her suggestion, but couldn't see anything wrong with 'sweetheart' as she called it. Then again, that would be referring to him as a child, and it would be better if he seemed older than he was to her. The Elders were reverred, whereas the young were looked down upon, and it would not do to be looked down upon by the earth people. Who knew what they might do. Ellowyn, however, sounded like a rather beautiful name, and reminded him of the name of a girl in a story he heard once. He couldn't remember that name exactly, but they were certainly similar. ''I thank you, Ellowyn. I do not mind being called whatever you wish, but the name I normally go by is Sidera.'' He wondered why he was telling her his real name, when she could have power over him simply by knowing that. Apparently he trusted her more than he'd thought.

((Lol just watch, my posts will eventually just get smaller and smaller XD))
"Well pleasure to meet you Sidera." Ellowyn smiled. That was definately a name she had never heard before, at least not one you'd hear in America, maybe in another country, but that was a big maybe. Or she was just ignorant either it was a name that suited the tall alien infront of her.
She backed away for a moment and leaned her body up against the island in the center of the kitchen. "Now Sidera, I hope you don't mind me asking and I'm sorry if I sound rude but uh, you're an alien right?" she asked raising an eyebrow. "What I mean is why are you here? And do all your people look so...human?"
She really hoped that didn't sound bad, because it did to her. Atleast she was thankful he looked human, it was probablywhy she was so calm around him. If he happened to look like a creppy, grey little ET creature she might have just run screaming. Huh, is that a mean thought? She asked herself running a hand through her curls absentmindedly.

[[Rofl. Ty's do too. |D]] A pleasure to meet someone... That was not a phrase typically used by his people, but he supposed it was logical. Usually they stuck with something similar, such as ''good to have met with you'' or something along those lines. They weren't as different as he'd expect, and it made him think of what else about their cultures could be similar. In fact, Sidera was surprised by the courtesy and manners she presented in her next questions. It was strange, that if those people were so barbaric, and descended from the worst of his culture, that they could have such polite ways. Even so, he found it difficult to answer her question. He was, after all, rather ashamed of his reasons for being there. ''All our people look human because we are. A long time ago, so it is said, many of our people rose up against their oppressors and were punished for it by being exiled to a strange, alien planet. They evolved slightly, so I guess that's why you look different. Most believe that they deserved to be exiled for going against what is 'right', that the leader is never wrong. Those that do not are punished. Those that cause too much of a stir, make too much of a problem...'' He paused, wondering how to go on. He had been the first in a long time to require such drastic action. ''They are exiled, too. No one has been exiled for many hundreds of years, but when all else fails, something 'must be done'. That is why I am here.'' He did not consider the implications of being exiled to her planet, didn't wonder how she could use the vast information he had just told her against him.

((lol XD))
Ellowyn raised an eyebrow at his explaination. Huh, she thought as she pulled herself up to sit on the edge of the counter. That would mean that they were all somehow decended from his people. "Well that screws up religion." she muttered to herself before looking at him, glad that sitting on the counter made her eye level with him, if not slightly taller.
She wondered what he meant by her looking so different. Other than the fact that she was a girl, and her eyes didn't glow they weren't that different, both human in appearence. SHe pushed that thought from her mind and made a mental note to as later as he started talking about being exiled.
She chewed her lip momentarily and looked at him, wondering how the hell he could possibly get exiled, he seemed like a sweet kid. "So, when your people are exiled..." she started choosing her words carefully. "Do they try to kill you in those ships, or was yours a special case and you just landed wrong?"
His space craft was in pretty bad shape, he could have died. It looked like it just shot right from the sky, what a way to be exiled.

Sidera shrugged. No one knew much about the way the exiles worked. They claimed it was a humane method of disposing of the worst troublemakers, that they were sent to live in a bountiful region via a one-hundred percent safe journey, but the likelihood of that being true was very slim, especially considering what his ship was like. ''I don't know if they were trying to purposefully kill me, but I do know there are many things they say that are lies, that are untrue, and most of the time hypocritical. They claim that exilation is simply sending someone to live in a place where no one can cause trouble, and that they are welcome back if they manage to survive forty years on their own. No one's ever come back.'' He looked thoughtful for a moment, thinking. ''I suppose with the amount of people that were said to have been sent the first time round, some had to have survived. It's difficult to tell whether the crash was accidental or design.'' His doubt of the truth had been the cause for his exile; he had been beginning to get other people to follow his example, to demand an explanation, to not just follow blindly like sheep. Even in his young years, the death of the only mother he had ever known resulted in him becoming something like a revolutionary leader.

Forty years? He can't be serious, Ellowyn thought. There was no way one of his people would be able to survive forty years let alone a few hours, especially if they had run ins like Sidera had with her power drill. That could have gone horribly wrong, she thought uneasily. That could have been a grisly sight.
She listened intently nodding at a few parts, tugging at her curls straight and watching them spring back absent mindedly. When he was done she stayed silent for a while. Wondering what he could have done to get himself exiled, he seemed do nice and proper by her standards. Well that was Earths standard maybe it was different.
But she would feel instrusive if she asked about his exile, they didn't know eachother and he might not have been comfortable with that she she asked something else.
"So Sid," she started looking back at him. "One last question. What exactly did you plan on doing for forty years?"

Sidera chuckled, shaking his head. Apparently the earth people knew about subtle humour too, even in the circumstances he was in at the moment. He didn't know what he intended to do, but he knew as soon as he set out he'd never be coming back. After having freedom on an alien planet, had he even survived, for such a long time, he wouldn't be able to go back to following the rules, listening. He'd be exiled again as soon as he returned. ''That, I do not know. I didn't have much time to think about it, to be honest. I think I must have slept at least a century, but it passed by in the bl ink of an eye. It's not like normally sleeping, with dreams, emotions, thoughts... It's... empty.'' He looked down for a moment, remembering. It had seemed both like no time at all, and an eternity, all at the same time. It had been a living hell. ''Besides, I was exiled quickly; I was given only a week's notice. It can be difficult to think straight when you know your very name will soon be something akin to a curse...'' He trailed off, shaking his head and smiling ruefully. ''Still, at least I don't have to listen to lies any more.''

Ellowyns eyebrow shot up. He was asleep in the pod for a century? ANd yet still somehow managed to look amazing and not like an old wrinkly man? Unless it's like a superman type thing, she thought to herself. If it was possible her eyebrow would have went higher when he said he no longer had to hear their lives. She guess his people must have been raised by an overload or something like that, like in all those dystopian books.
She wanted to ask him about that, but she did say that that was her last question so she just smiled. "Well Sid, you are welcome to hang out with me until you figure your exile situation out." She grinned. "You know just as long as the Sergeant doesn't see you."
She slid off the counter. "Well I've been bothering you with questions which is rude of me. You must have some too so shoot." She said. She was begining to feel guilty about questioning him, when probably had even more questions than her, especially because he would be spending the next forty years here.
"Are you hungry Sweetheart?" she asked moving away from him to peek into the fridge, she didn't buy much and she wasn't exactly sure what he ate, or if he even did. She closed the door and looked back up sheepishly. "I uh, don't have alot, but theres a diner up the street and I can run and get some stuff from there if you'de like."

[[Sorry for the delay, first post got deleted and Ty didn't realise. |3]] Sidera smiled, unused to such hospitality. He was glad of a place to stay on the alien planet, and wondered who the Sergeant was. He'd have to ask her later, or get used to hiding, or something. He was already pretty good at keeping himself from being seen, even in the most open of places. It would be a new and welcome challenge. He was in fact hungry, but chose to ignore it for the time being when she asked, shaking his head in response. For one thing, he didn't know what kind of stuff they ate here, and didn't want to refuse her hospitality if it turned out to be something he was incapable of eating. He did wonder what the contraption was that she looked in, but decided it could wait. He was also wondering if she could really be comfortable with how warm it was, but supposed it was normal for her, and didn't think more of it. ''No, I'm fine, thank you anyway.'' He attempted to arrange the mess of his thoughts into something coherent, and decided which question he would ask first. ''Why didn't you leave when I had asked you to? Not that I wish you had, I currently do not consider you a threat, whereas I did then, but... Did you even hear me?'' He tilted his head to the side, wondering if their minds were really so incredibly different. ''And why do you choose to help me to begin with? Among my people, to be so hospitable to strangers, especially strangers who look different, or have different technology... It's dangerous. Your people... They're apparently not violent at all, whereas we were taught that you were barbaric.''

((Lol thats alright, that happens to me sometimes ^^))
Ellowyn eyebrow went up and she grinned. He thought she was a threat? If she was a guy that's be understandable to her because people tended to trust women more for whatever reason.
And if her eyebrow could go higher they would, His people thought they were barabric? Well that was understandable, in some ways they were when in came to wars and killers, but those were just select few crazies in the world.
She shook her head and looked at him grinning. "Barbarians, wow." she said in disbelief. "Well thats understandable." She shrugged leaning herself against the counter once more. "And yes, I did hear your voice I had meant to ask but that had slipped my mind. Anyways, honestly it's probably because you looked so much like a regular human I couldn't just leave you there to die." she said. "I mean if you looked like ET, I might have ran away screaming."
She shuddered inwardly at the tought. If she had seen a wrinkly little thing in that wreckage chances are she wouldn't have helped, unless it was adorable of course. "Plus if I'd left you, and heaven forbid someone else had found you, I don't really know what would have happened, people are always looking for a way to make a quick buck..."
The thought was unerving. He was so nice, and imagining him open and being disected in some secret military base...that was just not a nice thought.
"And I wouldn't be so quick to say the human race is not violent, you can ask any of the boys around here, I've beat most of them up. But we know when people are in need and just....I dunno I had to help." She shrugged and chewed the inside of her cheek. "But how did you do that voice thing with my head, it seriously freaked me out."

Sidera was amused with Ellowyn's facial expressions; they were different to what he was used to, particularly the eyebrow thing she did so often. It was funny, and he grinned when she did it. She seemed amazed, and he almost regretted saying it, besides for the fact that she was grinning. Apparently she had heard his voice, though, which was good; he didn't know what she expected aliens to look like, seeing as they were descended from his kind, but then again she hadn't seemed to have known that. He didn't know what an ET was, though. Probably some kind of animal on her planet or something. He nodded when she said about someone else finding him. Maybe they did have some barbaric customs, and he was just lucky to have been helped by someone who wasn't monrstrous. He didn't know what a quick buck was either, but it didn't sound good. For some reason, a lot of things were starting to not sound good. He didn't doubt she had beat a lot of people up, she looked stronger than any girl he'd ever met, after all. Stronger than multiple men he had known, too, himself included. Her reaction to his telapathy, saying it freaked him out, made him wonder. Did she not communicate like that, ever? Maybe they'd sacrificed mental strength in exchange for physical... ''All my people can do it. I believe it when you say you can beat people up, I don't think I've seen a woman as strong as you before. I have no doubt you could beat me up, too. I think that, when my people landed here a long time ago, they began evolving... If you can't communicate with your mind, and none of your people can, perhaps that's why you're stronger than us.''

Ellowyn ran a hand through her curls as she listened to him. All his people huh? She thought, that's be cool to have sometimes she felt she could read her brothers mind, but that was because they were twins.
But she smiled when he said he believed she could beat people up, him included. She probably could too, considering how thin he was compared to other guys she'd seen. But her being a strongest woman he'd seen? There were definately women with more muscle than her so she wondered what women looked like on his planet.
"Well Sid, you don't have to worry about me beating you up." She grinned. "You know, unless you make me mad, because then you might wanna run." She added, jokingly.
"But you shouldn't have to worry about me, I'm not really that much stronger than most females. I can hold my own weight, and I may have more muscle but there are definately women with more muscle than I. And guys too of course." She said. "As for the mind reading communication thing. Some people can do that, or atleast claim to do that. Mostly twins, like me and my brother but we really just sense eachothers thoughts not full on communication."
She thought back to what he said about his people. "What exactly do your people look like. Do I look strong than any of the women? Or guys too?"

Sidera smiled, deciding it would be best to never make Ellowyn mad. Even if he was a fast runner, he wouldn't want to be around if- when- she caught up to him. He wasn't as surprised as he expected he'd be when she said she wasn't much stronger than most girls, and that there were more muscular women too, and guys as well. Maybe it was because his own suspicions had brought him to something similar. So some of their people could do it, but not all? And she already had a sense for it? Perhaps it wasn't lost completely, then, but they were just like children, and didn't know how to ''talk'' anymore... Didn't have anyone left to teach them... He'd have to think about that. He'd say something after he'd answered her next question, he decided. See how she'd respond to being taught. ''My people... I a, about average for one of my people. Your skin is darker, but this seems like a warm climate... We don't have anywhere this warm where I come from. Maybe it's normal for you... Anyway, you're a lot shorter than most of my people. There are people as short as you, but it's not usual. People are normally between six and seven feet, sometimes more, but again it's not usual.'' He paused, wondering how to describe their build in comparison. There wasn't really anyone who worked out or trained where he came from, after all. ''Well... You're stronger than all of the woman, judging by appearance. And you're not far behind the same thing with the men. Let's just say it wouldn't be difficult for you to hold your head high on my planet, if they weren't so against anything different. Then again, there's no reason why you'd want to go there...'' He decided now was as good a time as any to ask her, as she wasn't any more likely to say yes later on. ''Ellowyn, may I ask you something? You say you already have some senses. Where I come from, children are born with light senses, and their parents talking to them teaches them how to use the senses, just like learning to talk. I was wondering, if perhaps... Would you like me to teach you how to 'talk'? Using only your mind?'' He looked eager to teach her, thinking he'd finally found a way to repay the hospitality he'd been shown.

She listened intently as he spoke of his people. Smiling slightly when he said she was darker, probably due to climate, but that wasn't the case; it was genetics. Though in a way it might have been due to her mothers climate, but that was centuries ago when people had evolved. She wondered what his response to her father would be considering he had the same skin tone as him, if not slightly darker.
She figured she'd be shorter than people on his planet considering his size. She was surprisingly tall for a girl considering she was the height of most men, althought she knew a girl taller than her.
Hey mouth fell slightly open and her eyebrows went up. He could teach her how to talk to with her mind? She grinned up at him noticing he seemed just as eager as her. "Are you serious? You can do that?" she asked, her voice excited. "That is so cool! How would that even work thought?"
The thought of being able to communicate through the mind would be simply amazing! Just the thought made her grin like an idiot. Though her smiled faltered slightly when another thought entered her mind. "Hey, if you teach me, does that mean you'de be able to read my mind?" She'd hate to have him rifling through her thoughts, some of them weren't always pleasent, and some were embarassing.

| Sidera grinned further as her eyebrows shot up again, finding it still to be highly amusing. This time her mouth fell open slightly, too, and he wondered if she was surprised. She seemed it. When she spoke, it was clear she didn't understand it, but the fact that she even wanted to learn made him elated, although he didn't know why. He was slightly taken aback by her question. It was more likely someone could look through an uneducated mind than a taught one, but he was raised with that knowledge, and only a very select few could manage that. He was pretty sure he wasn't one of them. ''Huh? No, of course not. It will simply open up your mind, show you how to recieve messages and how to send. Both are in different parts of the mind, so it would be very close to impossible for me to read your mind. And it'd be easy, really. Like learning to talk.'' He smiled again; he couldn't help it, he was just so glad that he'd be able to teach her. ''And of course I'm serious. Why would I suggest it otherwise?'' He gave a small laugh, a light, slightly unearthly sound, but that was to be expected. It was, after all, coming from an alien creature, despite how much he looked like her. |

((Lol, the Men in Black should show up and be like 'An alien shio landed yesterday, did you see it?' XD))
Ellowyn grinned and turned her head sideways slightly when she heard his laugh. It sounded different from any other laughter she had heard before, but that was to be expected he wasn't from Earth, no matter how human he looked.
"Well that is wicked awesome, I can't wait to be able to talk like that." she grinned again before turning to look at the clock on the wall, it noon, so she was feeling a little hungry. "Hey Sid you sure you don't want something to eat?" she asked turning back to look at him. "That diner up the street makes the best grilled cheese."
She stopped for a moment and rethought. maybe aliens didn't eat, perhaps they created their own food internally like plants or something. That's be pretty cool, she thought. She looked back at Sidera. "Wait, does your kind even eat food? Or is it like created somehow...?"

[[ROFLMAO. Something along those lines. XD Maybe army on patrol, questioning peeps or summit? Or someone else could show up.]] Sidera wondered what exactly wicked awesome meant, but she seemed happy, so he took it as a good sign. He, too, was happy that she seemed so enthusastic. Even the prospect of strange, alien food sounded good to him, and he wondered what a grilled cheese was. Or a diner, for that matter. He laughed again when she asked if he ate food. It would be very difficult for him to create food from carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and sunlight rays, as many of the plants where he came from did. He wasn't that different from her. ''Yeah, we eat food. I highly doubt we eat the same kind of things, though.''

((No really, the Men in Black should show up and be like have you seen an alien and she'd be like aww crap, I wish I could warn Sidera with my mind XD))
Ellowyn smiled when he said he ate food. "Well as long as you don't have dextro DNA like the aliens in my video games you should be fine." she shrugged. In her video games if the character ate human food he'd die, she didn't exactly understand why because it was a video game like she was ever going to meet an alien
"Don't worry grilled cheese is like America's favourite food, aside from burgers of course." she said. "I wouldn't feed you poison, intentionally." she smiled slightly at the last part.
"I'll just go run and change and I'll drive up and get the food. We can't have you go out running around looking like a mummy. You can rest ont he couch." she motioned to the couch in the living room type area. "I'll be right be right back." She hurried past him into her room and pulled out come clothes. She slipped herself into blue skinny jeans and just pulled on a baggy US Marines sweatshirt. It was a bit warm out for it, but she didn't feel like digging around her suitcase. She tugged the hair tie out of her hair and let the curls fall losely to her shoulder before she grabbed her wallet and hurried back into the hall.
"So quick tell me. Do you want grilled cheese or a hamburger?" she asked when she saw Sidera. "They are both the absolute best."
