Her breath hitched and her heart skipped a beat. "Stop saying you're sorry silly" she said a smile on her face, her cheeks red. "I... I love you too so there's... there's nothing at all to apologise for" she told him. Her hair was over her eyes and she looked up at him cutely though her bangs, a sort of shy smile on her face, the blush spreading slightly as her heart pounded.

Jace's heart stopped for a minute. He struggled to breath for a moment, and he felt like he'd been knocked flat on his back. Somebody else... loved him? His head started to spiral.

Jace jumped in surprise; he hadn't expected Nanami to speak. "Erm, fine." he mumbled, still staring at him feet. He was going into total denial. She doesn't love me...She's just lying....Yes, she's lying...That makes sence...

"Alright" she said looking back down at their hands. "Sorry" she muttered. She sighed, leaning her head on his shoulder hesitantly. "I really do love you though..." she muttered quietly. Did I just wreck this friendship? she wondered with a small sigh. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.

"Because everyone lies about that," Jace mumbled. "Nobody loves me. And I don't love anybody else. I don't have feelings." He sounded like he was trying to convince Nanami as well as himself.

"I love you" she said softly. "But you don't love me" she didn't really believe him but hearing that made her heart drop. "So... you're dream was just a lie? You don't love me then" she sighed and sat up, moving away from him slightly. "I'm sorry... I was probably making you uncomfortable being that close" she said. Even though she'd move she didn't let go of his hand.

Jace held on tigher. If she let go of his hand... He would die. "Nobody loves me," he mumbled, "I learned that a long, long time ago. I'm a monster; I'm unnatural. I'm a filthy leach." He flicked the hair out of his face, revealing his blind eye and scar. "I'm ugly, and I don't have any feelings." Despite that, he felt like he would explode into tears if Nanami let go now.

"If nobody loves you then I'm nobody" she told him. "If you don't have feelings why is it so hard for you to let go of my hand?" She moved close to him again. "If you don't love me or feel anything for me then let me go" she said looking down at their hands. Her heart was in her stomach again, she wanted him to admit that he loved her but she didn't want to force him into it, she'd let him say what he wanted to say but she wanted the truth and she wanted him to know she loved him.

"Who says you can't love me?" she asked "who says I can't love you?" There was a short pause in her words "Nothing is imposible if you just try" she said. Wow that was cheesey she thought before pushing it to the back of her mind. She gave him a gentle smile and sat up slightly kissing his cheek before moving back into her previous sitting position.

"I say I can't love you, and you can't love me. I'm a monster; I kill innocent people. I drink blood. Isn't that enough? The fact that I'm a murderous leach?!" He ignored the little stutter his heart gave, and focused on proving his point. He just wasn't lovable; end of story. But he wanted to believe so badly that he and Nanami belonged together. Every cell in his body wanted it so badly it hurt.

Nanami gave a sigh and looked down. She was slowly loosing hope in this. Her heart constricted painfuly in her chest and she took a deep breath. "You're not a monster... monsters are scary and mean, you're neither" she told him looking up at him again."Do you kill people because you want to or because you have too?... It doesn't bother me if you do it to live" she told him quietly. She sighed again and closed her eyes silently wishing that this wasn't so complicated, that her life wasn't so complicated but it was.

pression. "You don't get how badly I want to drink your blood right now. And you don't get how bad I'd feel if I did that. And you don't get how bad I am. It's so easy for me to loose controll. I've killed so many people..." He loosened his grip on her hand, eyes watering slightly. "You don't get how bad life his for me. And if you stay with me...You'll get sucked right into the middle of everything. And I don't want that." He quivered slightly. "I don't want you." He felt sick and pained, like somebody'd just punched him several times in the stomach. But he managed to take his hand out of her's. (( e__e Makes me sad to read that. Even though I wrote it. LOL. ))
