Nanami drew her hand up to her chest and hung her head, hope gone. She stood slowly and turned away from him tears in her eyes, voice shaking. "I'm sorry" she muttered. "I ruined everything didn't I" she gave a sad laugh and sniffle rubbing away runaway tears. She swallowed against the lump in her throat and took a shuddering breath. "I'm sorry I ever said anything... but I... I do love you" she told him. She turned back to him and gave him one last glance before turning, running off into the maze. She didn't notice that she forgot her lute, all she wanted was to get away from him because at that moment she was in more pain than she'd ever felt and being near him made it worse.

Jace stared after her for only a moment, and then he seemed to crumble inside. His knees buckled, and he pitched forward, catching himself on his hands and knees. Tears streamed down his blood-stained, ditry face and into the dusty gravel. He felt like somebody was kicking him repeatedly in the stomach. Catching sight of her lute out of the corner of his eye made it worse, and a broken sob escaped his chest. He collapsed, and laid there, sprawled out on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably, waiting to die. For the first time, he actually wished Luke would come running up with red eyes and a wooden steak. He felt like he'd already been staked repeatedly, and left to bleed on the ground. 

He curled up, hugging his knees to his chest. Tears streamed down his face constantly, and Jace could only grit his teeth and endure the pain. His fangs dug into his gums, and he fought back the urge to tear them out of his mouth. His mind wandered to the plants around him. One well-aimed stick through the heart would end everything...

He got up, onto his feet shakily, and started to look for a good branch.

Nanami triped and gave a cry and she fell to her knees. She didn't move from the ground, instead she sat and cried, sobbing as the tears poured down her cheeks hands clutching at her chest. She felt absolutly horrible, her head was pounding and her chest was tight, she couldn't breath. She drew one hand away from her chest to wipe at her eyes and looked around for her lute.

I left it...

At this thought she gave a loud frustrated cry and stood on unsteady legs turning back the way she had come to get her lute. She felt her heart pull and nervousness churn in her stomach as she got closer and closer to the place where they had been. As she turned the corner again she spoted Jace and looked down, her feet stopped moving, she was frozen the ache in her heart amplifying. She gave her mind the time to wonder though what is he doing?      

[What are you talking about? You are so far from uncreative XD]

Jace didn't notice Nanami at all as he snapped a sturdy branch off of one plant. He flopped back onto the ground, pulling off anything sticking off of the main part of the branch. If he was going to do this, he wanted it to be clean.

After he cleaned the stick of extra branches, he pressed the sharper tip to his chest, right where his heart was. He glanced up, and jumped when he saw Nanami. Fear, panic and pain coarsed through his veins in one short second.

And then the stick slipped, and stabbed into his chest, right beside his heart. Jace looked down at his chest in horror, a little gasp escaping him.

His tears starting to turn more of a pink colour as blood mixed with the salty water. Blood filled his mouth, suffocating him and overwhelming him with panic.

I missed...Now I'm going to die slowly, and painfully. And right in front of Nanami.

His eyes met hers for only a second, and then his eyes rolled back into his head, and he toppled backwards onto the dusty ground. Blood soaked his shirt and changed it a dark red colour. His skin felt like it was on fire, like somebody was pressing a hot iron into him. And the pain was spreading. From his chest, to his lungs, to his heart, to his mind...

His hands grasped at the stick, and he squeezed his eyes shut. He didn't struggle or flail around. He just waited as he slowly burned to death. And he couldn't pull it out. He was paralyzed.

Nanami gasped as she watched Jace stake himself. "No" she whispered softly her tears rushing faster. She was finally able to move and she ran to him, dropping by his side. "Jace no. No you can't leave me!" she sobbed. "Why did you do that, why the hell did you do that?!" she cried her voice growing hoars.

She wanted to so something, anything to save him but she didn't know if pulling out the stick would make it better or worse. The headache worsened and she had to resist the urge she had to scream.

Why? Why did this have to happen? I don't want him to die

"Please Jace" she whimpered placing her hands over his "p-please don't die... I love you" she cried. "I'm sorry. This is all my fault" she sobbed. Her hands tightened around his. "I-I'm going to... t-to try and pull it out" she told him but she hesitated.

Why can't I do it?!

Her mind raged, head pounding, her stomach in a knot, she couldn't swallow the lump in her throat and it was hard for her to breath. She felt destroyed and desperate and in that desparation called out for the only other person she could think of. "Daddy! You're a god aren't you! Save him damn it! This is the one time I want anything from you just save him!" she cried but her please seemed to go unanswered.

[Okay, now I kinda am crying DX ... but this is sooo awsome!]

Jace's head spun in dizzying circles, and his vision was starting to dim. His mouth was full of blood, and he couldn't feel his fingers. He looked at Nanami with dim eyes; everything was becoming perfectly clear. "I love you," he mumbled, smiling weakly. He blinked his beautiful silver eyes once, and then leaned his head back, closing them. He pas$ed out cold.

"No, no please" she cried softly "I love you too!" Hesitation gone she settled her hand on the stick and pulled it out, angling it away from where she *censored*umed his heart to be. She hoped and prayed she wouldn't acidentaly kill him, she didn't want him gone, as selfish as that made her feel.

"You can't die" she told him softly. "I love you so you can't die" she comanded in a weak voice. She closed her eyes tight against the pounding headache, she wished for it to go away, she wished for all of this to stop.

Why can't I just be home? Why can't Jace be okay? Why did this have to happen? What did we ever do?

Her thoughts of desperation went unanswered and all she could do was sit there and cry in the silence of the god forsaken place she was in.

[My internet keeps shutting down DX]     

Jace woke up with a little gasp as she pulled it out. Blood seeped from the wound, making the stain on his shirt spread. He clamped a hand on his chest, wincing. The burning was subsiding slightly, but he could hear his heart.

It was pumping dangerously slow, and he could hear it falter occasionally.

He groaned, struggling to sit up straight.

((Hmm...It appears I have nothing to post...))

 "I am sure you were probably just imagining things...Now you need some sleep." Kitty said. She didn't know if they really could get out of here, but it was unlikely.

 Aurora nodded,"You are probably right." She said sitting down. She closed her eyes and drifted into a dream.

 "That is Kitty...You might want to worry a little bit about her, but I will make sure she doesn't get near you." Hunter said his voice turning cold.

 Kitty sniffed the air,"Human blood." She said her pupils turned dark red. She felt her fangs peirce the inside of her lips and heard her stomach growl.

 "Yep." Hunter said,"We should hurry though." He added grabbing her good hand without knowing it.

 Kitty looked around,"I will be right back." She said.

 "Okay." Johnny said not even paying attention.
