Deomi kept her grip on his ear, closing her eyes and ignoring the fierce pain in her belly. She waited for his teeth to kill her and prayed that someone would save her.

Hunter let out a howl grabbing Josh by the scruff of the neck and pulling him off of Deomi. His fur was bristled and his eyes where wild. He let go of Josh stepping between Deomi and Josh.

Jace shook his head softly. "Not any more...I was changed about a week ago." He flexed his wings, eyes sparkling softly. I miss being mortal." Charlotte growled, and thrust the shadows between the two fight wolves, seperating them by force. She snarled, "Will. You. Quit. It?!" Her eyes flashed dangerously black. Josh collapsed onto the ground, spitting out the fur he'd gotten when he'd bitten down on her foreleg.

Deomi felt a pulsing pain in her leg. She had been bitten. She yelped in fear, phasing human, "If I die, I'm going to kill you." she threatened. If she died, she would come back here, because she was half angel. But if she died, she would be different, unable to shift, she wouldnt ever be able to have children, or a husband. She held her arm and cried softly, tears falling from her face onto the ground. The pain was like a burn that traveled through her. She almost cried out, but held her toung, "what will this venom do to me!" She questioned Josh, knowing he probably wouldnt have an answer.

"I'm sorry" Nanami whispered stopping her music to gently rest a comforting hand on his arm, hopping he wouldn't mind the comfort. "I really have no idea what it feels like to be changed from one thing to another but I do know what it feels like to be different... not a great feeling hu?" she asked. When she stopped talking she could hear the ruckus down the tunnel "what in the world is going on? I hear more voices down there" she said. "Should we go check it out friend?" she asked drawing her hand back away from him.

Josh tried to change back, but he couldn't. He didn't know how, and he was so scared he didn't understand what was going on. His eyes changed back to indigo, and he let out a ragged breath. The hair on Jace's arm stood on end, and he fought back the need to shrug her hand off. "Let's go," he said, breathing in relief when her hand moved off his arm. He flashed a dazzling smile. "I'll protect you, Nanami." Charlotte stumbled, nearly falling on her face. She was breathing in ragged gasps. "Damn...Shadow Channelling... Not...Enough... Practise.." She dropped to the floor, sitting with her legs stretched out in front of her. ((;O I'm making Luke. My Luke. Just to stir up some trouble.))

Hunter walked over to Charlotte,"Are you okay?" He asked in a gentle voice. He sat down next to her and look up at the other. Kitty blinked a few times her eyes changing back,"okay you can let go." She said. Johnny released his grip and walked over towards Deomi,"What did you do to make him so angry?" He asked shocked. |

Nanami smiled "alright, thanks much I'm not much of a fighter" she laughed softly and began walking down the tunnel making sure to keep close to Jace but not touch him. Something told her he hadn't like the bodily contact so she logged that away in her memory. A good part of her foresight, probably the only good part of it, was her ability to read people and tell what they did and didn't like. She clutched to her lute, a bit apprehensive of what they would find as she continued to walk.

Deomi sank to the ground and started to rock back and forth with her knees tucked beneath her chin. She started to murmer the words to her favorite song, Tears Don't Fall by Bullet For My Valentine, "With blood shot eyes I watch you sleeping

Jace sighed, trailing after her while keeping an eye out for any danger. All he could hear now was voices. ___ Josh groaned, nosing her apologetically. I'm sorry, he cried in his mind, I don't know what I am.. or how to controll it... ___ Charlotte nodded. "I'm alright. It just takes a lot out of me. I need more practice."

Nanami gasped softly when she came upon all the others. She really didn't know what to make of all that she was seeing. An injured woman on the ground crying and a wolf of sorts beside her, nudging her... she reconized the creature, it was the one from her vision "Josh?" she whispered in a confused manner. Her head was swimming. She looked around at each of the other people around, putting their faces to memory. Usualy she would have said hello but right now she was a little out of it. Her fingers curled tighter around her lute and she took a deep breath "one" she muttered "two" let it out "three" she looked around again and squeeked out "hello all" in a suddenly timid voice.

Jace sensed Nanami's distress, and placed his hand on the top of her arm to try to calm her down. This made him uncomfortably aware of the scars that blinded his left eye. ___

Nanami looked up at Jace and smiled softly taking another deep breath. The touch was a welcome comfort, she was used to human contact, mostly from her mother but still any contact was welcome. "I'm okay" she said softly to him "thank you" she gave another soft smile and her lessened her grip on the instrument.

Deomi suddenly felt calm, she looked at the boy, "So Josh is your name? Well josh, If you ever want to be human again, you are just going to have to listen to me." Her aqua blue eyes were soft and gentle, "You need to calm down, just focus on breathing and make it slow down, you wolf-body breathes fater than your human one. you need to Think about your human self and relax." She rose unsteadily to her feet and walked toward Josh, unafraid. She reached out with her good arm and stroked the thick fur on the back of his neck and began humming softly.

Jace dropped his hand, shifting his hair out of his face for the first time since he met her. That revealed the ugly scars that covered the left side of his face completely, which was a mistake. He waited for her to comment on it. ___ Josh did as she said, listening to her soft humming. It soothed him quite a bit, but he still wasn't able to change back. He wasn't as scared anymore, nor was he panicked or angry. He was just...neutral.

pression, how was he not shifting back? She didnt know how she did it, it just happened, and it always got easier and easier. What if Josh was stuck like this forever?

Nanami looked at the scars for a moment, her ex
pression was curious and she wondered what had happened to him. She wanted to ask but didn't want to seem rude. For a moment she pondered what to say and finaly settled on "please don't think I'm trying to be rude or anything, I'm just curious, where did those scars come from? What happened?" she asked her voice somewhat back to normal but gentler than it had been.

Jace cleared his throat uncomfortably, and let the hair fall back over the left side of his face. "Well, it's a long story but..." He explained in a quiet, solemn voice about his parents; how they vented their anger at each other by beating him, burning him and whipping him. "Funny story," Jace said weakly, "This scar is actually from when my mom tried to strangle me with electric cords."

Josh's eyelids started to droop. He didn't want to go to sleep, and panic started to build, but he couldn't fight back the oncoming sleep. Finally, he p*censored*ed out cold.

Nanami felt her heart pull hearing her story. "How horrible" she whispered. All she had ever known from her mother was love and nurturing she could even begin to imagin the pain Jace had gone through. She resisted the urge she had to hug him and said "you're an amazingly strong person to live through all that, and to be able to talk about it." she squeezed onto her lute "sorry for bring up those memories" she said looking down.
