"Come on, its obvious this is no joke. They're still after us, and they're getting close."

Two figures were placed atop a hill, surrounded by open plains. On the horizon, a town was plain against the sky. The sun was high in the sky, but it didn't seem to bother either of the people. One, a young lady, sat on a huge rock, horns similar to that of a black Jaaku's protruding from her head. Her right hand was replaced by a Jaaku-like hand, the three blunt claws sharpened, but still capable of breaking bones. She wore a black long-sleeved shirt, despite the heat, the ends covering her human hand, and amost obscuring her claws, even. She had 'tattoos' around her yellow eyes like the markings around a black Jaaku's, and her hair hung to mid-back. She wore jeans, but instead of shoes or feet, there was just a misty smoke-like air about the bottom of her legs, obscuring what feet there may have been.

The other figure, a slightly older man, stood on the lookout, his eyes scanning the area around them. As he turned his head, his Kioka-like horns waved back and forth, the ribbons on them fluttering. His air was the bright pink of a Kioka's mane, and extended down his neck, presumably even down his back. He wore a white shirt, and a light blue jacket similar to that of a Kioka's fur. His eyes were bright pink and, like his company, he, too, bore the face markings of the Creatu he resembled. He wore cargo pants, zipped off at the knee to be shorts instead. From the knee down, his legs were like a Kioka's hind legs, hooves and all, and his knees were backwards like that of his Creatu. From just under his jacket, a ribbon extended, barely above the ground. He glanced back at his partner, snorting, almost.

"I know its not a joke, Enxuk. All the deaths blamed on splices--on us--are all the work of our hunters. Maybe we should just-"

The young woman, Enxuk, stood at that point. They'd been through this arguement before. She moved over in front of him, leaving no footprints. She crossed her arms, looking up to meet his gaze with hard eyes.

"No, we are not turning ourselves in. You don't know what would happen. I've been to where they'd take us. If they didn't kill us, that is. Which would be a better fate."

"But innocent people and Creatu are dying because of us."

"Then we draw them away from cities and towns and take them on."

"Turning ourselves in would be easier."

"No, it would not, Sutar, you don't get it! They'd torture us, run tests on us, run us to the ground!"

Their arguement went on, until finally Enxuk returned to sitting on her rock, her back to Sutar as she sulked. She'd won for now. But Sutar would bring it up again. He always did.

((Yer characters can find Sutar and Enxuk, or whatever. There are actually plenty of ways to respond to that.))

((I've been on, but I wasn't sure where to go from there. I think I have an idea now though. Ill bring my two in slowly.))

Rea shoved her way through the busy market, grumbling to herself. The air was thick and loud, a daunting tune floating in the air. She didn't know where it came from, but she didn't really care. It was hot, and she just wanted to finish the stupid shopping and get home. Actaully, she had no intention of going home, at least not for a while. She did want to finish shopping, though. All these people were giving her a headache.

Her wings twitched in annoyance as someone ran into her, and instinctively her hand went to the key around her neck. 

 "Hey, idiot! Watch where you're going!" She yelled at the stranger's back as he retreated into the crowd. Sighing, she beant down the gather her fallen bags and spotted a white figure, sitting off to the side of the crowds.

Curious, she made her way over and discovered a small, solid white tesuri sitting on the ground, playing a flute. Rea looked at him in amazement as she realized that this was where the music was coming from.

"Hey," She said softly, startingling the young boy to drop his flute and look up at her sharply. His eyes were large and light pink in color, and Rea gasped as she realized he was an albino, something she had never seen in person before. He quickly looked down at his bare feet,earrs twitching slightly. "It's okay!" she said quickly, feeling sympathetic for this small creature and slipping some tu into the almost empty hat laid out before him. 

As she turned around to go, a large hill surrounded by plains caught her eye. She had been here a handfull of times, but had never paid any attention to it. it looked somewhat out of place, beyond a busy, albeit small, town skyline. "What's out there?" She asked the other tesuri, who was back to playing the beautiful and slightly meloncholy music that filled the square. He looked at her and shrugged, momentarily stopping the music again.

"I don't know. No body knows. No one goes out there."

"Why?" Rea asked.

"They just don't." He said, and busied himself with his flute again. 

"Hm." Rea mused, looking up at the hill. "Maybe I'll be the first, then." and she started walking.

"No, wait!" cried the little tesuri. "I'll come with you."

Rea smiled as he caught up, and they continued walking towards the edge of town, together.

((I forgot to mention that Kokopelli and his very small family are quite poor.))
