As Ruka walked along, she listened to the woofs here and there in her head and shook herself. This wasn't something from a dream, but when she came upon Windrise Lake and a black wolf sitting there, staring up at the sky, she knew she had found her special someone. "Hey, what's up?" she woofed over in a friendly manner.

Zane shook his head at the repeating sights in his head from the encounter earlier. It was a white wolf, and she seemed familiar from someplace. That's when the thought struck him like lightning and he widened his eyes. She was one of his packmates who survived the cougar attack and he had noticed someone lurking right behind him. She couldn't have been following me for that long... he thought as he stumbled upon a tree and tripped over some roots. "Gah!" he sniffed and stood up, wondering who he would see next.
