Liwanu looked around the camp. He ran for the forest hoping his sister was there as well. Nit, where are you? he said in his mind. He kept running for the forest. He slipped behind the trees and sighed in relief. He was safe for a little bit. "Nita?" He asked slowly only to hear a growl. A growl? Where had that come from. She shook his head. He would be safe in the woods. Though there were some wild animals he would just kill them if they came across his path. He heard a small brook babbling not far off. He walked slowly over to it. At the end of the brook was a small pool. He needed some water. So he walked over to the pool and opened his eyes just about to take some water in his hands. When he looked into the still water a Bear stared back at him. He looked up, no bear. He waved his hand infront of the pool. A paw appeared. He raised his hand infront of his nose. A Paw?!? Where had a Paw come from. he looked back into the pool. A bear? "How Am I a bear?" He growled. Behind him he heard some rustling. He turned.

"Where am I?" Nita asked herself. She broke out from the bush she had been stuck in. She looked up. A large bear was standing right infront of her. It roared a little. "Nita?" It asked. She understood it just fine. "Uh," She said not knowing what to do. "Yeah," She nodded slightly. "I'm Nita" She said in a soft voice. The bear beckoned her. "nita!" it said, "Come look in the pool. Tell me what you see!" It said in a voice that made her want to obey it. She took a Step forward but stopped. "Is this some kind of future reading pool?" She asked. "cause, seriously? their not real." She told the bear. It shook it's head. "JUst come look!" Nita shook her head but walked up to the pool with her eyes close. She opened them. Two bears stared back at her. "Well, I see two bears" She told it. The bear nodded. "Isn't it weird that you see two bears and not just a human and a bear?" It asked. Nita looked up. "What are you getting at?" She asked. "Hold you hand infront of your face." It told her. She put her hand infront of her face still looking at the bear. "Whats the poin-?" she started to ask turning to her, well paw. "Paw?" She asked. "Is this some kind of witchery?" She asked. "You turned my into a paw." She said "This is stupid." She sighed. "Now if you dont mind me I'm going to have a drink." She looked back into the pool. The two bears still stared back. She tried to cup the water with her hands but her hands wouldn't come forward. She looked down at her arms. They were covered with black hair. "Ahh!" She cried. She jumped back looking at the bear. She looked into it's eyes. "LI?" She asked. the bear nodded. "you're a bear?" She asked her brother. He nodded. "And so are you" He told her.

A buffalo, nay, a white buffalo, lay in front of Tokala, seemingly lost in the forest. 'White buffalo woman,' the fox-girl breathed, twitching her ears with confusion. Spreading her forepaws in front of her the fox attempted to bow. 

'White buffalo woman, what are you doing in the forest, so far from the plains you call home?' Tokala as reverently, not realizing that this buffalo was only a girl like her, thought still the ancient deity.

[I know it's short, but since I've not got much to work with -flails-]

Anna held her head low with her ears pinned against her head as she made her way threw the bush aproaching the fox and white buffalo. 'This can't be happening' she thought a little hesitant to aproach any further. She let out a low growl as her eyes narrowed watching the fox attempt to bow to the white buffalo. Her tail flickered behind her as her gaze focused on the buffalo. It was odd to see a white one in the wild which meant this animal was sacred to her people. She went to open her mout to speak to the creature and address the fox but a small brown thing landed in front of her and bonked her nose with it's paw.

"Take that you stupid lion!" The small brown weasel nearly yelled standing on it's hind legs. Small squeeky laughs came from the weasel watching the golden lioness leap backwards out of suprise. Her fur fluffed up and she let out low snarls at the small creature. "I dare you to eat me!" the weasel taunted keeping his beady eyes on her. The small roden was obviously unaware of the buffalo and fox behind him since his main goal was to attack the lion.

"What are you doing!" Anna yelled as a loud snarl filled the air. Her claws had unleased as she neared the small weasel which was now wide eyed and backing up from the lion. "You...You can talk!" the weasel squeeked lowering to all fours. Anna paused reconizing that voice. "Sekko?" she asked lifting her head in a non-threatening manor. "Anna?" Sekko asked standing back up on his hind legs. "Your a mountain lion!" he snapped just staring in awe. "Well your a weasel!" she snapped sitting down wrapping her tail around herself. "Hey it's not nice to call your older brother names" he pouted. "No seriously Sekko. Your a weasel" she sighed rolling her eyes. "Huh?" He asked glancing down noticing a brown tail and little paws. "Oh my god i'm a weasel!" he yelled running around in circles causing Anna to giggle.

Nita heard voices not far off. "Li, lets go see who else is here" Nita said to him bounding toward the voices she had heard. She wanted to see others of her tribe. She couldn't stand it. She loved her brother but she couldn;t stand to be around him all the time.

Liwanu stood there for a second as his sister ran off. She was a little smaller that him. She shrugged and followed her. He wnated to see who else had survived. 

Soon Nit was in his sight again. He followed her quickly and quietly as he could. Occasionally he would step on a twig, or something, Nit would glare back at him. He could tell she wanted him to be quiet because they might find one of the white men instead of others from their tribe. He watched Nit struggle through a bush and tumble into a clearing. He stepped through it too. A Mountain Lion and A Weasel stood infront of them. "Great" He mumbled.

"What, I am just Aki and yes, I geuss I am a buffalo. Why haven't you attacked yet?" Aki wondered, finally getting back to her hooves. She steadied herself and gazed down at the little red fox. "Who are you?" She wondered..

((Gah! Short post..))

Strange smells woke her from her sleep. Cheyenne opened her eyes slowly and got up. She poked her head out of her tipee and frowned. "They're here," she muttered looking at the white men.

"We found another one," a white man shouted in her direction. She frowned and thought, 'Another what?"

"Horse!" One man started running towards her. "It's a big and pretty one, we could sell this mare for a pretty penny!"

'I'm no horse,' Cheyenne thought to herself. She looked down at her feet, which were now hooves. 'Oh, my god,' she tried to talk, but a neigh was all that came out.

The white men came towards her with ropes and oats. 'No, I don't think so,' she thought once more to herself before stampeding towards the men. Her hooves hit the ground and a few of the men's feet.

The men cursed at her and shook their fists, but she didn't see them. She was only focused on one thing, getting towards the woods.

Small crunching noises sounded as her feet hit the fallen leaves of the forest. 'This isn't what was supposed to happen.' She came across a small puddle and looked at her reflection. Sure enough, she was a horse.

Cheyenne stamped her foot on the ground in disbelief. 'This is just a bad dream, and in a few minutes, I'll wake up.' She layed down on the forest floor and stared at her reflection, waiting to wake up.

((Oh ok. And can humans hear them talk or is it like animal talk?))

 Mary sighed as her father came back. He looked all worn down. She was mad. So mad that she decited to look for Indians that have surrivived and help them out. She slowly climbed down the tree trying not to get seen by any one. All of a sudden her foot missed the branch. She tryed so hard to get it back up but instead she fell. She hit the ground hard. All Mary remembers was her brother Danny comming to her side and laughing as he said "We have black berry pie for you".

When Mart awoke she was laying on her bed staring at the white ciling above. "Danny?" She said in a weak voice. No answer, only the smell of black berry pie. She sat up slowly. "Danny!" She said louder but still weak. No answer. She stood up just to fall back on to her bed in pain. It was her ankle. It seemed to be sprained badly. She sat back up and tryed to walk. She slowly hopped to the end of the hall holding the wall for support. "Danny! Where are you!" She now Screamed. No Answer. She Limped into the kitchen. There was a note. Dear Mary, we have went to Petes house to see how the Indian thing worked out after they 'moved'. Be back soo, Family. Mary smiled to herself as she limped hurriedly to a back and stuffed a blanket, food and a compas in there. She threw the bag over her shoulded and took a slice of black berry pie and started writing. Dear mom, dad, and Danny. I am sorry I needed fresh air. Be back soon. Sont worrie. Love Mary. After she was done she limped off to where she over heard her dad saying the Indians where.

Danny imerged from behind the front door. "Mary, we are home!" He sang, smiling and running into her bedroom. His face went blank as he found out she was gone. He ran into the kitchen and read the note she had left. He laughed as he read it and put it back. He handed it to his parents as he packed for the journey that she was on. He came back to re-unite with his parents. "We need to go find Mary!" His dad said solid but with hurt. Danny shook his head. "No,its fine father, I will go after her." He was all smiled as his dad started to smile and nod. "Ok son!" He said as Danny kissed his mom on the head and shook his fathers hand. He waved and left out the front door.

Ooc:// Ummm. The humans can hear them talk but only in their mind. Telepathic talking.... only if the animal chooses for the person to hear. If it confuses you don't worry because I think I just confused myself. lol.

Animals can hear the other animals

Humans can hear the animals in their heads if the animal wishes them to.

'Attack?' the fox squeaked in wonder, scrambling backwards in surprise. Pointed ears flat on her head the tiny carnivore gave the buffalo a strange look. 'I could no more do any harm to you than a tree, or bear,' she stated in her high-pitched voice, baring her teeth in a fox laugh.

Tail fluffed up like a bottle-brush Tokala was definitely afraid. Would you believe that I never thought of my name before now, she mused ruefully. It means fox in Dakota, so this seems so...appropriate. And I don't feel as scared now, just very, very, very confused.

Black beady eyes didn't stray from the buffalo, but her keener ears picked up the sound of talking from farther away, and plenty of rustling noises. 'You know,' she began slowly. 'I don't think we're the only ones.'
