Faile bristled to hear of the cruelty. "I apologize for the action of that woman, Scott," she said softly. "Could you give me her name, please? I would like for us all to be prepared to meet her again." Melody wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

  "I'm sorry, Mr. Scott," she said, eyes vengeful in the way only a child can be. "Faile and Eri and Llew and Garrett will make sure she doesn't hurt anyone again!" She looked around the room at the adults, expecting agreement.

"I believe her name was Isadora, but my memory has become faded over the years. Still, I think I would remember one I loved so much." He warmed toward Melody, squeezing her a little. "It's alright little lady. I have recovered since then, and have ceased to carry it in my heart." Llew touched his dauhter's head gently, smiling. "Of course we will." Eirian glanced to Faile and Nicole, worry in her eyes mirroring into Nikki's, though her voice remained sure. "That's right. No one hurts our amily."

Scott caught the looks, forehead creasing. "Is there someth-" Nikki stopped him with a glance, shaing her head. "It's nothing we womenfolk can't handle." Llew grinned bitterly, holding Faile against him as she leaned back. He, too, had caught the looks in the womens' eyes, but was wise enough to assume that it was not something he would want to be privvy to, and be able to plead ignorance of later. Understanding the ex
pression Scott nodded, sharing in it. "Oh, you women. I trust whatever issue this is can't be too big for the three of you combined. After all, you are the stronger sex here."

Seeing that look on Faile's face Nikki shuddered, recognizing it from the many times her mother had used it on her ex boyfriends. Scott nodded, setting Melody gently on the ground before rising. "That would be spectacular, actually."

With a wry grin Lleweloth took his daughter's hand, and began the scenic tour of the hollow, beginning with the Hall of Portraits. After Scott showed his immense interest in history and art alike, Llew dove into a deeper explanation of each one, giving backgrounds. Eri and Nikki went at once to Faile, gazes sharp and alert. Nikki looked furious, and the usually calm and cheerful Eirian barely hid her contempt behind a cool, calloused mask, her voice low.

"Something a touch more serious must be done to make repairations for this."

"I... don't even know." At Nikki's words both she and Eirian deflated, sighing. "She's right. I don't know the first thing about being mean. All I can do is unflattering gossip. And all Nikki can do is outright physical damage. We're hopelessly bad at being anything other than kind and gentle."

(( I'm actually quite a witch, when I have to be. I'm better at insults than maliciousness though. Hmmm... I think I have an Idea. Time to invent another random Farie Ritual!))

  Faile gave the other two a strained smile. "Why do I feel like you are implying that I am less than kind and gentle? Ah well. I believe that it is time to do some campaining. It is time that that evil queen and her daughter are disposed of. We shall see what the opinion of the court in general is, then we shall invoke the Right of Family."

Eirian smiled, the laugh in her eyes turning the slightest touch wicked at the mention of that old tradition. "Oh, you are a wicked one. That is why you're the brains." Nikki looked from one to the other, confusion obvious on her face. Finally her gaze settled on Faile, pleading. "Aw, c'mon, guys. Don't leave me in the dark on this. What's the Right of Family, and how in blue blazes will it help us?"

  Faile shared Eirian's smile, though hers was a bit more malicious. "It is forbidden in the courts for a member of the Sidhe to directly harm a member of another's family unless attacked. If judged guilty by the Court majority, the perpetrator can be cast from the Seelie court and condemned to the Unseelie. I propose that we subject Isadora to this kind of trial."

((Haha. I write all kinds of original stuff. Have twenty or thirty lying around that I've never finished. I have to do SOMETHING to make them go again after years.))

  Faile took a little bow, her evil smile still in place. "I do try, sisters. Now. To which members of the Court should we make our appeal? On this, I must bow to you, Eri. You have far superior knowledge of which in the court would be sympathetic to our cause."
