[Amused ear? o.o] [And you need to answer on the Shifter RP. ^o^] "It wouldn't be right," he grumbled irritatedly. "She's my half-sister, and so is Blackfang. Being a doting queen is Dawnwhisper's job!" Scratching his ears in a dejected silence he gave Kestrelwing a small glare. -- Shrugging indifferently the ginger warrior on grinned smugly. "Don't be such a sour cat all the time, Bramblepaw," she meowed. "Or else your face will freeze like that!" she cautioned with a mreowr of laughter. -- "Right," Webpaw murmured sleepily, and shut his eyes hoping he would get more sleep. THere was no way he'd be able to function tomorrow without it. -- Yawning, Marshpaw closed his eyes and was soon asleep. [First of all, I'm ashamed by Marshpaw for being so non-interesting, and secondly, time skip? I made a bad move by starting the RP at night. xD]

The shuffling of the other apprentices around the den as some awoke, Silentpaw itched to claws some ears. He'd had a bad enough night, thick fur keeping in the heat and making him feel as if his fur was melting off, and the twitching or snoring of the other apprentices. How he hated younger cats, even if he was one. They were either to cheery, to hyper, or to loud for his liking. Well, except Starpaw, but he was his brother so that did not really count. Curling his long tail closer to himself in the hoped of blocking some of the noise, he hissed in irritation as some other cat accidentally rubbed the fur on his shoulder the wrong way while walking by. Keep calm Silentpaw, and maybe Goldwhisker will be in a decent enough mood to teach us a battle move beyond my experience. The thought made him grin just slightly. Finally giving up on going to back to sleep, the brown tom slipped from the den, not really caring if he stepped on paws, tails, or ears if they were in his way, and halted at the front of the den. Some cats were up and about, though luckily not enough that the camp felt over crowed like it did at about sun-high. Wish some of these apprentices would just go away. He thought in annoyance, casting a cold glare towards the den he just exited. Knowing his wishes would not be answered, he drew his front paws out in front of him in a long stretch, jaws gaping in a yawn. Some cracked on the inside of his mouth and a small twinge of pain lanced its way along the bottom bone of his jaws. Opening and closing his mouth, the tom cursed his mother and father, not for the first time, about having kits at their young age. It was their fault he was weak in the mouth and that his brother was forced to give up a warrior life he so badly wanted because he was so weak and tiny. Huffing, he trotted over to a small shady spot and began to groom his sweat matted fur. --- The noises from outside the Medicine Cats den did not disturb Starpaw in the least. Actually he was quite happy to hear his clan mates up and about, even though they were grump or grumbling. It meant they were alive and ready to start the day with no illnesses or wounds that he or Yarrowpelt would have the deal with. Speaking of his mentor, he looked around for the older tom, wanting to ask him to best remedy in case a cat became heat exhausted. He was worthless as a warrior, so he did not want to fail as a medicine cat. Muttering, he poked his head from the den in hopes of finding his mentor but swiftly ducked back inside as a familiar ginger pelt p*censored*ed by. The tiny toms eyes flashed with annoyance at the sight of the cat who sired him. He refused to call Fallenbane father, seeing as he went outside the warriors code by falling on love with that rouge and having given the up when things got hard. A sneer rose on his face. As far as he was concerned Falconwing was his mother, not some young rouge she-cat. Huffing, he licked his suddenly bristling pelt down flat in case some cat came in and asked what was wrong,. He was not sure how many knew he was only half clan cat, and prayed to Starclan that if they did find out, they would not think less of him then they already did. Sighing, he once more looked out, this time for a cat who was not Yarrowpelt. Sometimes he wished his brother was as nice as some of the other apprentices, instead Silentpaw was bitter and cold. It would be nice to have a cat he could talk to about his 'fitting in' problems. --- ((I'll post my other characters soon.))

[[Erm, shifter RP? I'm currently not in any, Det.]] Nightpaw blinked awake. Sunlight was streaming into the apprentice's den, as she realized she must have overslept a little. Poking her head out of the den, Nightpaw flicked her tail, satisfied. A few warriors and apprentices were already out, but at least she wasn't the last. She flicked her gaze over to Webpaw and Marshpaw. Hesitating, Nightpaw gently jabbed both of them. "Wake up. It's morning, and if you two don't get up, Redclaw and Stormclaw will have your ears off!" She warned, retreating to the mouth of the apprentice's den. --- "Kestrelwing is right, Bramblepaw!" Mudswirl purred in amusement. "Nobody wants a stiff and grumpy apprentice! That should be our job." He looked up at the sky. "Ah, it's morning already." He said, noticing the rising sun. "Looks like the other apprentices are waking up." He commented, flicking a glance over at the apprentice's den, where there were dark shapes already moving around.

[Accepted Eastie-luff. 8D I'll add her when I get the chance.] The ferns rustled gently as a small brindled she-cat padded out of them. Swinging her head from side to side, she checked her surroundings before hurrying towards the Medicine Cat's den, limping slightly. Eyes glowing dimly in the light, Brindlepaw struggled forwards as quickly as she dared, already feeling the blood-soaked piece of cobweb on her foreleg coming off. Pausing only to lick the blood off her pale fur that was spilling out from underneath the bandage, she gave a scared look around the dark clearing. I hope no one notices, she thought anxiously. As she neared the Medicine Cat's den she could feel the fur at the back of her neck rise up in anxiety, her blue eyes wide in the darkness. Please don't let it be Yarrowpelt there, she thought, a tide of fear rising up inside her, threatening to burst from her mouth in a wordless yowl. "Hello?" she meowed gently, peeking around the corner of the den. Eyes still adjusting to the near darkness, the small apprentice couldn't tell if another cat was inside.

[Sorry. I meant the Corruption Experiment. O^O] "Right," Bramblepaw meowed in a non-confirmative way, his usual way of answering any cat when he was in need of a plain and simple answer that would end the conversation quickly and effectively. Glancing around for Daywish he let out a small sigh of impatience. "Have you seen Daywish yet?" he mewed to Mudswirl curiously; tail flicking slightly from side to side with annoyance. I suppose I'm not the most patient cat even at the best of times, he thought, looking down at his paws studiously. -- “Right, but I’m not the only one who overslept,” he mewed good-naturedly, prodding a snuffling Dustpaw with his foreleg, none to gently at that. Leaping back when the ornery she-cat growled and slashed at him with one paw he gave out a nervous mreowr of laughter. “Feisty,” Webpaw mewed from his own nest, flicking his brother’s ear with his tail. “But do your best not to anger Dustpaw, you know how Brindlepaw gets about the ‘bullying’.” The tom-cat opened his jaws wide and felt his bones and muscles creak and crack as he stretched out and gave a long and loud yawn. “Not the best sleep,” Marshpaw commented idly, licking his flank with an intense concentration to rid it of the sweat and dirt that had gathered overnight. -- His gaze flickering over the awakening camp he noticed a small figure detach itself from the apprentice’s den and pad over to a tree. “Finish your meal, Goldenbrook,” he meowed amicably. “I have to go check on Silentpaw.” Slipping off the rock that he and the she-cat had been perched on, he made his way past Mudswirl, Kestrelwing and Blackfang to Silentpaw, meowing a greeting to the small apprentice. “How was your sleep?” the large golden warrior asked curiously. [Pretend Dustpaw and Brindlepaw never went on the hunt with Kestrelwing and Blackfang. xD]

Breathing out in relief when Nightpaw sensed that the two were not as grumpy as the night before, Nightpaw sat down and waited for the two of them. "Come on, you two." She said, flicking her tail impatiently. "Growlheart wouldn't be too happy with me either if I wake up after him." She twitched a whisker in amusement when Dustpaw swiped at Webpaw. A sleepy apprentice is not something to trifle with. She thought, thinking of the night before again. --- Goldenbrook nodded obediently, bending down to finish up the prey. When it was reduced to nothing but bones, she leapt down to follow Goldwhisker, only to stop by the small group of warriors. "Oh, hello, Mudswirl, Kestrelwing and Blackfang." She mewed pleasantly. --- Mudswirl twitched his ear in greeting. "I see you have full belly already, Goldenbrook." He commented, noticing a whisp of brown mouse fur in her paw. "Lucky. I want some prey. Now." Mudswirl looked around. "Well, who wants to go hunting with me, then?" He asked, eager to fill his belly.

"Ugh," Kestrelwing groaned, giving Mudswirl an unforgiving look. "I just hunted all night. I'm headed off to my nest. You can bother Blackfang. In fact, please, do so. And leave me alone." Turning around the ginger she-cat waved goodbye with her tail before padding off in the direction of the warrior cat's den, her body seeming to sag with tiredness. -- Rolling his eyes towards the sky Blackfang gave a curt nod. "Fine, fine," he grumbled, and gave a stern glare towards Bramblepaw. "Go find your mentor Bramblepaw," he meowed. "I' m quite sure that Fallenbane is not a warrior to be trifled with. -- Squeaking slightly at the mention of his mentor Bramblepaw scrambled to his paws and padded off as quickly as he could, heading in the general direction of the warrior's den, brown fur fluffed up with anxiety.

"I'm up now anyways," Dustpaw hissed as she scrambled out of her soft nest. No matter how much trouble her fluffy fur gave her, it still provided a comfortable bed for herself, even if she nearly roasted while she was sleeping. Cuffing Marshpaw on the head, this time catching his ear, the she-cat huffed and padded over to Nightpaw, obviously ignoring the two toms. -- Grinning haplessly, Marshpaw nudged his brother before him as he shook his fur before heading over to Nightpaw. [Fail, but there's not much to do right now. xD]

[[Uhm, Det, can either Marshpaw or Webpaw later crush on Nightpaw? c: Or I can make Nightpaw crush on either of them. I just can't decide, since I suppose all the apprentices have the same relationship right nowa xD]] "You didn't have to give Bramblepaw such a fright, Blackfang." Goldenbrook pointed out. "I'll go too, Mudswirl." She wanted to make up to the Clan by returning with a mouthful of prey. "We'll go together as a group!" She flicked a glance over at the warrior's den, wondering if they should ask Crowdance. --- "He needed a bit of un-stiffening anyway." Mudswirl said, though his eyes were sparkling with amusement. "Alright, you're joining us, right, Blackfang?" He asked, wanting a confirmation. Blackfang seemed rather grumpy today, but then again, Mudswirl was unknowingly the most cheerful cat in the Clan, and somewhat irritating. --- Nightpaw gave Dustpaw a friendly flick of a tail. "Toms, right?" She asked, her whiskers twitching with amusement. "Come on, you two. Dustpaw and I are going to leave you two here if you're going to laze all day."

[Lolol, Marshpaw. Sorry, it just...clicks. xD] "Do you think Crowdance wants to get up now?" Blackfang meowed, amusement coloring his normally sombre tone. "Afterall, he's probably tired from not getting any sleep in the warrior's den. I know I didn't. It's why I chose to go hunting with Kestrelwing." -- Nodding in agreement with a mischievous smirk glittering in her blue eyes, Dustpaw flicked her tail and pointed it towards the exit of the den. "You two are getting as slow as badgers. You shouldn't take so much prey each mealtime," she teased gently. -- Growling at her remark Webpaw shouldered past Dustpaw with a small glare. "Uh huh?" He muttered in her ear as he pa-ssed, no doubt offended by her small comeback. Shrugging his shoulders Marshpaw gave Dustpaw and NIghtpaw a sorrowful glance. "He's touchy, I suppose," he apologized in a soft mew, giving Nightpaw a strange look.

"What?" Nightpaw asked, noticing the look Marshpaw gave her. "I don't pas-s around my bad moods, thank you very much." She twitched her ear and gazed outside, where the sunny grounds looked extremely inviting. "Let's go now, shall we?" She asked, flicking her tail and padding out, matching Webpaw's pace. She paused and waited for Dustpaw and Marshpaw. --- Crowdance, still inside the warrior's den, blinked open his eyes and checked the den. It was almost empty, as Crowdance heaved himself off his feet. He stalked out of the den, feeling strange when his black pelt stood out in the morning sun. He saw a group of warriors bunched up in the clearing. Crowdance padded up to them, easily picking out Mudswirl's brown pelt. "Good morning, you three." Crowdance mewed, addressing Mudswirl, Blackfang and Goldenbrook. "What're you doing?" --- Mudswirl swivelled his head around when he heard his brother's meow. "Oh, good morning, Crowdance." He replied pleasantly. "We're going out hunting, if that's alright." He added the last part hastily. Crowdance gave his brother a look of indifference. "S'alright with me." He said, nodding at them and padding off. --- Goldenbrook nodded her head in acknowledgement when Crowdance came, and turned her attention to Mudswirl when he left. "So, where are we going to hunt?" She asked, twitching her tail in anticipation.

Looking up from the small mouse that had recently became his meal, Fallenbane scowled slightly as his apprentice padded over, clearly looking for someone. Getting to his paws, he was pretty sure she was looking for her mentor, him, by the slightly panicky look to her eyes. Glowering as he walked over, he flicked her ear with his tail none to gently. "I was starting to wonder if you were going to sleep all day and forget about your duties." He muttered, amber eyes slit. "At least your not as bad a some, I suppose." Turning he pointed with his nose to the fresh-kill pile. "If you have not eaten yet I suggest you do it now, else wise we're going hunting for a portion of the day then going to work on your stalking technique the rest." Trotting over to the entrance, he sat there and waited. --- Poking her head from the warriors den, Daywish yawned widely, feeling fit and ready to start the long day. Glad she was not long furred like some who tended to soak up the heat, the warm temperatures did not both her to badly. Going to the fresh-kill pile she swiftly chose a piece of prey to eat, knowing Bramblepaw would be earing to go soon. Sometimes I wonder who's the mentor, me or him. She mused lightly, finishing with a quick swipe of her tongue around her muzzle. "Would you prefer hunting or battle techniques today ?" She asked her apprentice, trotting over.

[Oops, mistook Brindlepaw for Bramblepaw. Blackfang is officially talking about Daywish. xD] Speeding up his slow pace Marshpaw soon caught up with his fellow apprentices, though Dustpaw still lagged behind, yawning. Grinning at her and flicking his tail to get her to hurry up he took his place beside Nightpaw, on her other side. Padding to the other side of Nightpaw, Webpaw shot his nestmate a glare, though it softened at the look of utter adoration that came across Marshpaw’s every time he looked at Nightpaw. ~:~:~ Rolling her eyes at Marshpaw, Dustpaw sat down defiantly and licked her flank, flattening her fluffy fur. “I’ll catch up,” she meowed loudly in their general direction. ~:~:~ Sighing Bramblepaw padded up to his mentor. “What are we doing today?” he meowed quietly, giving her a dull look. It was too hot out to do anything, even with his short fur he still trapped the heat well with his black-striped fur, an unlucky coincidence in this heat. ~:~:~ At the noise of her mentor behind her, Brindlepaw fell back shocked. “I uh…” she mumbled in a confused tone, feeling more blood seep out of her makeshift bandage. “Yes Fallenbane,” the small apprentice mewed meekly, cowering under his gaze, watching him stalk off angrily after a few moments.

[[...Mrr D: If schoolwork really does come down hard on me, which I predict it will soon, I may have to quit lots of my RPs x.x ]] Nightpaw noticed the looks the two brothers gave each other. "Lighten up, you two." She said in a teasing voice, flicking her tail. "Come on, let's go look for our mentors." Nightpaw got up, waiting eagerly for Dustpaw, Webpaw and Marshpaw. [[Tch. Mudswirl, Iceweb, Goldenbrook and Crowdance are sort of stuck. ]]
