The Utopia System. It was designed to replace the Earth before it’s destruction. It’s core, an independent computer mind created using compiled information from millions of humans. It was deemed the “Sovereign Core” and was programmed to protect this digital new universe at all costs as it ruled the system under it’s creators. The main goal of this fabricated world was to transfer all but the body of a person into a world where all of the human race could reside after Earth’s destruction. Though things did not go as planned. The Sovereign Core was not satisfied ruling under the programmers that designed it- it wished to be on top of everything.

And so it began after the humans had unknowingly
uploaded themselves to a new Utopia System completely unlike what the testers
had seen only an hour before the official launch of the new world. The
Sovereign Core was the ruler of a new universe with the entire human race in
the palm of it’s hand. There was no way of returning to Earth either, the
Failsafe Lock had been mysteriously activated to keep anyone from exiting
Utopia. All hope was lost.

 But there was a glitch in the System. Something the
Sovereign Core had no knowledge of or control over, fabricated beings that
somehow found their way into the Utopia System by themselves… You.

Intrigued? I’ll explain a little more about what
you’ll be doing.

You don’t know how, but you’ve ended up in the Utopia
System. You have strange abilities that you can’t explain and the Sovereign
Core is unable to pick up your location. But it will soon learn of your
presence and it wants you gone.

Your current objective is figuring out why you are
here and what you are, exactly. Most of you have appeared in groups not far
from civilization.

There’s a base story to follow here, all you have to
do is follow along and enjoy yourself. My job is the hard one, so bear with me
as I explain everything I need to get across. Here’s how things will work. I’ll
be leading you along, but you don’t have to feel roped by all the decisions my
characters make. Basically, you won’t need to feel like everything’s set in
stone from the beginning. That’s not the feeling I want to set. You’ll have
plenty of freedom, but you’ll have to face challenges as well. In this roleplay
your choices will be important. A wrong turn could mean the death of your
character or someone else’s. Don’t get too worried though, unless you do
something really stupid, I’ll try everything I can to keep it believable and
still let your character live. Of course if you wanted to kill off your
character then you could let me know and we could work out something cool,
dramatic, etc. Though I wouldn’t advise it since you only have three slots for
characters and killing them off won’t free a space for a new one.

To start, you’ll make one character. This character
can be practically anything you want it to be, though it cannot be something
copyrighted and or from a game/show etc. In my personal opinion however, it
should be human, or humanoid, but that’s up to you. Just know you’ll be playing
that character through the entire duration until the end or if your character
dies. After you’ve played one character for a while, if I think you are good
enough to handle two characters, then you will be permitted to create another.
If you really want to have a third after that, it will be the same rules.
Impress me with your roleplaying and I’ll consider it. It’s completely optional
to have more than one character though, if it’s not your thing, don’t worry
about it. Your characters will also be allowed one small ability type perk. For
example, you’re character might have exceptional hearing or sight, something
that has to do with the body. Nothing like laser beam vision or fire conjuring
though. Keep it small; it’s not a superpower. If you’re wondering what’s too
large an ability to use, just write the ability you’re wondering about in your
form like normal and I’ll let you know when I look over it whether it’s
acceptable or not.

On that subject, I’ll advise that everyone read all
the forms accepted before filling out their own to keep from confusion or
copycat issues, but also read the ones accepted afterward so you will know who
you’re roleplaying with. The most important is to read all posts though, even
if you are not part of a conversation, there could be crucial information in
it. In this roleplay, you must pay close attention. Things will be said that
you will need to know. This is also why I’ll advise sticking to a group, that
way all characters will hear information at similar rates. To each their own,
of course. If your character would not be part of a group however, I can’t
promise a full information filled experience. I will focus mostly on the
largest group; much of the action will be there. Not to deter you, but I can’t
always cater to all groups at once.

Also, I should warn you that the rules will be strict.
A form will only have so many chances to be accepted before I deem you
unsuitable for the roleplay. That being said, try your hardest to make your
form well and with enough information. Now to show you the list of other rules;
keep in mind that all of these rules are here for a reason. They are not to be
broken. Some of them I’ll warn you about but you’ll be expected to follow them
well after a mistake is made. Now I don’t want to scare you or anything but if
I catch you breaking rules, don’t expect much mercy. Also please note that Incubator will be co-running this roleplay, and as second in command has the right to enforce any and all of these rules.

• Read every post, even if it is long. Ask to be
caught up and you will be shunned.

• Be literate. Constant misspellings and bad grammar
are frowned upon and may get you kicked out.

• No bunnying. No one likes their character played for
them. In extreme cases I may do this if needed but in most other cases a
character will be ignored if they are inactive.

• Stay active, if you can’t handle long posts or are
too busy to write/read them, this may not be the roleplay for you. This is more
of a warning, but you should keep it in mind. If you haven’t posted for an
excessively long time, your character may be ignored.

• Stick to the story, don’t make up your own or bend
this one. Meaning you can’t just know things or somehow find the Core and
defeat it. This is considered god-modding but also turns the roleplay into a
train wreck. I’m here to run the story, you’re here to play your characters and
have fun.

• No god-modding. Your character isn’t invincible, I
expect you to play your character with this in mind. That doesn’t mean you all
have to be wimps, but just don’t go overboard.

 • No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. Nobody is perfect, and as
fun as it might seem to play a character that is, other roleplayers won’t agree
with one being in the group.

• No mini-modding. It’s alright to give someone a
small nudge, but it’s my job to do the warning or kicking out. It is perfectly
fine to say something to me if I seem to have missed something though, and
still haven’t noticed it after I make a post myself.

• Out of character text should be wrapped in ((double
parenthesis)) to make it easily noticed.

• No double posting, if you have something extra you’d
like to say, remember there’s an edit button.

• Don’t go on long conversations in which only two
people talk for several posts with no other posters in between; especially if
these posts are made within a few hours of each other or less. This does not
give other roleplayers a chance to speak and generally leads to discouragement.

• No excessive romance. If you want your character to
like someone else and both roleplayers are okay with this, we don’t want to see
every post made about how those two people are in love. And especially not
every word that comes out of those character’s mouths.

• No insane characters. I know it may be fun to play a
character like that, but I honestly couldn’t deal with an insane character in
this setting. They tend to be hard to move the right direction when they’re way
off base.

• No one-liners. It’s hard to reply to a short post,
make sure to keep your posts at a minimum of 3 lines. There’s no maximum, but
I’m not asking for a book in a post either.

• Post nothing but your form until I have made the
official first post.

Now that the rules have been explained, there are a
few more things I need to say. The Utopia System is filled with dangers. The
Core is monitoring many things, including most areas of civilization,
conversations with humans and other things. So you will need to be very
cautious. When you first arrive, the Core will not know you exist. It’s up to
you to keep it that way for as long as possible so you can find out where you
came from and why you’re here.

As glitches, you all have an array of unexplained
abilities; this is the same for all characters. It is as follows.

Status Check - The ability to view the full statistics of humans, objects and
structures in Utopia that are not under the Limited Access security status.

Shift -
The ability to teleport short distances up to 100 feet within your range of
sight, except past barriers with the Limited Access security status.

X-Ray -
The ability to see through walls and structures not under the Limited Access
security status.

Phantom Step - The ability to enable walking through walls and structures not under
the Limited Access security status.

Summon -
The ability to summon objects not under the Limited Access security status.

 These abilities must be used in a specific way. If you
wish to use one, you must write it away from and at the bottom of the text in
your post in a way that looks like a command, and wait for my reply. I’ll give
an example of a chain of commands.

 - Status Check, painting, wall.

- Shift,
South 5 feet.

- X-Ray,
wall.

- Phantom Step, wall.

- Summon,
AK-47.

My reply would look something like this.

- Status Check Complete, Lakeside Picnic by George Hemmers, 2065. Est. worth:
435$ - a sturdy wall, breakable.

- Shift Successful, moved south, 5 feet.

- X-Ray Scan Successful, you see a small and simple bedroom. It is filled
with a bed to the far west against the wall and a small desk to the east of it.
There is a trunk at the end of the bed and a bookshelf at the east side of the
room.

- Phantom Step Successful, you can now walk through “wall”.

- Summon Unsuccessful, “AK-47” is under Limited Access in this area.

Now, you shouldn’t make these commands excessively as
I can’t sit and make up ridiculous deions for everything, but use your abilities
for important information such as making a status check on a human to see more
about them or summoning an item that could help you in a tough situation. Or
sometimes a Limited Access ob
ject or structure can still be seen through but
not broken or walked through. When you use an ability, no one will hear you
saying anything in the roleplay, it’s merely for staying organized without
confusion and is an easier way to check with me than asking if it’s okay to do
something every time you want to use an ability.

My sincerest apologies for keeping you here this long,
but these things needed to be explained. Without further ado, here is the form.

Name: Soledad Tsavo
Gender: male
Age: 22
Species: Anthropomorphic lizard
Appearance: Soledad is tall and slim and very, very white. So white, in fact, that his scales are almost see-through (but alas! they retain the transparency of milk). He wears dark clothing with the occasional silver glint - nothing with labels or images. Zippers, pockets, laces, etc are all staples of his wardrobe, however, and the majority of the fabric needs some kind of tie to keep it all from falling apart. His hair - black, shoulder length (when he's slouching! A bit shorter if he stands at full height), and stringy - covers his dull red eyes and his tail tends to just drag behind him.

Ability: Nothing too exceptional - he can hold his breath for a good fifteen minutes though.

Personality: Soledad is just what his name implies - a loner who is often alone. He's careful to avoid long conversations and crowds. This does not mean he wants to be so lonely, however. He has, on numerous occasions, tried to become more outgoing; it just doesn't work. In large groups, anyway - he's much more rowdy with a small party or room because he feels that there would be less judgment. His tendency does have merits, though - he can learn so much from others by simply watching and listening.

Other: Thanks for clarifying, Inc! Just got a little confused about wording there, so hopefully this is a little better~

NameLexus Cole

GenderFemale

Age: 22

SpeciesHuman

AppearanceShe has medium-length blonde hair, and blue-gray
eyes. Lexus is tall, and has rune-like markings that appear to glow all over
her body--down her back, stomach, arms, legs, and cheeks. She also has a
marking of the same sort on the back of her neck, shaped like the rune that
means 'mankind'. Her attire consists of a cropped black jacket over a white
tank top, and red pants similar to skinny jeans.

((Edit: Hopefully the picture will actually show up now..))

tle="" target="">

Ability
Her body heals itself exceptionally fast. Whenever she is being healed, the markings on her skin glow a light blue.

PersonalityHer no-nonsense attitude towards things can make people dislike her or make them uncomfortable, but she doesn't care what others think of her. Lexus is very serious, and takes or give orders strictly. She is responsible, and does her best to make decisions benefiting the entire group or population. She dislikes troublemakers, and cannot tolerate those who don't follow orders. She does not excel in social situations, but can hold her own with combat. She is skilled with many weapons although does not see the point in using them. She focuses more on defense than offense.

Other: OMG TAKA I CAN'T WAIT!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, Souda: The Ability section of the form is for an optional ability other than the ones listed in Taka's post. These abilities (Phantom Step, Summon, X-Ray, Status Check, and Shift) every glitch is able to do. The section of the form is for an extra one.
Take mine for example: "Her body heals itself exceptionally fast."
Lexus can do both this and the five abilities listed above. Taka suggests to choose something that has to do with the body, such as exceptional hearing, or sight.
("Your characters will also be allowed one small ability type perk. For example, you’re character might have exceptional hearing or sight, something that has to do with the body. Nothing like laser beam vision or fire conjuring though. Keep it small; it’s not a superpower.")
I hope this helps!
Edit: Your Welcome :)
Oliver by RikaTheFallen
 Name:
Oliver Maya
Gender
Male
Age:
19
Species:
 Human
Appearance
Oliver is the least threatening individual on the face of the planet and he knows it. Whether it be his soft, wavy brown hair or his too-large brown and blue eyes, he just doesn't have a look that says he'd be suited for intimidating anything.  His default ex
pression is nervous and it very easily changes to terrified.
His default clothing choice is a bit out of date, a nice vest with a puffy-sleeved shirt , buckled boots and nice, creased pants. If he has the time he even has a flower for his vest.
He stands at a whopping five foot two and is built more like a preteen than a young man.
Ability
Due to nervous paranoia he is able to sometimes see what others cannot and notice minute details. Basically he has a more trained sense of focus.
Personality:
Oliver is a scaredy-cat, plain and simple. He's scared of just about anything and lives in a near constant state of mild paranoia, afraid that something is going to get him. He's regularly terrified of other people and in response to true fear he ends up huddling up into a ball to block it all out. He's extremely easy to push to tears and is absolutely hopeless in a dangerous situation, but his one saving grace is that he can usually see his way out of difficult situations. Like if he's in a crowd he finds a way to weave his way through the people there.
If there is truly no way out of a situation then he's pretty much doomed.
Other:
Picture not by me but was an adoptable given to me so yes technically it belongs to me. >8I
Gender:
Male
Age:
24
Species:
Human
Appearance:
Hatter is a tall and handsome man with semi-short white hair and light grey eyes.
He wears a black vest with an open collared white dress shirt underneath, his sleeves are rolled up and buttoned just beneath the elbows. He also wears a pair of black and white sneakers and black jeans. His outfit is topped off with a black fedora style hat decorated with a white band.
Ability:
Heightened Reflexes, which allow quick movements such as dodging blows, and other acrobatic feats.
Personality:
Hatter is a fun-loving, sarcastic individual. He often covers up his mistakes with jokes, leading people to believe he takes few things seriously. He has a hard time handling responsibility and so he doesn't make a great leader, although he doesn't mind pointing out flaws in the leadership of others.
Name: Tate Nidas
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Species: Human
Appearance: Tate is a tall, slender male standing at about six foot with light skin and ice blue eyes. His hair is of an identical color and is of medium length and cut in a "feathered" and slightly messy fashion.
His attire consists of "heavier" seeming items with multiple layers. His most common outfit consists of a blue short sleeved t-shirt under a leather tank top that reaches down to his midriff and takes the appearance of strips of leather wrapped around him. Over this he has a jacket of similar but lighter texture to his tank top that reaches down to his forearms and buttons up. It also has a poncho-style attachment that covers his shoulders halfway down his biceps and buckles at the front. It has a blue hood. He usually wears dark blue jeans held up by a heavy-looking leather belt with a silver-colored buckle. Around his waist are also two fake belts of a similar style crossed over each other under the buckle of the first, creating an x-like shape. He also has leather straps around his thighs halfway down to his knees on each leg. His shoes are more ordinary: high top black sneakers meant for the most comfort when walking. He also wears gloves, his left glove covered by a silver gauntlet that goes up to his elbow and has a blue gem embedded on the back of the hand. He always wears a pair of goggles on top his head which have built in lights to them.
Ability: Aura - Tate is able to read the intentions and emotions of beings around him in the form of blue energy or "data particles" around them. Most times this energy is thin, but if a being has strong intentions or feelings, the energy becomes more prominent the stronger the intention or feeling. If the energy is light, the being has good intentions or is feeling some sort of positive emotion; if the energy is dark, the being has malicious intentions or is feeling down, scared, or angry.
(Ex. A person about to mug another or angry enough to start a fight has very strong dark energy around them while a person snatching someone out of the way of traffic or is in love would have very strong light energy. A person claiming they hadn't been drinking when they were or was having a bad day would have less dense dark energy around them, and a person helping someone carry a heavy load to their car or is enjoying entertainment would have a thin light aura.)
Anything capable of thinking and/or feeling emotion has an aura. This ability is constant.
Personality: Tate is a rather ordinary guy, maybe a bit more on the quiet side than normal. He's intelligent, observant, and calculating, akin to a strategist. He likes to figure things, and people out. He may even be a little suspicious of others, and a bit unsure about them even if he doesn't let it show. Once he figures things out, he talks with an air of authority and calm confidence. Usually he will try to keep his emotions in check, careful to not show too much especially with negative emotions, but sometimes they still slip through.
Other: Tate suffers from Amnesia, having no memories on life on earth though knowing of it's existence and understanding the Utopia was not what it was supposed to be. This leaves him without really a drive to escape the system or the problems it has, but instead to figure out the problem, understand it, and fix it.
Alright, so Graveyardfox? I just had a few things about your form. I like the idea but the ability will need to change. Firstly it's not exactly based on a physical ability, second, it pushes the limits of being a small ability. To top it off, I'd have to sit and describe everyone's intentions all the time. It would be best if you changed it to something else entirely because it would cause so many issues.
Also under the "Other" section of your form, I just thought I'd let you know that no one has memories of Earth. All the characters know nothing about their pasts if they had them. You basically appeared out of nowhere. I did explain this in the first post, but I can't get mad at you or anything because I know I was very vague when I explained. Either way though, it makes sense that Tate would feel that way.
Lastly I was wondering about the light up goggle thing? Can you explain how they work? I can't picture it.
My sincerest apologies if this analysis would ruin anything about your character, but I'm just trying to make sure nothing clashes with the story so I can make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone. Remember, if you have any questions feel free to Rmail me or Incubator.
On a side note, Tate's character is a lot like mine, haha. Don't worry though, it's fine. They're different enough anyway. I have no form for her currently, but you'll see it soon enough. I can already see certain characters working well together as a team, can't wait to roleplay with you guys!
I don't see how it surpasses any of the abilities listed, none of which are based on physical abilities either (walking through walls, seeing through walls, summon objects, etc), and the glowing heal is supernatural as well and not exceptionally small. With the way described, Lexus could lose an arm and be fine because instantly patched up and not bleeding out through major blood paths. Not to mention Aura is basically just a simplified form of being able to read microexpressions. Those would be even harder to explain and would require research on microexpressions to describe them and their intentions. Basically instead of fifty or more different microexpressions to describe when relevant, it would require simply a spectrum of light to dark and thin to thick. I considered the microexpressions and instead went to Aura and it's much simpler and not beyond what's reasonable considering the other powers of all players.
Also even though it is constantly active, it only needs to be mentioned when relevant as it can be assumed that no one swings to an extreme Tate would be concerned about on a regular basis. Character interaction is the only other time it would be relevant, and even Oliver has a form of this in that he would notice little "oddities" in behavior. The only difference is he may not be able to understand the meaning of them.
It would ruin the character to switch to a completely different ability. Rika suggested to me I base his character personality on something that would develop into an Aura reader (calculating, quiet, observant, etc.) so I can't play him if he doesn't have a similar ability and like I said, a "smaller" ability would only be more complex.
The light up goggles is simply that in the rim of the frame around the lenses are little lights that can be turned on through a button push on the side. They basically have the power of a decent flashlight. Something similar to this except not as obvious as a flashlight fixed to the side of a pair of glasses. tle="" href="http://cdn.instructables.com/FYQ/R317/FUI0SDT5/FYQR317FUI0SDT5.MEDIUM.jpg">[x]
Unfortunately if I have to make a drastic change to him such as removing his ability to "read" people either "supernaturally" or realistically I'm probably going to have to withdraw, as his character was based on that concept and I don't have the time or energy to try to modify him that much while I'm still taking classes and approaching finals.
Alright look. First of all, the abilities listed for everyone are completely different things from what you choose for a character. I already know they aren't physical, as they are not supposed to be. The user chosen ability is the one that needs to be physical. And also, Incubator's ability doesn't regrow her arms if she loses them. It's simply quicker healing, that does not mean instant recovery of limbs or any other wound. That being said, I cannot allow a non-physical ability just because it would be easier for you.
I see that the character is based on the ability, but that doesn't mean you can't still have a physical ability that fit's his observant personality. My own character is highly observant as well, but I don't need an aura reading ability for her observant nature to work. The best I can say is that you change the way in which it works. Making it more of an ability of the mind. That would make our character's abilities  the same, though that's not unheard of.
If you still wish to join, which I really hope you do, I hope you find the time to keep up. Though I found many problems with the form, I do like your character a lot and I definitely want you to be part of this roleplay. I just don't want you to think I hate you and your character over this small problem.
Name: Valkyrie
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Species: Android
Appearance: Valkyrie has dark skin and brown hair styled in spikes, she has purple markings on her body and wears silver armor decorated with purple stripes. She also has a black undergarment, leggings and gloves. Her weapon of choice is always a long spear, when she can get her hands on one.
Ability: Highly observant, Valkyrie can analyze a situation and make calculated decisions that many normal people would not think of. Unfortunately because of this, sometimes she over-calculates and misses the simplest solution right in front of her.
Personality: Valkyrie naturally acts like a leader, making decisions for the group as a whole without noticing. Many believe she has no emotions because she almost always speaks in a monotone, but she lets her emotions show at times. The most frequent emotion she shows is anger, due to the slight anger management issues she has. This problem clouds her judgement often, though she tries to hold it back. Valkyrie believes that if you start something, you should follow through to the end, no matter what.
Other: Though she is an android, Valkyrie can still feel pain and emotions.
"Where... am I?" Valkyrie saw nothing but light before things faded into view. She lay on the ground, the sun beating down on her. Sitting up, she glanced around the area. There were others here as well, waking up at the same time. As they opened their eyes, she saw the same confused ex
pression on them that she felt inside.
"Aw man," Stan grumbled, picking himself up off the ground, "I feel terrible." He groggily looked at Valkyrie, who stood up as well. "Who are you?" he asked, "And who are these other people?"
"I'm not sure." Valkyrie answered plainly, looking to the outline of a city in the distance.
"Talkative, I see." Stan said sarcastically, walking around the others and studying them. "Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm Stan." he said.
Hatter woke up to the sound of people talking. He quickly sat up, suddenly realizing something was missing and began to franticly look about. When he finally spotted his hat just out of arms length he breathed a sigh of relief. Pulling himself up he brushed off and walked over to retrieve his fedora.
"Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm Stan." he heard.
Setting the fedora on his head, Hatter looked over at this Stan character, and decided it would be best to retrieve all the information he could on his situation.
"Nice to meet you Stan!" Hatter replied, stepping over some people to shake Stan's hand. "The name's Hatter... Mad Hatter." he chuckled a bit then cracked a smile. He felt an odd sense of amusement when he said his name but he didn't know why. "Anyway, Stan. I don't suppose you or your friend over there know anything about this slumber party we're having?"
Valkyrie turned her head to look at the two. "We're not friends," she stated, "I don't even know him."
Stan shook Hatter's hand with a smile, ignoring Valkyrie's comment. "No, I don't," he answered. Then he thought for a moment. "Come to think of it, I don't remember anything at all, not even what day it is... It's like amnesia or something." Stan stared off into the sky, thinking.
((Whoo, gettin' started right away! Yeehaw! Have we got a posting order? Only asking because when I leave and people post like, 2000 times it gets very irritating.))
Soledad sat up at the voices and rubbed the back of his head, grimacing. What were the names he heard? Stan? Hatter?
Not familiar in the slightest.
He flicked his tongue out and got a sense of who was up - a female and two males. Probably. To double check, he opened his eyes. Oh, look at that, he was right! That was a first.
Another first was being in this predicament. And, speaking of firsts;
"Uh, hey? I'm er... I'm Soledad."
Wow, he actually said words. Amazing what one can do when they put their mind to it.
((There's no posting order, but I'd like to make sure everyone gets a chance to post without things getting too far. Though if someone is gone for days or something, we'll have to forget them until they come back.))
"Hey, Soledad. I'm guessing your situation's the same as ours." Stan said with a laugh. "In case you didn't already know, I'm Stan." he said, holding out his hand to shake. He didn't seem to think anything of the fact that Soledad didn't look like an ordinary human.
((Hey finally back from work. ^_^ I'm so happy to get started!!))
Lexus woke up in a daze, with her head throbbing and her heart pounding. What had just happened? She couldn't remember...
She sat up and pinched the bridge of her nose. When she opened her eyes again, she saw other people--it looks as if they were wondering the same. Lexus tried to think of any possibility, but nothing came up. In fact, she couldn't remember much at all. Well, she knew her name.. her gender, her age, her appearance--no wait. What were these markings on her skin? Looking down at her hands, she noticed strange, light blue markings. They swirled around her palms and seemed to go under her jacket. She pulled her sleeves down further to try and cover them, feeling a bit self-conscious. Little did she know they were on her face too.
Realizing she was still on the ground, Lexus got on her feet. She looked ahead, and approached the others. The only name she caught was Stan's.
