Claire raised an eyebrow at him. Cuter? Nuh-uh. She shrugged, "Severin isn't cute, anway." She said. "He's not romantic, nice, and he doesn't really talk much.." she listed, but ran out of things he wasn't. He was perfect, right? "But I still love him." She finished. "But, that's not the point. I'm glad you know how I feel."

At that, Calamity laughed again. "You're calling my baby brother ugly now. That's just horrible," he said, still laughing a bit. He stopped to shrug slightly, a wide smile that implied that he was about to burst out laughing again set on his lips. "I'm glad you're glad." he stated.

Calamity's eyes widened. "How could I forget my own brother?" he asked in a breathy whisper. "When he gets back, I'll be happy. After all, he isn't going to be gone forever."

"Apparently," Calamity said with a nod, a smile returning to his face. "I'll beat him up for being an idiot. Fair enough, right? Severin's going to have this on his permanent record; I can only imagine how hard..." His voice trailed off. This wasn't something talk about with a girlfriend who held him in such a great image. "Severin's lucky to have a girl like you." he told her almost absentmindedly, his eyes straying to look above a window.

"Lucky," Calamity scoffed. "No, no, trust me," He reached over and patted her hand, looking into her eyes with a wide pair of his own. "he's the lucky one. And don't bother to argue," He pressed his back against the cushion of his seat, looking at the ceiling and adding, "it's not worth your breath."

Calamity tilted his head. "Severin's an as.shole," he said simply. "abad person to be around if you don't want to get into trouble, too, 'cause he's a freakin' magnet for it. I don't know if he wants to be in trouble, or if he doesn't even care and does whatever he wants because of that."

Shaking his head, Calamity leaned over the table. "To everyone, Claire. Don't single yourself out." he said. At least, he hoped that's how it was. He'd feel horrible if Severin preffered a girlfriend over his own brother.
