In the eerie darkness of a pitch-black cave was Ace, twirling in a speedy circle.  He couldn't control his urge to dance, his desire to spin and leap.  He had forgotten about the trouble of his power -even though he'd always thought it was a useless power- And was enjoying the twinkle of the stars.  The moon shone like a flashlight, though the light strayed away from the depths of Ace's cave, shining instead on the frozen surface of the pond that lie adjacent to the cave.

The frosty air filled his nostrils with the scent of Winter as Ace stumbled out of the safety and comfort of the natural dwelling.  The beeze that gusted through was bone-chilling, and the boy quickly retreated back to his rocky home, which was warmed by the heat of a dimly-burning fire.

 Amara kept her hands by her face to keep warm as she ran home from the bookstore. Her favorite novelist was in town signing books and she HAD to get them signed. Her hands glowed a faint red from the heat that was coming from them. She stopped in her tracks, looking around.

 "*sigh* Great, I knew I should have had daddy drive me home. I have absolutly NO sence of direction! I wish I had a map. and it doesnt help that it's nighttime, but at least its clear. theres even a full moon." She started slowly walking down the sidewalk hoping to get a sence of where she was, but also keeping caution. No weirdo perv was gonna kidnapp her tonight!

Ace felt a lonely vibe, being solo in the wilderness always gave him that feeling.  Over the horizon, he could faintly see the lights of the nearby town.  After mulling it over for a moment, he decided a little stroll couldn't hurt.

It took a good ten minutes to walk to town, the usually bustling streets perpetually empty that night.  His gleaming eyes surveyed the area through the hair that covered them.  And then he remembered.  His gaze shifted to the sky above with a concerned ex
pression.  Ace had heard shortly before that a blizzard had been creeping up on them slowly, and that it would soon snow harder than ever before.  The sky had filled with clouds in record time, and the first flake drifted down gently.  His worried glare swept the streets, and he spotted a lone figure wandering down the sidewalk.  He paced up to her rapidly.  "Umm, miss?  You'd better get home soon."  He warned, calmly.

Really? I would think atom manipulation would be easy to understand. Like, if you were on a deserted island, you could just change the atoms in the water to a solid substance and walk to a main land. 0.o

Other: Thrown out of her house just last month. She makes money doing odd jobs for people. 

"You live in a cave?" she asked, surprised. poor thing... She took his arm and wraped it around her shoulder. she released extra heat to heat both of them up, then started to walk in the direction he pointed. she could see a faint glow of ember through the storm and started heading toward it. after a couple of minutes of struggling, she finally made it to the cave and leaned him against the wall. she slid down and breathed a heavy sigh.

"finally," she said and yawned.

Ace wanted to argue, but instead just let her take him to the cave.  He felt a little selfish for allowing her to stray so far from her home town, but he also felt too tired to think.  One thing he did think about was how lousy his power controlling was.  Probably becauase his power was rarely used, and he didn't have much practice.  He did utter up the strength to add a couple more logs to the fire that had just barely clung to life, and it burst into a joyful flicker of flames.

((Aww!~  I want a kitty here so bad.  I only have kitties at my father's house.  Can't have one here because we have a Pit Bull~))

 Amara watched the flames dance. She wasnt going anywhere with that storm and her phone was probably acting up. she would just wait out here until the storms p*censored*. She motioned her fingers at the flame to make it larger and warmer. She closed her eyes and hummed a tune in her head.

Derek was walking home from the cafe with labtop in hand. He motioned the snow away from him so he was only hit with the wind, which didnt really bother him much.

 What is he thinking?! Only giving people two days to finish a book report! dad's gonna be pissed, I'll just say the storm caught me up. Not like he'll believe me, but making up an exuse is better than noth- He was cut short when he bumped into something.

"Dammit, what the hell was that?" He looked up to see what he just ran into to see a girl. "Shoot. Sorry miss, wasn't watching where I was going."

Poppy kneeled near the frozen lake and wrapped her coat tighter around herself as she traced a crack in the ice. Snow landed on her and she sneezed.
"Damn." She hissed. She knew she was getting a cold and needed to get home. But she loved this lake. Looking around, she got up and wiped the snow from her shoulders. But suddenly she couldn't rremember the way home.
She had come to this lake so many times that it was like a friend, and it had always leaded her home. But suddenly, in the middle of the night, everything was eery and creepy. Shivering, Poppy hugged herself and turned around, looking for the path to the town. Every tree looked sinister and even the lake itself looked ready to swallow her.
"Help?" She croaked, before realising that no one would be around, no one else knew where this lake was.
She walked to the nearest tree and curled up underneath it. She just had to wait til morning.
