Ace's strength had been almost completely recovered, and he sat up straight.  "Thanks."  He turned to the girl, grinning.  The least he could do for her would be to cook up a meal, but first he'd have to find one.  He thought back to the pond outside his cave, conviently stocked with large fish. 

"I'll be back."  He as.sured.  The snow collected outside the cave, stacking up in large mounds with white grace.  Ace stepped outside with caution, working his way to where the pond sat.  He shoved the snow off of a small section of the frozen surface, then picking up a short yet sturdy stick.  He stabbed at the ice, working vigorously until it broke through, revealing crystal clear water.  A noise then hit his ears, and he glanced to a nearby tree, his eyes meeting a frightened girl. 

"Don't be afraid."  He spoke in a calm tone, approaching her slowly.

"mkay," She watched him leave. Hmm, maybe some water would be nice... Ill melt some snow into water...but I need a container of somekind... Oh, I know! She grabbed into her bookbag to reveal an empty thermos. She grabbed some snow with her coat sleeve since she wasnt wearing gloves and put some in it, and put her hands to it to melt the snow. she screwed on the cap and shook it, then dumped it out into the fire, which caused it to go out.

"oops," she said and turned over the logs to reveal they're still-dry side and lit it. "There, my thermos is all clean!" she filled up the container with more snow from the top of a pile that was just outside the cave. "We dont want to drink dirty snow, now do we?" then started to melt the contents of the thermos.

Derek stood up and wiped the snow off his labtop bag. "Sorry 'bout that again. this storm is really startin to pick up. Great, now where am I? the snow is to thick to see anything." He could have easily taken care of this and just evaded the snow, but he didnt want to reveal his power to anyone.

Poppy jumped up and gasped. "Oh, uh... hi. Sorry if I'm not supposed to be here.." She twisted her fingers together and sneezed again. "Um, do you know the way back to the town?" She sniffled and wiped her nose on her sleeve. I must look like some homeless girl. She thought and sighed. I wonder if he has powers too... Poppy felt a strong urge to shift into a warm animal but knew that if this guy didn't have powers, he would freak out.

When the water was all melted she lay her bag against the wall and sat up against it and began to do her geometry homework.

Derek sighed and looked around. noone in sight.

"Listen, do you hear that?" he said, hearing faint voices in the distance.

Poppy didn't know whether to trust this guy, or run. She took a step forward and looked at him. He didn't seem to have any weapons. "A cave?" She asked, confused. "And what's your name?" She didn't know why she was talking to this guy, she should be running away or at least shifting.

"What, no thank you?" Derek smirked then grinned. when they got close enough he saw a cave with a girl inside it, and further up he could barely make out two figures in the blizzard.

"Hey!" He yelled, getting the girls attention.

"Oh, Hi!" Amara smiled and got up. "Come in before you freeze to death!"

"Yes a cave.  And my name is Ace."  His grin dimmed down when he realized she was having a hard time deciding what to think of him.  When he really thought about it, it did seem weird that he'd ask a girl to come to his cave with him.  He simply shrugged it off.  "You can head to town, if you're sure you can be quick.  It's that way."  He pointed southward.  He heard another voice faintly, but chose to ignore it for now.

Gaia shuffled uneasily before deciding to stand against the outside of the cave, pulling her collar up and hat down. One new person today was enough and she didnt like being close to people. After a few minutes, she sat down, pulling the hem of her mucus green coat over the bottom part of her legs and coaxing a few blades of gr*censored* from below the snow for insulation.

Two figures made their way through the snow in a town, one was shorter than the other. "I told you we should have stayed in that abandoned house, Neaco." The shorter one argued, wrapping his arms around himself and muttering something under his breath. Infront of him, Neaco had his hands in his pockets and trying to remember the way to the small store that sold food. They weren't really hungry, but that place was safer and warmer than the abandoned house they saw not too long ago. "Go back to that abandoned house if you want, Keneth," Neaco replied. "But I'm going to find that store."

Keneth sighed then increased his pace so he was beside his older brother. His thoughts now were about his power. Illusions wouldn't help them find a place to stay, and sometimes he felt like his powers were useless. But it did come in handy when I was chased by that grumpy man, he thought, remebering the time when he had stolen a piece of bread from a bread stand. He small smile crept onto his face as he remembered what happend.

"So, you guys lost, too?" Amara asked.

"um, kinda." said Derek.

"It sucks, stupid snow... you guys want some water? I just met a nice guy, he said he'd be back soon. I wonder where he went..."

Vincent stood in a silent world. He smiled, watching the snowflakes fall around him. Closing his eyes, he stopped time. Upon opening them, he laughed. The flakes hung in the air, not moving. He stepped forward, the bits off white hiting him and moving off. He glanced around, figures stood on the horizon. Warmth, probably important. He headed in the direction. Two figures where halted in the act of running. Restarting time, he tapped one on the shoulder, the boy. "Where are you headed?" he asked.

Imo stood stock still, the wind blowing around her like a tornado. The swirling white snow obscured her fatures, but you could see her basic outline.  Zara sat a little ways away,making snow balls. She had a pretty decent pile at this time. "Come on Imo, hurry up. I thought you wanted to make a snowman." she siad dryly. Imo cracked open an eye. "I did," she siad softly, "I am working on it." Zara rolled her eyes. Imo twitched, sending the breeze to the side. It swirled violently, finnaly clearing to show a well sculpted form of a girl, sitting in the snow. Imo grinned at her masterpeice. Zara growled, "Is that me?" Imo laughed and nodded. Over in the distance, they heard voices. "Party!" Imo screamed, tugging Zara off her feet, and dragging her to the cave. "Hi!" she said to the various people there.
