Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath to prepare herself mentally. "Yeah, let's do this." She said, taking his hand and smiling. As they entered they ballroom, Meridith took a look around. People had already arrived and more were coming in. The room that had been so quiet in the morning was filled with chatter and laughter.

Kentaro smiled slightly, slipping into his character more and more so that he could fit in and thne break out quickly when danger came. "Well, would you like to separate now or mingle as a couple for a while before we head off?" He looked at her and his voice was more silky.

Meridith glanced around the room again. The party had only been going on for a few minutes now so it was just a small crowd at the moment. "Let's stay together for now. When more people arrive, we can split up then." She looked up at him and gave him a genuine smile, unlike the polite ones she had been giving the other guests.

Kentaro nodded. "Are we sister and brother this time, or what?" He whispered in her ear. "What does our alias say?" He looked at her, hoping her purse held more than a weapon. He stood up straight as someone came over to talk, apparently they had known each other. He looked at the man and started to make idle chat.

Luckily, Meridith had thought to bring that info along with her. It wasn't the first time she had been asked this after all. As the man came over, Meridith made up a reason to excuse herself so she could look it up. Finding the paper she was looking for, she quickly scanned it and learned that their relationship for this mission was dating. Folding the paper up, she returned to Kentaro. He was still talking to the man, and as Meridith gave the guy a polite smile, she slipped her hand into Kentaro's hoping he would get the message. It was a precautionary step, just in case the man wondered why a strange women had suddenly joined in their converstation.

Kentaro looked at Meridith and nodded, intertwining his fingers with hers. "My apologies, sir. I didn't mean to interrupt. Anywho, you were saying your business was falling slightly, well, why not try cutting back on the amount of resources you use. If there are unnecessary parts in the machine, take them out. I mean, if you have one extra scream, you'll end up with a whole hoard of them in the end." He nodded as the man walked away. "GUess we're dating?"

Seeing his nod out of the corner of her eye, Meridith felt herself relax. "Well that was a simply fascinating conversation." She yawned as the man left. "And what made you think that we're dating?" She finally answered. "I just felt like holding your hand." She managed to keep a straight face for a few seconds before grinning. "Of course we are. I'm glad you knew what I meant. I can just imagine how awkward an introduction could have been if you didn't."

Kentaro gave a laugh and he smiled. "now now, don't be feisty with me my love. I mean, I didn't mean to be mean to you." He laughed slightly and looked at Meridith. He laughed a little bit. "So, how about we go get some refreshments while the guests keep arriving." He smiled slightly.

"You? Be mean to me? That never happens!" She teased with a light laugh. "The refreshments are a good idea though." Meridith said before starting off in the direction of the tables.

Kentaro chuckled and followed his 'love' toward the refreshments until something caught his attention. He saw it for a second, but it was there. A small gun concealed in a plant and then another that was in a man's sleeve. His eyes narrowed and he quickly followed Meridith, grabbing her. He leaned in close to her ear, almost at her cheek, making it seem like a kiss. "Hey, I saw a man with a gun just now. I couldn't see his face because the gun caught my attention, but there was another in a plant."

Meridith laughed and ducked her head, as if embaras.sed by the 'kiss'. "So much for us just being here as a precautionary." She said, her head still down. "Did you see what direction he went?" She lifted her head up and smiled at Kentaro but kept her voice low enough for no one to hear. There was no point in asking him if he was sure he saw a gun. She trusted him to much to question.

ooc:// as the baddie, which could be a female if you want. I just made it a man right now, anyways, just do what a normal bad guy would. Ya know? I can't tell ya what to do, roleplaying is about making up your own plot twists. and as a baddie, there could be plenty. Like maybe this guy isn't even the main guy. Or maybe it's a robot. idk. XD

Kentaro shook his head. "No love, I didn't where the bathrooms were yet. But i can look for them." He spoke clearly, knowing there was someone listening in on their conversation and plus, another noble had walked by and if he said anything suspicious, it might draw attention.
He looked around. "We can look for them seprately. I'll head up to the second floor and see if i can see anything from there. You can search more down here? Sound like a plan?"

Meridith nodded. "That's fine with me." She wanted to end their conversation quickly. She knew somebody heard what they had said and if they waited too long, a well-meaning person could interrupt and show them the restrooms. "And shall we meet by the refreshments in about ten minutes?"

Kentaro quickly nodded and turned on his heel before someone could come up to them and show them the bathrooms, which could cause trouble. He quickly made his way up the steps to the second floor and walked around for a few seconds, taking in the surroundings. There weren't as many people upstairs as there were downstairs, but there were still quite a few. He mentally slapped himself. They seriously should have thought about the idea of the plants having something planted in them (no pun intended) and searched them when the place had been empty.

Meridith watched him go before turning in the opposite direction. As she walked through the crowds and took everything in, she frowned slightly. They had made a huge mistake, one that could cost someone their life. She racked her brain, trying to image what else they could have missed. How did someone manage to hide the guns in the first place? She thought. She knew for a fact that this place had been constantly guarded in preparation for the ball.

Amy was dressed in her ball gown carring a large purse, larger then the rest. She had a gun, atalkie talkie and a few more agent objects hidden in it. She entered and waited for Avven to come, impationetly.
Avven walked in dressed in a black tux and a white shirt under it, followed with a hard to see white tie. Amy grunted as she seen him. "Great.." she muttered and walked to him.
