"Well... ok." muttered Xirus. She looked at her metal arm and asked the angel "What if magic became one with mechanics? What would you call that?"

"Hello, this is... Mom Universe. Yes, the children are playing swords. Sorry, playing with swords. They\'re bleeding, oh noo they are dead. Don\'t call again. * click * Sorry I panicked"

The angel decided to humour the group and pondered the question for a moment...
"I suppose I would call it magical-science. Alchemy i suppose" said the Angel. It took Xirus' mechanical hand and examined it.

Whether we wanted it or not, we\'ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let\'s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta\'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He\'s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Firen ducked out from behind the building where he'd been hiding, drawing upon his magic. "If she's a Witch, does that make me a Sorcerer?" He said, before muttering a few words. A gray mist pooled in his hand, before he threw it at the angel.

the Angel let it hit him and flinched only slightly. "No, a witch is a witch, regardless of gender. Sorcerers are things of myth. And what do we do with Witches?" The Angel's hands caught fire and he hurled two flaming bolts at Firen. Despite the fat they were flying 5 feet off the ground they managed to scorch he gropund wiht thier heat. "We burn them"

(Angels are sadists)

Fennrick let the others deal with the Angel and climbed around to the front of the altar and started to cut the man free with his dagger. "You can thank me later-and I do expect a big thank-you." He said with a smirk.

If a man dedicates his life to good deeds and the welfare of others, he will die unthanked and unremembered. If he exercises his genius bringing misery and death to billions, his name will echo through the millennia for a hundred lifetimes. Infamy is always more preferable to ignominy-Fabius Bile

The man seemed horrified, as he had witnessed fenrick's magic, and instead of a thank you he just ran as fast as his grizzled legs could carry him back to the town.

"I guess you will just mail me my reward or something." Fennrick said sarcastically.
Now, what to do about this Angel...He peered around the altar. Perhaps while my coincidental allies distract it I can look through my best spells and select an Angel-killer, or better yet, they can do the job for me.

The Angel became bored with his quarry. "Now if you'd like, i could let you live and resume my blood sacrifice un-adhered. Or I could kill you all. Your choice, Heathens'

Xirus muttered "No more sacrifices please. Why can't angels be into something nicer, like knitting? Knitting is good, it's not mean or violent, AND NOBODY LOSES ANY LIMBS!" Then she flinched for fear that the angel might hurt her.

Firen winced, drawing a sword that had been given to his parents by an angel. "Fine. You want me to be a witch?" He whispered, feeling rage boil. "I'll be one" He said, making gusts of wind whip around the angel, before adding a tiny flame into it. The wind made the flames roar up quickly around the angel.

The Angel stumbled and shielded it's face, but it could already feel itslef weakening. It roared and shot up into the air, if only suspended for a moment, as it's wings were blackened and smouldering. It landed on it's feet and rushed towards Firen, recognising the sword as being of aneglic origin. "How dare you, Heathen, wield something so Holy?" it yelled

Xirus looked at the angel that looked like it was burning. "Oh, goody. Fire show!" She said in a slightly sarcastic tone. "Do you think that will hurt him?" Xirus asked Firen. "I hope it does."  she added.

Firen raised an eyebrow at Xirus. "Don't know. But it was worth the look on his face." He said, grinning, before seeing the angel. "I wield this holy weapon as it was given to me, fiend!" He yelled, pulling up his tunic to reveal the angelic swirls on his back. "And good riddance." He muttered.

"You ceratinly are Lost," the Angel laughed, "to try an act so foolish!" The Angel clicked his fingers and a new sword appeared, this one slimmer and shinier, glowing pale blue.

Xirus was pretty happy now. "Okay, so it did hurt him." She couldn't understand why the angel was mad Firen for having an angel sword. Maybe it was jealous that it's own sword was now a wilted flower. But that couldn't be it. "Angels always think of themselves as the best, remember? They hate if something else gets their hands on something of theirs."Xirus mentally reminded herself. "And they talk funny."

"Shouldn't a holly sword not hurt a holly being?" Tyrin muttered, "It's a stupid design otherwise."

"Another sword? Are you kidding me?" Xirus angrliy shouted. Then she asked. "That other sword is bad news, right?"

"I never did like angels, always so uptight and correcting" He muttered, realizing that he'd shown the angel the wrong brand. He rocked back on his heels, before sheathing the angelic sword in favor for a small engraved dagger which he'd made a couple of years ago.

"Yes" said Cadiak, having maanged to recover and walk back. "And an angel's sword is not Holy. It's just made of a materiel found only in the heavens which the angels proclaim as 'Holy'. And in fact the swords are betetr at killing angels, as angels often fight amongst themselves"

The angel took a step towards Firen and amde a quick jab towards his stomach.

"True. Like my old perfectionist nanny, but more evil, scary and rude." Xirus commented. "Now I do believe that we should kick some giant, ugly angel butt! Do you agree?"
